I am making a deck of cards for all the moves and stances in the Path of War book. I have finished the Black Seraph card set so far and I would like everyone's opinion on it. This is largely being created for my own use, but I know that this will be of use to quite a few other players out there, so I hope I did not do too bad.
Please keep in mind I have nearly 0 art talent and I am using my roomies photoshop to make these, so dont expect anything too fancy from me :P

So....what do you guys think? Should I stick with what I am doing, or is there something I should change? Ideas?

The main things that seem missing are initiating action, and the duration of strikes. That seems like crucial information to have.

Secondarily, on a matters of Aesthetics: I think there's perhaps a bit much spaced wasted on the borders, but then I'm pretty utilitarian in my aesthetics.

Also, small nitpick, it's "2nd" rather than "2nt".

Thanks for the feedback. I was planning on adjusting the border for the next batch since I learned I did it wrong the first time.
The reason I did not add initiating time is they are all the same. Every boost and stance is a swift, and every strike is either a standard or a full action. For the ones that are full actions I have added the information as such.

also...that moment when you find out you have been writing 2nd wrong your whole life <_<.

The nd/nt thing is often spoken, rather than written, except in dates, so it's understandable, especially if you're from somewhere with a comparatively strong accent that turns ds to ts at the ends of words.

Spell and maneuver cards are awesome and convenient. I made some for myself too when I started playing Harbringer.
Here is (http://i.imgur.com/2EGnHgu.png) the example of my cards, here is (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/hhfrvldmhj4esgz/AADTIN7WUW0AjAoTM40vWU1fa?dl=0) the template (*.svg file) if people are interested. I've done those in Inkscape, it is really simple to use so you can do any of those for yourself if you want. I am thinking about doing the full set, not only the cards I personally use but... Kinda haven't persuaded myself to start yet :smalltongue:

Manually making each card in Photoshop or Inkscape's a losing proposition, though. Ideally it would be set up with a database of card info, and that run through a template to generate all of the cards at once (and allow easy updating).

Ya know, this is true. I dont know why I did not think of this earlier myself. I should be able to whip something up like that in javascript easy enough.
I will give this a shot.

Possibly this is true. But with a template I can do cards fast enough (it is basically just changing text where necessary) so I do not consider this a losing proposition. Considering the number of maneuvers is not that high yet, it is easier to me to just do them manually than trying to create some kind of code to do the same automatically. I also like the graphics editor approach for the ability to tailor aestetics and details for your taste. For auto-generated cards you will either simply have small text organised into lines, like Perram's Spellbook (http://www.thegm.org/perramsSpellbook_custom.php), or you will have your fair share of problems to fit the information into your template (and even more problems when the information is not really fit for it). I can think of ways to cope with that problems... But honestly, I am not that good with html so I am not going to try doing that, at least for now. I am okay with spending a couple more minutes on every card not to deal with all that stuff. Each to their own, I guess.
