Sunset over the great walled city of Baldur's Gate. The breeze off the waters is beginning to chill the air, and most are retreating back to the comfort of indoors as the sky darkens at the end of a long day's work. Close by are the warm and inviting doors of the Elfsong Tavern, only a short walk from the docks and comfortably close to both the Eastern gate and the Watchful Shield, shrine of Helm.
Named for the ghostly voice that used to be heard at night, the Elfsong tavern is busy as usual. A welcoming fireplace is already roaring away and the ale is flowing freely before the majority have even arrived. There is plentiful seating at the moment, and it won't be long before the smell of the cookpot wafts outside to lure more in to part with their daily earnings.
