Thieves' Guild

[Vhaidara]

(There never will be a sign. This is secretive, remember?)

Somewhere in the Slums, are a few buildings are much larger than they seems. And by that, we mean underground passages and links to the Sewers Now located in a part of Alon's Swamp Castle. Every thief knows that crime is easier with a guild at your back, and that such guilds often dissaprove of freelancing.

Floors:

Cover House
Just an ordinary house. Really, everything except the fact that every door is locked and there are about 50 traps, all basic. Also, to get in, you have to pick the guard's pocket. If you beat all this, your in. About 10 of them, scattered throughtout the Slums.

Main Rooms
This is where you can find those of other epertises than you for a job, or even a second for you.

Treasury
Currently at about 100,100gp mostly in gems and art, and spread out throughout the guild, mostly behind walls that, for you DnD players, are a DC100 to find.

Safe Houses
Scattered all over the Town. So many, you'll never be more than an hour away from one.

Joining

Initiation
To join, you just have to get into one of the main rooms. This will change if we hit thread 3.

Benefits
You won't be attacked by other members attempting to rob you. You can take out a loan of up to 1,000gp worth of items out of the treasury (NOTE: This will increase as the treasury grows!). Assasains will not be sent to kill you for freelancing. You are also set up with the GTS, or Guild Telepathy System (Your members can contact any other members by telepathy [PM them in character])

Responsabilities
You must give 10% of all loot to the treasury. Failure to do such will be classified as freelancing and assasains will come knocking. That's about it. For now.

Draken Frosthand
Draken accepts most of the stolen goods to tun them into money. He also allows all members to use his 2nd floor as a training area. The main guild room contains a portal to his home in the forest.

Shadowbow
Shadowbow keeps an eye on shady characters, and is a prime reporter of freelancing and enforcer of no freelancing.

The Valenians
These vigilantes help us in exchange for information on capital criminals for crimes that aren't guild related.

Wanted
These are major freelancers, and those we're hunting to keep strong relations with the Valenians.

Duties of rank

Guildmaster
Runs the guild, and has power in every class. Votes on issues: 3. Term: Council length

Assistant Guildmaster
Backup Guildmaster. (Works like President, Vice President.) Votes on issues: 2. Term: Council length

Representitives
Elected by the classes, they elect and can impeach the guildmaster. They will only be elected after each class has three members. Votes on issues: 1. Term: Council length

Host
Official owner of current guildhouse, recieves complaints about living conditions. Votes on issues: 1. Term: varies.

Ambassador
Keeps strong relations with certain associates. Votes on issues: 1. Term: varies.

More will come as people join and give me ideas. Also, reps will be voted for at the same time as Council ONCE EACH GROUP HAS AT LEAST 3 MEMBERS. Until then, it's first come, first served for reps.

Artemis appears, seemingly from nowhere.

I sneakily snuck into the thieves gild, and thieved the thieves! Ha Ha Ha!

Waddle Dee walks up to one of the cover house doors, he trys to open it but seeing it locked he pulls out a skeleton key and opens it, he then begins running through looking for stuff, moving too fast for the traps to catch him

Yeah, yeah, rub it in.

(Metakirb: A little something Nightwing forgot. There ARE NPC members. About 100 of them.)

Well, it isn't really robbing us if you get caught, is it? No loot, no proof.

An Npc Grabs waddle dee as he rushes past

He bites the hand of the npc holding him and starts trying to get all the things back

One of the traps springs. This one is magic. Around 100 no-save, no-spell resistence slow spells are fired at Waddle Dee.

Dead time sets in until about noon.

Waddle Dee gets hit and starts running around at the speed of an average person, he continues finding more things but at a slower rate, often getting grabbed again.

[Nightwing]

You caught me be I still go away!

*He jumps forward and grabs the bag. He the teleports away. In his place is a note. The note says on it:

I will give you back your money if you let me join the gild. Just leave a note of my acceptance out side the building.

P.S. Dont use explosive runes.

*at that moment Lilly is passing by. When she hers the words "god modding" she interprets that as "Handsome prince on a unicorn". She tackles the thief and knocks him to the floor with hugs and kisses*

(Uh, Nightwing, you're already in the guild. You broke in. That means your in. I just need to know which membership type he wants. Oh, and, if he wants in, Waddle Dee can become a member.)

Artemis leaves.

Waddle Dee groans slightly as he reluctantly returns all the things he took

*Robert puts the money back. The he leaves*

(Bookboy, i think that in a place with so many freaking god-like beings you should have better benefits for the thieves guild, or you will atract few members. Most of the true elite murderers and scoundrels of the Town have oversized character sheets or are into better things than thievery, like [as said before] world dominion)

[Nightwing]

*Robert returns with a bag with 20 gp in it. Because he feels generous he will give them half. He puts 20 gp in the treasury*

[Fualkner Asiniti]

While the guards are distracted with Waddle Dee, small spiders have been collecting on the roof. They crawl into a corner and wait for the guard to turn his back to them. Then they make a chain of themselves and attempt to steal the key.

((The guards are still distracted after 2 hours? wow i made a hell of a commotion))

Waddle Dee heads down into a main room

[Nightwing]

*Robert sees the spiders*

*the guard turns around and attacks the spiders with his sword*

Deep in the main room digging can be heard as Waddle Dee digs a tunnel to a backroom of his shop

*Robert attackers the spiders with his knife*

Fualkner, the four armed teifling, bursts through the door and bites the distracted guard on the neck. The guard faints and falls to the ground. Fualkner pockets the guard's key.

Fualkner turns to Robert, extends his hand and says:

Fualkner Asiniti at your service. Don't worry about him, it's just knock out poison. Are you authorized to let members into the guild?

Waddle Dee runs back from finishing his tunnel, he looks at Fualkner

He bows, trips forward as he does and rolls into a wall

Waddle Dee picks up the spider to protect it from Robert

They're to small, and I've been to all of the places you've mentioned, and none of them are made of web.

Waddle Dee lands

He runs off up the tunnel and runs back with more pieces, he starts constructing a larger jetpack

*venom leaves the room. When he returns he is covered in orange paint. Then he steels one of the pieces waddle Dee is using for his....thing. Venom laughs his Little spider laugh*

Waddle dee pulss out a miniature Rocket launcher he made earlier

He loads a rocket

*Venom backs away from waddle Dee. Then he runs around in a circle as fast as he can.*

Waddle Dee calculates something in his head and fires where venom will be when the rocket hits

*He dodges it, but he drops the piece. he then shots a 5ft by 5ft web from his mouth a waddle Dee

Waddle Dee flips a switch on the rocket launcher and it turns into a flamethrower, he pulls another and a claw shoots out to grab the piece while he attempts to burn the web before it hits him

*the web is burnt, but venom jumps on the claw grabbing the piece*

The claw still grabs the piece and venom is pulled back to the gun, the flamethrower pointed right at him

tell him to leave me alone or i wont make him a jetpack or anything!

He goes into the corner and assembles some springs and wood into something that looks like a frisbee thrower. He then leaves to perchase some items.

A team of spiders pulls in a giantic spiked ring and load it into the contraption. They also leave a note.

The note says:
Door defender. Will throw spiked ring at intruders. Spiked ring and thrower need to be enchanted.

Fualkner wakes from dead time, when he had been enchanting the trap.

There. Now It'll defend the door until it is in pieces in seperate dimentions while on fire.

[Draken]

An amorfous blob of silvery metal slides throught the smalest gaps of the walls and doors, rejoining itself in a puddle of liquid mercury, the puddle then takes the form of a featureless humanoid.

#1100: This is the place, His Lord found it with his scrying, now I shall wait for the guildmaster to show up.

The creature waits, making weird things with it's liquid arms.

[Osnagard]

Osnagard walks around in the slums and spys an odd man gaurding a door. He sends one of his spirit servants to see what the gaurd is, well gaurding. Upon finding the Thieves' Guild the spirit servant steals the key from the gaurd and knocks him unconcious (yes in that order), Osnagard enters the house and sends a zombie forward to disable/trigger any and all traps. Osnagard finds himself in one of the main rooms and waits to be approached by a member while talking to Nitzy in whispers about how to defend themselves should things go sour.

((I realize I Godmodded to get in, but fingured it was okay given my powers and that it was an NPC... just tell me if it was wrong and I'm willing to start again from the begining, fairly this time))

Waddle Dee runs in at over 200MPH and into the main room

oh great, he's found me

He starts putting together a rocket powered fire extinguisher

(For now, it's basicly supposed to go like that. This guard is actually just a level 1 Commoner with good stuff [for a first level Commoner])

Artemis awakens from dead time, which he seems to have a problem with. He heads over to Osnagard.
So, we have another member. What sect to you want into?

Waddle Dee finishes his RPFE and straps it over his shoulder, then he starts testing it

[Osnagard]

Osnagard turns to Artemis and answers;
"This one is called Osnagard by those who know It. It's companion is called Nitzy. It thinks Itself sutible for any sect at all, as the undead are the ones doing most of the work, but Thug seems to be screaming "Hordes of the undead" to This one."
The fire golem extends a hand for a handshake then realizes it's plam is larger than Artemis' whole body, that and he's on fire. "Sorry, I forget sometimes."
The other various minnions are standing perfectly at attention.

Waddle Dee panicks slightly when he see's the fire golem ((he's currently on edge due to coronox, a being of pure fire, with a need to kill several people who almost killed him twice)) and fires his rocket powered fire extinguisher at him

[Osnagard]

In a chain of completely coincidental and unrealated events the fire extinguisher hits a zombie, who then falls into a skeleton. They both turn on Waddle Dee looking angry. When the foam (or whatever might be in your brand of extinguisher) hits Nitzy he doesn't even notice, it appears that something that small doesn't have any effect on him (I assume that it's scaled to your size)

((never underestimate waddle dees inventions, he may be smaller than an average cat but he can make a flamethrower/rocketlauncher/grabber claw thing in under 5 minutes))

Waddle Dee flips a switch on his RPFE and fires at the skeleton, this is a high pressure blast, which will probably blow the skeleton apart

[Osnagard]

The blast hits the skeleton and blows him to peices, the peices then proceed to regroup and skeleton stands back up, whole again. With a soundless cry of rage the skeleton runs headlong towards Dee intending bodily harm, of course.

Waddle Dee begins to run, he quickly runs up to Onsgard

can you call him off? i didn't mean to hit them first, the fire golem made me panic...

[Nightwing]

*Robber and Venom the spider fly in on there jet packs*

What is going on?

[Osnagard]

Osnagard looks to Dee, "This one can't be responsible for their actions, nor for yours", he takes one of the bells out and ring it, at the sound the skeleton returns to the group and stands at attention, "This is the only time It will stop them."

[Nightwing]

I asked a question!

i panicked when i saw the fire golem, 'cus theres a human shaped fireball trying to kill me and some others, and missed him with my RPFE and caused havok

[Nightwing]

with the fireball or right now? if now, then no, it's sorted, if it's about the living fireball, i don't want anyone else getting in danger, we thought we killed this guy twice before but he always comes back

[Osnagard]

Osnagard suddenly snaps out of deadtime, terribly embarrased about his unexpected nap, then looks to see if anyone is here.

[Draken]

#1100 waits for something to come his way, he begins to spread silvery tendrils over the cracks on the floor.

[Osnagard]

"Hey, this one takes it that you are looking for a current guild master too?", Osnagard says as he notices #1100. He also wonders what the silvery stuff is exactly and if it could be possesed, had he enough of it that wasn't already belonging to someone.

[Draken]

(You can try mind control, but it's a construct, so it will fail)

#1100 Stares at the man before him, wondering why he just spoke about hinself in third person.

I am #1100, but for a name among the humans, His Lord called me... Sliver. And yes, I await for the guildmaster, His lord sent me to make sure... no tragedyes are to occur.

[Osnagard]

((Right-oh, that's good enough for me. And I did mean litteral possesion, necromancer you know))

"This one is called Osnagard, and It's companion is known as Nitzy"
The fire golem nods it's head in greeting.
" "His Lord" eh, would it be improper for This one to ask whom His Lordship is?"

[Draken]

The construct speaks, but where his voice comes out, it's a mistery, for it has no features.

His Lord is that creator of all constructs, master Draken Frosthand, a local commerciant, and it is in his best interest that no Thieves Guild Members try to invade his castle... Or probably the named guilds interest, for I know of no invader's that stayed alive for more than ten minutes.

The tendrils fill all cracks in the floor and walls, giving the place a slight silvery brilliance.

[Osnagard]

At that Osnagards eyes widen, "That sounds like a challenge.", he turns to Nitzy, "What do you think?"
The golem scratches his head for a moment then responds " He did not create me, master Osnagard created me. I would let nothing kill master Osnagard, lets go now." Nitzy makes a move towards the door.
Osnagard stops the fire golem and explains to him the concept of sarcasm.

#1100 Watches the man leave and speaks to himself.

A challenge, no. A warning for most, His Lord doesn't like trespassers, he had to many problems already with self-righteous paladins, greedy thieves and stupid adventurers, now he usually sends some envoys to keep these things of happening.

...

But when they happen. Well, nothing to do but make some Flesh Golems.

Sliver awaits patiently for the guildmaster.

I am Sliver, sent here by His Lord, Draken to ensure that no... misunderstandings happen. The construct begins to stretch like a snake, it's tendrils surround every living being in the place, forming a head to face it and continue talking.

In many cityes we have been, most of then had crime disorganized, but where the thieves where gathered, I went as an envoy, to ensure that no invaders went to His Lord's castle. Now I come to you, to make the same propposal, we will set up a Gate here, you may use it to any purposses you wish, and you wil have fine benefits on the commerce with His lord, both aquisitions and sellings, but you shall not, ever try to rob him...

The construct gather himself back, forming an humanoid torso before Artemis, and standing still, waiting for an answer.

Sounds agreeable, but what's the catch? I've heard of this Draken guy, and he seems like someone that wouldn't need to bother with deals, but would simply let his security handle it. So, you must want something more. Also, I have a condition. He must allow us to use different areas as practice, but nothing stolen is kept, but returned.

[Osnagard]

While the tendrils and head are surrounding Osnagard he pokes them, trying to see if it's liquid or solid.

The catch is, His Lord hates to loose potential costumers he doens't really care if he works with heros or robbers, paladins or blackguards, he always tel us... "Humanoids, they are all the same". And for your condition, very well, every single entry or exit of the castle is guarded anyway, so it's impossible to really escape with loot...

Sliver drps to the ground and reforms in the ceiling, out of the tendrilss he spread in the floor.

The training areas are on the second basement, you will find anything you might need there.

A long tentacle touchs a wall, and a gate opens in the spot.

There you go, right to the basements, and as a bonus, I will stay here and enforce your security, and of course, I will watch you...

Sliver disapears in the breaches and reforms on the floor, his tendrils recoil nd rejoin his body.

I believe I shall now call you... Milord, I hope my presence here is of use.

He bows and waits for his answer.

"This One does not trust that thing", Osnagard whispers to Artemis. He then leaves a suitable number of undead gaurds ((under the guild's control)) and leaves, taking the rest of his mob and Nitzy with him. "This One shall be in Trog's if It is needed. It has a thirst."

((I knew Osnagard was a guy, but come on, Artemis sounds more like a woman's name thn a man's, don't blame me for getting it wrong.

Artemis walks through the portal to meet Draken.

Sliver follows him into the portal.

Osnagard re-enters the Theives guild, his newest creation "Val the blood golem" in tow.

He looks curiously at the new door to who-knows-where and while distracted gets hit in the face with a deadtime.

Shdowbow drops a note in Artemis' office and leaves.

[Vhaidara]

Artemis returns, and waits for Raril to catch up.

[Artemis97]

Raril follows Artemis inside, grinning at anyone he passes. "He's only an associate? Your full members must be really something then." He sounds genuinely impressed.

[Vhaidara]

No, he could be a mamber if he wanted, but he doesn't. Welcome to the guild. There are fairly good sleeping quarters, and the food is taken staight from the cupboards of the rich. Literally. I take it you want to be in the assasains branch with myself and one of the first three members, Robert Shadecloak?

(Incase Nightwing never mentioned it to you, he also plays Robert. He has around 25 characters.)

Seeing the smoke, Artmis curses and runs down the tunnel.
I'll be right back.

Raril examines the accomodations in the guild, quite pleased. "I can act as an assassin if you like, but my specialty is gathering information. I try not to get my hands too dirty." And just to demonstrate, he casts a few simple spells to clean and repair his clothing. "Not that I don't enjoy it from time to time." The drow grins wickedly.

He peers down the smoky tunnel. "Let me guess, you have a mage?" he looks slightly concerned.

((I think you're going to be there a while so..))

Raril gets bored waiting for the Guildmaster's return. He notices the traps on the door and goes to work not only disablieng them, but removing them completely.

[Vhaidara]

(You could come help. I never said stay there.)

[Artemis97]

(come help? Raril thinks there's a mage at the end of that tunnel, but alright.)

Seeing the smoke has stopped pouring through the tunnel, Raril replaces the traps on the door, draws a pair of icy shortswords from their sheathes, and walks down the tunnel.

Raril comes back into the guild, dusts himself off, puts away his weapons, and then steps out the front door.

*Robbert and Venom the spider fly in*

Ah, Robert, exactly who I needed to see. There's a drow named Raril at Trog's. He's a member, but I think he might be going to try and pull a freelance job. As the only other assasain, I need you to tail him, and, should he do the job and not report to me in two days, or give any loot to someone else, kill him.

Got it boss! Venom stay here.

Osnagard awakens from deadtime and looks to see if Artemis is still here.

"Couldn't help but overhear, should It not give the freelancer a more, 'Break your knees' kind of encouragement not to go against the guild?"

Val the blood golem exits the theives guild on a private mission for Osnagard.

[Vhaidara]

Simple, he's not a freelancer yet. Robert is going incase he chooses to become one.

[Osnagard]

"This one's point is, assasinss tend to kill people, with no warning. It feels that death is not necessary...yet", Osnagard shrugs, "Suppose It could interfere anyway." At this Osnagard leaves the guild in search of Raril.

((It really is my place to to this, but I understand that someone else was chosen because I wasn't online at the time. Osnagard sure doesn't seem to though :D ))

[Vhaidara]

(Hey, Robert's my second in command, and head assasain. This is his job!)

[Osnagard]

((You're the guild master, but I am head Thug, and as such I feel that warnings are my job. Like I said, assasins tend to skip straight to the kill, not much sense in being an assasin otherwise. Just my opinion. But if this isn't my thing, what is?))

[Vhaidara]

(You see, if he was freelancing, I wanted him killed imediately. You run things like mugging. Freelancing is your business for people outside of the guild that don't know the rules. When a guild member freelances, it's the job of the assasains, because guild members know the rules, and therefore the punishment is death.)

[Osnagard]

Raril strolls into the guild, looking for any activity.

[Osnagard]

For no apparently good reason, Osnagard awakens from deadtime inside the theives guild. Both golems are with him.

Raril jumps at their sudden appearence. "Don't sneak up on me like that!"

[Osnagard]

Osnagard, having just decided to walk towards the theives guild finds himself already there, with Raril speaking to him nonetheless.
"Ever so sorry", he says. "Anything intereesting take place?" Just as he asks the question a nameless zombie walks into the guild dragging a screaming child behind it, "Your final peice, Master."

[Artemis97]

Raril points to the zombie and the screaming child. "Well, that's pretty interesting." He grins at Osnagard.

((you've kidnapped a child? How could you?..oh wait Necromancer *sigh*))

[Osnagard]

(Not only kidnapped, ritually sacrificed, but that comes latter)

"Put him in the corner, it shall be completed later." The Zombie ties the child up and puts him in a corner where the boy cries untill he passes out.

"What are you planning to do with it?"

[Osnagard]

"Erm, this is a touchy matter with some... best if not discussed untill the time come... all This One will divulge is that it has to do with the two feathers.. and this!"
Osnagard pulls a flawless black Jet from his pocket.

[Artemis97]

Throws up his hands and laughs. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. But if you need some help, feel free to ask."

((you know I should read more carefully, and do you mean like an airplane Jet?))

Raril examines the Jet. "What does that do?"

[Osnagard]

((you're cool with killing an innocent *shock*))

"It thanks you, but no, living things tend to be consumed during this sort of thing. In the mean time It feels a need to steal something. Anything come to mind?"
Osnagard again scratches the tattooed side of his face.."If not there are always cards."

((Just read your edit: It's a gemstone, translucent black. like Obsidian, jet is just another name for it.))

"The peices, when combine, shall increase This One's powers quite a bit. The stone holds that power."

((I wouldn't be, but Raril doesn't care, so long as it doesn't hurt him))

Raril grins. "I'm all for stealing something. I'm not the best person to play cards with."

[Osnagard]

Osnagard moves towards the door, "Not sure what's around to be stolen, but lets go have a look.

Osnagard heads into the slums, then directly into the streets
(because I don't like posting all the inbetweens))

Raril follows Osnagard through the slums to the streets.

[Osnagard]

Osnagard lands with a thud in the theives guild. To the casual observer it looks like he's been knoked unconsious by the fall from who-knows-where. But upon closer insepcetion it is really.... deadtime.

[Artemis97]

Raril strides into the guild, but accidently kicks Osnagard on the way in, dispelling the drow's invisibility. He mumbles a quick apology and dissapears into a back room. A short while later a golden-haired, blue eyed elf, clad in white and wearing a holy symbol of Corellon Larethian, exits the same room. In Raril's voice he says "Time to get down to business."

[Osnagard]

Upon waking up in the guild Osnagrad notices that he is here alone... and that he has a horrible headache for some reason. Now is the perfect time to do some things of "questionable" morality.

Osnagard takes out and carefully arranges a bowl, his dagger, the two feathers and the Jet. He then drags over the unconsious child and splashes it with water to wake the boy up.

When this is done Osnagard whispers something in the boy's ear, then slits his throat. The boy falls to the groud, blood pouring from his neck, but not a drop is touches the ground. The blood was collected in the bowl.

Dipping a finger in the bowl Osnagard draws a perfect circle on the floor around himself and the "peices". He then draws for perfectly simetrical lines to the centre of the circle.

The dagger flashes again and the thigh bone of the boy is removed and set aside.

Osnagard piles what's left of teh child in the centre of the circle and pours the remaining blood over the body. The body spontaniously combusts, buring with black flames. The thigh bone, which was not in the fire, blackens as though it were.

In a matter of moments there is nothing left of the boy except teh one bone, which Osnagard places in the charred section in the middle of the circle along with the feathers and gem. He then removes and rings each of his seven bells once, in order from smalest to largest. At the sound of the seventh bell the peices melt and merge together forming a bone wand, perfectly white with a Jet set in one end.

Osnagard picks up the wand and cleans the area, nothing remains of this ritual except a faint bloodstained circle on the floor.... and the nightmares of a trapped boy screaming for help, that will forever haunt the dreams of anyone who sleeps in this spot.

Osnagard then leaves the guild heading for Trog's, things like this always make him thirsty.

((haha, no worries, he wasn't "in" at the time. Besides, I think I've reached my quota for mass summonings and spell castings meant to power me up, for a while at least))

((still, there may be some previously undiscovered magical use for him. He's been threatened to be skinned alive and turned into a little black dress that let's you levitate. But don't go getting any ideas from that :smalltongue: ))

[Osnagard]

((Of course not, fingerless gloves that let you levitate are much more practical))

((ouch..and you could almost survive having them made too. But what good would he be without his hands?))

[Osnagard]

((hmm, that brings up the question of what good does anyone with a disabilty posses. He'd still be around to think. Never underestimate mental input. Other than taht doesn't really matter.. 'twas a joke :D ))

The door swings open, seemingly on its own. A while later, Raril steps out of the back room he had gone into earlier. He looks around for any guild membrs, muttering to himself. "Now how am I going to pull this one off? Dang it I hate working against mages."

[Vhaidara]

As Raril steps out, Artemis apears next to him.
Nice try Raril. Did you actually think it would be that easy? You might want a better disguise next time. I saw straight through it.

(He's talking about getting the amulet, though Raril might not get that.)

[Artemis97]

Raril bows, accepting that Artemis had seen through the disguise. "You have sharp eyes then, my friend. Fortunately, the wizard did not. I doubt he would have let me leave if he had seen what I truly was. And, no, I really didn't think it would be that easy, but I prefer to at least try diplomacy when I can."

[Nightwing]

*Venom Walks in with Robert tided up behind him him spider webs. He is pulling Robert by a string of web*

Can I have his job? asks Venom. I'm bit more efficient.

"AAH!!" Raril jumps behind Artemis. "It's talking now?"

Raril begs Artemis "Make it stop and get it away from me!" The frightened Drow is twitching slightly.

Venom, if your going to eat Robert, please don't do it in the guild. I can't have people getting killed by giant spiders in the guild. That would kill any chances of getting more members.

[Nightwing]

I just got Roberts job! i just Roberts job. I'm not going to eat him! *It jumps at The drow. Not threataningly...just excitedly.*

[Artemis97]

Raril's shocked "You're going to let it eat him? Sure he's a terrible assassin, but no one deserves that fate!"

((Right, scratch that))

Raril shrieks like a girl and runs from the spider. "Ahh! I can already feel it's fangs in my neck. Make it stop, make it stop!"

[Vhaidara]

I said if. Venom already caught him, and that's usually what spiders do to things they catch in their webs.

[Nightwing]

I said I was not going to eat him! he cuts the web with one of his razer sharp legs and rams Robert out the door.

[Vhaidara]

And I said if. Might I ask what your going to do with him?

[Nightwing]

Well id dont know. He will probably go drink down his troubles now that I let him free.

[Vhaidara]

Keep an eye on him. We don't want him talking to the wrong people.

[Nightwing]

Got it boss. I will tell my agents.

[Vhaidara]

I'd rather you go for know. You're making Raril nervous, and I need to speak with him.

[Artemis97]

Raril cowers in the corner until the spider leaves, muttering in Drow and apologizing for past mistakes.

[Nightwing]

*He leaves*

[Artemis97]

Raril looks up as his bad memories fade. His voice is still shakey. "Is it gone? Am I safe now?"

[Vhaidara]

It's gone. You'll have to get over this. You'll be seeing a lot of spiders if you ever have to use our sewer connections for a quick escape.

[Nightwing]

*A black widow spider jumps onto the drows shoulder. From out side venom snickers*

[Artemis97]

Raril stands up and regains his composure. "I doubt I'll be getting over decades of torment anytime soon, but until then I'll do my best to avoid the sewers."

[Vhaidara]

Artemis pops out of the building, hits Venom in the head-area with a kukri, and pops back in.

[Artemis97]

Raril's too curious to see Artemis pop out and back into the building to notice the spider.

I'm glad that your were smart enugh not to expect diplomacy to work, but now he'll be on his guard against theives, making your job harder.

(And actually, he poped out, then in. The way you said it, he's still outside.)

Raril nods. "That's true, but hopefully, if I act quickly enough, I can catch him before he's entirely prepared. I was about to head back there, to do a little recon and maybe even grab the thing. Want to come along? I hate dealing with mages, especially powerful ones, which I suspect Roderick is."

Iwas about to offer. Throats aren't the only thing I cut. I do purses and amulet strings every now and then.

He grins "Wonderful! And for that I'll give the guild 20% instead of the usual 10."

"Back at the Slanty Shanty, I'll need to find out Roderick's room number and grab the keys. It should make our work a little easier. We'll have to be watchful for magic wards too. They can be extremely nasty if you trigger one." with that the Drow walks back out into the streets and heads for the Slanty Shanty.
