So I was reading through the Godsmoot scene (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0998.html) that flashes back to the explanation of the Gates (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0278.html) (:mitd: Huh? What gates?).

I was struck by just how much nicer it looks in the current art style. And that's just a panel of people talking (which pales in comparison to the latest artistic magnificentry (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots1010.html))

So I was wondering, what scenes from previous comics would you like to see in the new art style?

Personally I reckon the YOU! BROKE! MY! SWORD! (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0114.html) would look phenomenal.

You?

I would love to see this scene (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0120.html)

And the last panel as a poster

Being a huge fan of Elan, I'd very much like to see this scene (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0392.html), as well as the following fight, in the new art style.

The Roy vs Xykon fight in Azure City.

And the first comic, of course.

The Familicide (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0639.html) page would be a fun upgrade. if nothing else the image of the planet surrounded by magic aimed at all the Dragons ought to make a good poster.

I would love to see this scene (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0120.html)

And the last panel as a poster

Now that you mention it, almost the same thing looked quite differently 779 pages later (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0899.html).

It almost makes me wish this last one is going to get blown up as well.

This one, too. (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0439.html)

Also, this one (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0422.html).

Hell, just the entire siege on Azure City.

There's only one scene I think could be worked into the story in the new art style successfully.

At the end of the story, on the very last strip, Elan starts narrating the tale, and begins by repeating the first strip in the new art style. Comic fades to black...

I'd probably add this one too:

Cleric vs. Druid fight, with the transformation at the end. (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0353.html)

Roy's fight with Xykon in Azure City. (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0430.html)
Roy's fight against Thog. (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0788.html)

Well, it isn't technically the new artwork (since it still has the pre-book 6 hands) and it's not the complete strip, but the 2014 "10th Anniversary Calendar" features these two (though the first more features the complete Battle of Azure City, with Roy vs. Xykon being a quite prominent part of the background) among the 12 scenes it shows in upgraded style (the others are picked from these strips: 18 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0018.html), 37 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0037.html), 200 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0200.html), 400 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0400.html), 518 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0518.html), 637 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0637.html), 926 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0926.html), one from each SoD/OtOoPCs and one featuring Belkar vs. Miko originally planned as bonus for NCftPB)

On that I just noticed that one of the scenes in the calendar is how Durkon "leaves" Thor's temple in the dwarven lands (which was just shown in new art style in 1007 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots1007.html) - the old one is in OtOoPCs). The online/calendar versions are pretty similar (despite the book 6 art change), and the calendar version is more detailed (sans Durkon's boots because of the old art style).

The 2015 "Heroes Calendar" features mostly scenes that haven't happened in the comic shown thus for, but also features extremely sweet artwork (in the book 6 art style). Also it has the benefit that it seems to still be available at Ookoodook. :smallwink:

I'd like to see the current scene in the old art style.
