Class Features
All of the following are class features of the Mage.
Weapon and Armor Proficiencies: Mage's are not proficient with any type of armor or shield. They are proficient with all simple weapons, and one martial weapon of their choice.
Spellcasting: A Mage casts from the wizard spell list, casting a number of specific spells at will. Their spell progression is as a wizard's. A Mage may spontaneously cast from two chosen schools, decided on at first level and unchangeable thereafter. A Mage's Spellcasting is dependent on wisdom for maximum spell level, charisma for their one of their school's for bonus spells and save DCs, and intelligence for their other school's bonus spell's and save DCs.
Bonus feats: A Mage may select a single bonus item creation, or metamagic feat at first level, third level, and every three levels after.
