I can use google, I do use goigle, but Google is a compiler not a subjective participant or observer.

So I am looking for websites, particularly forums, that deal with the fundamentals of TRPG creation. Ones that you, or your more system tweaking friends, visit, read, and participate in.

Which blogs, websites, organizations do you find useful in getting a grip on how to create combat, magic, and economic systems? Forums discussing not just world building, but the laws underlying the exploration of those world's by players and GMs alike.

Thank you.

Posting to watch. Honestly, I wish I knew some really good sites for that. I'm sure they are out there but I cannot really say I have any big good examples.

Cool. Maybe we can just poke it with a stick long enough something will either cause us to have to roll initiative or a saving throw.

I don't participate in any of the following, just browse them when I'm feeling bored and/or curious. I imagine you might have seen some already, but I'll list them just in case.

Fairly active and helpful subreddit: www.reddit.com/r/rpgdesign (https://www.reddit.com/r/rpgdesign)

Another, but seemingly more boardgame-focused (I don't read it much): www.reddit.com/r/tabletopgamedesign (https://www.reddit.com/r/tabletopgamedesign/)

Active and helpful forums: forum.rpg.net/forumdisplay.php?11-Tabletop-Roleplaying-Game-Design (http://forum.rpg.net/forumdisplay.php?11-Tabletop-Roleplaying-Game-Design)

Less active, but the forum devoted to publishing is something I haven't seen elsewhere: www.indie-rpgs.com/forge/index.php (http://www.indie-rpgs.com/forge/index.php)

Very cool, thanks so much. It's nice to have that added info of your personal observations of those boards.

You mentioned perusing while bored. I admit I do not fancy myself an rpg designer. But I think coming to grips with the process and language of those who do could be really helpful for basic homebrew.

Diploma check must've worked as I didn't even have to save versus Paralysis, Poison, or Wand/Staff.
