I am making a Magus (Bladebound and Kensai archetypes) as a backup character in a campaign that allows both 3.5 and Pathfinder material (with a focus on 3.5.) Since my character has come under attack by ninjas, I want to have a known NPC who can come in as a player character should he die.
Magus looks like an interesting class... I was wondering if it was worth it to take Abjurant Champion as a PRC? I lose class features, gain BAB, gain hit points, and gain AC. Seems useful, and like it would synergize well with Kensai, given the lack of armor. But some of the class features are really powerful... The capstone for the Bladebound Archetype in particular looks really good. Is it worth losing them for Abjurant Champion?
