Talky-man's girlfriend's name is Celia, which is a foreshadowing he will win by collapsing Celia-ing. IT ALL FITS!

Talky man will need to destroy more than a few pillars though this time. It's a brand spanking new building wrested from solid rock by a whole order of magical rock moving specialists. Good luck.

Also, it's kind of boring if you use the exact same surprising revelation twice in a row...

Interesting - and possibly with help

After all, it was Durkula that stated that Hel would not be responsible if Wrecan was injured because he chose to stand on a balcony that just happened to collapse...

So (for example) how could Wrecan (or any of the high priests, or anyone else - for that matter) be responsible if Durkula was injured (or simply pushed into Roy - ending his antilife shell) because he chose to stand under a balcony that "just happened to collapse"...

And when Roy first met her, she collapsed a ceiling, and her actions led to Thog ultimately breaking out of prison, the same Thog who Roy ultimately collapsed a building on to defeat! What if the reverse was also true? Wrecan or ANY other cleric is not responsible for a large piece of masonry falling on Durkula in his bubble due to the damaged infrastructure? So if Wrecan were to walk across the damaged balcony...*shrug* just a thought.

a collapsing balcony won't do much damage to durkula due to damage reduction, but it could move him in a way that will force his antilife shell against someone living, making the shell collapse. wrecan could stand in front of durkon while roy chop down a pillar, claiming that his church cannot be held responsible if durkula collapsed his antilife shell by moving towards him.

Exactly, HPoH already did the start of the damage. Roy will just use his expert knowledge to help it along.

I'm no longer knowledgeable about D&D mechanics, and I'm not sure what the DR comes from here. However, I suspect the falling material will cause HPoH to dodge and thus leave the AL shell.

The shell is centered on him, so if he dodges, it dodges with him

antilife shell moves with the caster, and living things cannot enter, but if the caster moves towards a living thing, the spell is dissolved. as long as durkon stand still, roy cannot reach him, but if he were to take a step forward, the spell would dissipate. so pushing him towards someone else is a valid method to nullify the shell.

I wonder what at what size insects and small animals are considered for the purpose of dissippating the spell. I'm pretty sure it block a swarm of insects summoned by someone else, but it won't collapse because when you moved you tried to push your shell against a flea on the floor. it works when you play the battle with miniatures, but as soon as you think of the implication, it doesn't hold much water.

Alternatively, we know Roy has the strength of a giant now. He could knock Durkon out of the field with a thrown lump of masonry, just as Xykon did to V.

I honestly don't know WHAT to expect, so literally anything that happens in the next strip will be something unexpected happening.

You can't knock someone out of an antilife shell. It's centered on Durkula, so moving him just moves the shell.

Belkar is alive, so he can't enter the shell.

Collapsing the ceiling? That's sort of a last-hope emergency plan and needs some preparation to carry out.

Against a fast-healing undead who may move around and seek shelter?
While three dozen innocent VIP bystanders (HPs + their bodyguards) are locked in the same room?

Not Roy's style. Even if he considers it, he must find structural weaknesses and architectural flaws in the building, maybe those don't exist in a way for him to exploit them.

Roy is intelligent enough to figure out something else.

I don't mean cave in the entire structure, but instead to bring down a part of it that would force Durkon to move, preferably in a way that exposes him.

Be a hard thing for Roy to do. First of all, Durkula would no doubt be paying attention to him the entire time. Secondly, when he did it with Thog, he couldn't crash it down, he had to (painfully!) trick Thog into doing so - Durkula's now happy to sit pretty where he is, he's not going to be tossing disintegrates or whatever around. Thirdly, looking at the spell description, it isn't at all clear that merely pushing someone back lightly would collapse the spell - certainly not if it's caused by him being pushed around himself, which is hardly "aggressively" forcing it against someone.

Perhaps he'll finish breaking down part of the balcony and then toss it in! I think that Roy's knowledge of architecture will come back in.

The antilife shell vanishes if the caster willingly moves towards a nonliving being and tries to "push" them using the shell.
So, if Belkar drops down from the ceiling, lands on top of the shell, and startles HPoH, and HPoH jumps up in alarm, then the shell will be pushing against Belkar and so will vanish.
Maybe that's what Roy is trying to do standing on top of it.
