The year was 2021. In the north, the unusually hot summer was finally giving way to the refreshing cool breeze of autumn. In the south, the bitter bite of winter was giving way to the playful nip of spring. Today was just like any other day really. Everyone went about their business as usual. Businessmen queued outside of coffee shops, briefcases in one hand and warm cup in the other. Traffic screamed and converged in inconvenient places while drivers quarreled with cursing and horn blaring.
With the change in seasons, there came a storm watch over the oceans, where a massive cloud formation was developing over the Pacific. News anchormen have been broadcasting about it for a week, following its progress. It is expected to hit California in a few weeks. Wars that had developed in previous years, particularly in the Middle East, have somewhat been resolved. The political climate of the world will somewhat reflect ours, but for the purposes of avoiding conflict, consider all politicians and important figures replaced with unrelated NPCs. To that effect, you may roll knowledge(nobility) checks to determine how up to date on world politics you are. Knowledge(local) suffices for stuff within your nation, even if you don't keep up with politics on an international level.

(I want each of you to respond with what country and setting you're in and what your job is. I will respond to you individually and walk you through your daily life. Also roll a knowledge check to determine how aware of current events you are, as that will determine what information is available to your character.) (Also, because my character is with Terrick's, I'll handle her when Terrick posts.)

Haruka heard the noise and sighed. Morning, it just had to be morning. All that noise, all that light, it was so annoying to her. She probably had to work and everything. She glanced over at her sister's bed and saw she was already awake. Typical, Yume was such a day girl, sometimes it was hard to believe they were twins. After a short shower to wake up, Haruka wandered to the kitchen to make some breakfast where Yume already was cooking up a storm. Haruka mumbled, "Hello, Yume-chan." before slumping into a chair on the table. Last night had been quite a trip with the voice getting stronger. She wasn't sure how to explain it but she was happy at least that Yume heard it as well so she knew she wasn't crazy.

((Sasha is most likely in the USA, doing a WWE tour as a pro-wrestler. This means that she'll either be preparing for a live show, preparing for a taped show, preparing for a local show (All at whatever arena they're performing at), training at a gym, or traveling (I believe pro-wrestlers tend to travel in small groups).

"Good morning Haruka. I made you breakfast- eggs sunny side up." Yume gave her sister a sly look as she set the plate of eggs, bacon, and toast in front of her. She then makes her own plate and sets the dishes in the sink before taking a seat across from her twin. As she lays a napkin in her lap and plucks a strip of bacon to eat, she continues in a more serious tone. "Are you still hearing voices?"

Sasha-
You're currently waking up in an RV that you and 3 other wrestlers(A, B, and C) rented to take to your next match.
A is a short but tough looking woman who is currently driving while announcing over an RV-wide intercom: "We're about an hour away, wake your lazy asses up and eat breakfast. B, you're up to drive next- don't you DARE leave me with an empty stomach, you better leave some for me! "

B is currently pouring himself a bowl of Wheaties with obvious amusement. "Oh, A, you old nut, there's still a half a box here!" He sets it back on the counter without bothering to close the box before drowning his cereal in milk, giving it a stir for good measure, and cramming it in his mouth at high speeds.

C, on the other hand, is conked out on the couch with a cheap eye-cover over his eyes to block out the light. "..you're wakin' me an' we ain't even there yet? arrrhh.. let me sleep.." he says groggily, as he turns over on the couch. Unfortunately, with his eyes covered, he rolls right off it onto the aisle way in front of the bedroom in which Sasha was staying. 'OOF!'

B: "1..2...3.. and he's out!'
C: "oh shuddup.." C stands up and sits at the table beside B, swaying sleepily in his chair.

---
Sasha, you have been traveling so much that you don't know who the governor of your state is. The only thing you know is that Thomas Gavel of the newly founded Justice Party is the current President of the United States. It was a controversial and narrow win for him, and you know the WWE hosted a very successful parody wrestling match between him and the incumbent Harold Strauss shortly after the results were announced. It is perhaps the only reason you know he won, really.

Haruka: You have been so disinterested in politics that you know only that Iroh Kazaka is the Prime Minister of Japan and the Emperor is Tsuniro Sutari. You know this because their faces are plastered all over all kinds of annoying service announcements.

Yume: You have been so busy with work that you've not been able to watch the news, however, you know that the governor for the Tokyo prefecture is Yuko Vari as he is a patient of yours.

Sasha quietly emerges from her room after hearing the ruckus C's ludicrously muscular body made when it slammed into the aisle. She gives a small nod and a smile to her fellow performers as she makes her way to the kitchen, turning down the volume of her shounen soundtrack-spewing earphones as she takes a seat.

"Do we have a script for the next Raw yet?" She asks, as soon as there's a break in their rowdy behavior.

B: Yeah, It's taped to the fridge. Also, for publicity, we're apparently going to some rich kid's birthday party 2 days after to give a demonstration and throw 10 year olds around a little in a bouncy-house wrestling ring. That gig pays well, though- and there'll be cake.

C: ... Eh.. I read the script last night. A's fighting you, Sasha, over some new guy you're both supposed to want to date.

A: ....New guy? Who is the new guy?

B: "Prince Fyari"- some ex-carnival performer fire breather. They want to add his 'talents' for special effects somehow, but he's getting kidnapped by C and I.

C: You can read if you like, Sasha. It's like a reverse-damsel kinda gig. I think they were high when they wrote it, honestly.

"I'll have to see what they've written first." Sasha replies quietly, as she walks over to the fridge, retrieves the script, and quickly reads through it while they wait for her opinion. Once she's finished, she shakes her head and pushes the script to the middle of the table. "Honestly? It doesn't seem like they've thought the whole thing through. Blackhat's never done a love angle before, and if they want people to like him, getting him kidnapped on his debut won't help at all." She shakes her head. "If we can find the guy and convince him it's bad, we should be able to go to the writers together and get it changed into something a little more, um...good. Y'know, like The Shield used to do?"

Fii
2015-11-28, 05:11 PM
A: Hn. You're right.. what if we submit our own script? That's gotta be easier on the writers, especially if they're uh.. not sober.

B: ... Oh man, I miss those guys.. They were unstoppable! ...You know, we could do that.. Sasha, we could do that! Can any of you write? I mean...well?

C: ..*makes it a point to flex to the point of ripping through his tshirt* ... Not cut out for writing.

A: ... Not really. I'm not that good with words.

"Uuugh, Will someone kill tha' bloody machine!?" Liam moaned as he was pulled out of his alcohol induced slumber. Reaching out blindly, he quickly closed a hand around the offending object, and threw it against a wall. It shattered completely, the latest in a long line of victims of the drunk's vitriolic hatred of noisy electronics. With a groan he sat up, unwillingly opening his eyes slightly. Rrrrhn, What day is it...? I started drinking saturday, so...
SLowly getting to his feet, he lumbered over to the bedrog window, and cracked the curtains slightly, so he could se the neighbours yard. "Huh, Anderson's ugly hag of a wife is sun bathing, so it's not sunday... Which means it's monday, past noon..." He muttered. He then pulled out his phone. Nine missed calls, and a reminder from Ed, one of his few old pals that was still willing to talk, that reminded him how important It was to hold on to that last fighting student that still showed up for instructions. Every monday. At 14.30.
Liam glanced at the clock. It showed 14.26.

Liam- You hear the sound of rain drops beginning to cascade from the sky. First, they fall i intermittent sprinkles, but then they fall in long sheets, splashing on your window sill. You catch sight of a bolt of lightning off in the distance. At least 30 seconds pass before you hear the roar of thunder. Everything moves slower in the rain, and traffic's a pain in Brooklyn...

Joao- The usual places don't have anything for you really. You check the less usual places, though, and find there's an ad posted. "Hi, I'm looking for someone to help me.. I found an old book in my attic, it belonged to my grandfather.. but it's in some other language.. I don't know what. I'll pay you 1,000 Real to translate it for me." Included is a picture of the first page, which catches your eye. It looks old an antique, and further, it's not in one language, it's in a mix of three. Regarding politics, you know only that the mayor is Luiz Ferro, a middle aged man with a receding hairline and a thin mustache.

Haruka wrinkled her nose a bit at breakfast but it was nice of sis to make it. She walked to the fridge took out a container of orange juice and without using a glass started to drink. "So sister of mine, do you have any fun patients today?" She knew her sister couldn't talk much about them but she liked to probe anyways. Haruka was debating if she even wanted to go to the pharmacy today but some of her supplies were running low so she probably should do a resupply.

Yume let out a quiet sigh. "You know I can't tell you about my patients.. but as a matter of fact I do have someone interesting coming in today. Well, tonight- we're doing a sleep study. I won't be home until about 4 am, but I do have tomorrow off... Which is just as well, I have to take the car to be inspected in the afternoon, as it's up at the end of the month. Want to come with me? We can go by that new frozen yogurt shop that just opened." Yume bites into her toast with a satisfying crunch. After she swallows, she rolls her eyes. "How many times do I have to tell you NOT to drink out of the carton? We have a whole shelf of clean glasses, use one!"

(Lee is set in Las Vegas, Nevada in the United States. He teaches science to highschool students. Mostly life sciences but earth science, physics, and chemistry have all popped up before. Class sizes range from 35 to 50, but supposedly are capped at 32 students. The knowledge rolls were made in the ooc. 15 Nobility, and 14 local. He doesn't really watch the news but the kids keep him informed.)

Lee wakes up and looks at the clock. The time is 5:14, the alarm starts at 5:16. His wife Julia is in bed next to him. The heater kicks on. It isn't really cold just 68 Fahrenheit (20C) in the house. All the same it was 40 outside and the heater didn't really make him want to get up. He looked over at Julia and admired her swollen belly. This would be the second child. The first was finally starting school and had to be there by 9am. He turned and looked at the alarm 5:15. He glared at it, wondering why he still worked when his wife's new style of art was so popular. She was making more in the last two years then he had in the previous eight. He reached over to the clock and flipped it off.

The answer was obvious, despite leaving such a comfortable and inviting bed, Lee loved his job. He sat up swinging his legs out of the bed. The chill in the room was fading fast under the power of the heater. He slid down his underwear and then with a flourish kicked the pair off the floor and caught it with his hand and tossed it into the hamper. He moved over to the shower and turned on the warm water. The heater clicked off, he smiled. Today he had defeated the heater and made it into the warm water before it could shut off. He stepped into the warm currents and said to himself "I am a good teacher, and I love my job."

Before long he was dressed in a button down shirt and slacks. He owned ties but seldom wore them. He stepped into his old reliable car and headed off to work. The radio was off. He smiled to himself, I am going to be a father for another child.

Looking out at the sudden rainfall, Liam relaxed a bit. "Huh, well it looks like I've got some time after all. That weather is gonna slow the kid down in getting here. Guess I'll warm up a bit and make sure the gear is ready before he get's here."
Before leaving the window Liam chuckled as he saw the neighbour hag fleeing inside from the rain. Taking a sip from a half film whiskey bottle to get rid of the worst of the hangover, Liam put sweatpants and a loose t-shirt on and went down into his cellar, repurposed into a training room. After assessing that all the gear and weights were in good enough shape, he put on a pair of training gloves and stretched to limber up. He then started hopping lightly around his sandbag, punching it in differing rythms to warm up. As he got warmer and started sweating he upped the speed, until he was pounding furiously at the bag, sweat pouring of him in cascades.

Joao- You have no idea what those other languages are. You're not even sure what language family they are from. They could be a code, or even some ancient script- you would not know the difference. Hannah looks at you with hopeful, optimistic eyes.

Lee- You know that the President of the US is Thomas Gavel of the newly founded Justice Party. You know that it was an unexpected win for him, but most of what he's done so far as try to fix the justice system. He's decriminalized marijuana and a few other controversial things, opting to tax it heavily instead. You know this because he's a sensation among young people and the kids in your classes, your primary news source, only tell you what interests them. Locally, you know both the mayor of Las Vegas is the disliked Justin Bates and the Governor of Nevada is the incredibly young and attractive hispanic businesswoman, Estella Espinoza, whom your students say is hot. Your students are particularly restless on this day. Their minds wander elsewhere as you lecture to them. A girl in the back stares out of the window, watching a bird perched on the fence protectively enclosing the school grounds. The bird begins to steadily draw more and more of the class' attention as the bird flies closer and lands on the window sill just outside of class. One of the students goes to open the window hoping to let it in....

Liam- It isn't long before the doorbell's cheerful chime echoes through your building. Your student has arrived- and only 3 minutes late! When you open the door, your protege stands drenched at your doorstep. He'd left without an umbrella, and he rode his bicycle, which you see leaned against a pillar and chained with a thick, oversized chain and lock relative to the old and worn out bike it is charged with protecting. He grins at you. "Gunna let me in? Or uh..lend me a towel? Sorry about this man, I was halfway here when it started pouring..."

I have bad news for you Justin. Lee interrupts his lecture. This school was built to conserve energy, one of the methods they used was windows that don't open. That way no student could "accidentally" let out all the hot or cold air.

He turns back to his slides on the smart board. One of the big things I want you to get out of macromolecules is that all life is made out of these four types of things. Every person in this room and every bird outside. Those feathers shine because of lipids. However it doesn't stop there, every plant and every form of life down to any single celled organism is made out of the same for macromolecules. Some one remind me what the four are before we continue.

"I wouldn't say I'm good at all that book learning, but...I read comic books, and my laptop has spell-checking." Sasha replies to her gaggle of grapplers, awkwardly shifting her hands in her lap. "I could give it a shot." She rubs a hand against her freckled forehead and glances at the script again. "We can put him in a Sesame Street Playtime segment, maybe a few, until the Heyman Harpers are done with their feud. Shouldn't be long. Then they start harassing your Playtime, fight a few of them, beat most of them down, until he pulls out his dragonbreath - or whatever they'll call it - and manages to escape while they're on fire. You feud with them, while he's in segments with Bray, who should have healed up by then..."

Lee- The bird appears to be a hawk of some sort- and it has leather fetters around a leg. It belongs to someone. Your students are disappointed and turn their attention back to you. The kids exchange glances, hoping someone know the four. Someone says "..uh... carbon..?" Someone else answers "no stupid.. lipids have to be one..and uh.. " he fumbles.. then guesses "amino acids, RNA, and DNA?" Most of the class pretends desperately that they aren't there in the hopes that this will extend to your not seeing them.

B turns music on, quietly, and insists it helps his driving. C, goes back to the couch and relinquishes a small segment for A. They're all feeling good about this plan, and all thinking the same thing. ~Maybe this will get us that publicity we've been hoping for.. ~ They all seem in good spirits, thanks to you.

She focuses on making sure that Prince Fyari and the Sesame Street Players get a lot of the spotlight in the feud - even if they lose it, as long as it's a good one, they'll get publicity out of it.

Sasha- you realize what you have there is gold. Your script is well written and looks very professional. You're sure that with just a few tweaks from an editor, it couldn't be much better. It's amazing how the inspiration just flows through you and into your keyboard keys. You even feel exhilarated by it, because it is the best thing you have ever written. Reading it over a few times, you realize it's probably the best script your entire organization has seen in recent years.

Haruka- There's a strange smell on the train today. Looking around, you notice why. There's an unbathed, unshaven man on the train beside a shaggy, unkempt mutt. Everyone is giving him a wide berth, and some passengers hold their noses. He looks sullen, but he gets off at the first stop after yours. The dog trails after him. After the doors close, a lady pulls febreeze out of her purse, asks if anyone is allergic, and sprays vigorously. As the passengers cough at the air freshener's potency, one man opens the train window between cars to help the smells dissipate.
Halfway to the pharmacy, the train stops midtunnel and a man's voice comes over the intercom. "I'm sorry, we're having an unexpected delay ahead- someone has jumped in front of the train ahead of us. We estimate the delay will take 30-40 minutes, we are sorry for the inconvenience."
It's the 3rd train-related suicide this month. Most of the passengers react with disappointment and irritation- they're late for work. Some of them react with disbelief and sorrow- how could someone do that? Some don't react at all- it happens too frequently, and they are completely resigned to it.

Wonderful Haruka though, what a great way to start the day. She fiddled with her purse a bit, knowing that doing nothing was an invitation for temptation or worse. She tried to keep her mind on other things and then trying to call her sister so she wouldn't be alone with her thoughts which was always a dark, scary place.

After a long day spent typing the best thing she's created outside of a ring, Sasha lets out a long sigh and feels her stomach grumble in complaint. Rubbing her eyes, she realizes that she's really skipped out on actually eating the rest of the day's meals. She makes a few copies of the script, emails a version of it to herself, and then starts to slowly copy it out to paper while chewing on a protein bar. Once she's finished, she tucks it into her bag and moves out into the main room of the RV.

"Is everyone awake?" She asks softly, as she creeps out of her room.

Liam looked the boy up and down before giving a shrug
"Whatever kid. Not like yer gonna track any filth in that ain't in the house already. Just throw yer shoes here and the clothes in the drier. Then it'll be dry for when you go home. I'll find a pair of spare training pants you can wear." He said, not sparing the boy a second glance as he went inside and found his spare sweatpants. He took them into the training room, laid them on a bench and waited for the kid to get the drier running and report for duty.

When the boy got there and had put the pants on, Liam went directly to training. he hated wasting time on unecessary talk.
"Ok kid, get warmed and limbered up, and we'll get right to it. And be warned, I have a killer hangover today, so don't expect my usual niceness." He said, knowing full well that his usual training regimen was anything but nice. As soon as the kid was warmed up, Liam put him on a hellish training course, alternating between training technique on the sand bag, running and jump rope for cardio, and various excercises for developing his muscles. In between every excercise He would be pulled into the ring for 5-minute sparring matches, which mainly consisted of Liam pummeling him with no room for retaliation. This training had a twofold purpose that the kid hadn't been told about.
one, to get him used to being hit. A lot.
two, to see how much the kid was willing to take before he got mad and gave something back, either physically or verbally.
Liam knew that a fighters worth actually came from how he handled taking punches, not giving them.

Very good, Lee walks over to the window to admire the hawk. Amino acids, are not one of them but amino acids make proteins which are. As for DNA and RNA we call both of them Nucleic acids, which will be the last item we talk about today. So the only one we are missing is Carbohydrate. How many of you have heard about counting carbs?

Lee turns around and faces the class. He has always had a slight interest in falconry. If we look at this slide we see that carbohydrates or carbs are actually sugar.

Haruka- Yume answers, but there's a lot of static as you're lucky to even have service. "Hello? __up? .... Haruka _ can't hear _, _ static.." The noise grates on your nerves, it reverberates within your skull. It's a painful sound, and you can barely make out what words do come through because of it.

Sasha- B is still driving. "Almost there Sasha! We hit an unexpected detour, someone wrecked a semi... anyway, what'd ya come up with?" He asks. A and C are sitting across from each other playing Texas Hold 'Em. They quickly abandon their game and make you the center of attention. "Yea, Sasha! whatcha come up with?" Asks a mildly excited C. A just clears the cards off the table to make space for you.

Joao- You're not sure how to google some of the letters, as you aren't sure how to type them. You search through various keyboards from around the world, seeking them out. (Roll a Linguistics check and a luck check (straight d20 roll)).

Liam- the kid is grateful, as you see in his expression. He scurries off, changes, throws his soaked stuff in the dryer and turns it on. As it roars in the background, he hastens to the basement. Fortunately, your spare set of pants fit him. He stretches with enthusiasm and is eager to begin until you leave him no openings and pummel the crap out of him. His enthusiasm slowly simmers down, fading into raw determination. He may not have been blessed with the ideal build for this kind of torture, but he isn't a quitter. It hurts, but he falls back on what he does know- how to throw a punch, and how to not blackout. He's exhausted when you finally give him a break, slowed to the pace of a lethargic tortoise. He practically pants to catch his breath. His face and chest are bleeding in places, and already starting to bruise in others. He slowly stands. "Where's the ice box..?" He still intends to get his own ice, even if it takes him a year to reach it. The kid had seen the Karate Kid movies as a child and loved them, and therefor assumed that any unpleasantness in training would somehow make him much stronger in the end, so he didn't mind the fact that he looked (and felt) like he'd been in a domestic dispute with a grizzly bear.

Lee- The hawk looks at you and seems to wait patiently, not really leaving the area. The only student who reacts to your answers is the one who was somewhat close, but still quite wrong. He mutters his own disappointment. Someone else, without raising her hand, speaks "wait.. carbs? protein? fat..? you mean the stuff we eat? What's a nucleic acid then? ..oh gosh, is that spicy food? like with peppers?" Someone else speaks "no no..that's like citric acid ..it's in fruit, right? More sour than spicy yea?" Everyone has heard of counting carbs. The class' stomachs collectively rumble, as you have made them hungry. One of them pulls out a granola bar and tries to eat it without drawing attention.

Yume- Yume had left right before Haruka, and was still in her car on her way to work, stuck in traffic, when her car received the phone call. She pressed a button and it answered, but all she could hear was static. ~..but shouldn't Haruka still be on the train? either something happened, or maybe I've been buttdialed..~ she thought, listening for any sign of distress. She turned her music off completely to better hear her twin, and did her best to tolerate the headache the static would surely induce.

Sasha places the script on the center of the table that A and C are sitting at. "I'm going to grab something to eat." She informs them, already walking over to the cupboards as her guts twist at the thought of it somehow being terrible without her being aware of it. She's traveled with these people a fair bit since she had to start her feud with the Samoan Sorority, but they're not nearly big enough a group for her to consider them a crowd.

Liam's mouth stretched into a smile, half amused and half cruel. He considered putting the kid through another round of sparring before letting him have a break, but he had to admit that he was impressed.
Huh. The kid's got horrible reflexes, and his physique just ain't meant for this kinda thing... Still, he's got guts. Most people woulda either quit or lost consciousness after half the beatin' he's taken. Guess he might be worth breakin' down and molding into a bruiser after all...

He let the kid stew for a few seconds more before answering. "Sure thing, the freezer's is above the fridge. Grab me a beer while yer out there, and some water for yerself. Oh, and I want you to get it and be back within a minute. We've still got time for a few more excercises and at least two more rounds of sparring. Don't want you to cool of and get stiff, now." Nucleic acids are DNA and RNA. I am sure you have heard of that and know what it does. DNA has only 1 job, it stores genetic information. That makes it rare in a cell, the other 3 we think of in food because they are common. Very good observation.

"Not good, not good" Haruka muttered to herself. She was alone with her thoughts and when she was, that meant the voice would start to talk. Who knew what the voice would say this time. Perhaps that Haruka should also jump in front of a train. Curling up into a ball, Haruka wished she had some extra supply to calm herself. Instead she started to devise formulas in her head though she didn't know why. Some of the ingredients made no sense and why did she keep getting these odd images in her mind?

Sasha- Your companions read the script, and are pleasantly surprised by how good it is. A reads it aloud so that B can hear it, too. C whistles. "This is incredible! We're going to be a hit! We'll be famous! We won't just be side-bits anymore!" Exclaims a very delighted C. "No kidding.. where'd you learn to write like that?" Inquires A. "We're here!" says B with enthusiasm and even pride. "Sasha, today you're our MVP." The three deny you the ability to carry your own stuff as C lugs it for you as A firmly places your script into your hands. "Go find those writers, we'll be right there. We'll unload, you go."

Joao- You don't find the characters on any keyboard, but you do notice an advertisement for a new book that's recently been penned on one of the banner ads while you are perusing the web. The book is entitled "A Codemaker's Guide," by Raymond Cochran. The cover features a letter that also appears on your book. This is no way helps you establish a meaning, but it's the only lead you have. The Portuguese parts are archaic, and translate roughly to "500 years hence, when the blood moon doth rise, the veil shalt be lifted as the Old Dragon dies" the message seems to continue in those other languages, and you are uncertain of how they affect the grammar of your translation thus far. Inside you do see sketches, but none of them depict a dragon. Besides, it seems to be much more like a title than a reference to a creature. What sort of title, you do not know. (You may roll knowledge nobility to see if you know of anything involving an old dragon, you may add 5 to the check to represent an internet search, such as googling it.)

Liam- He dashes off to the kitchen, muscles sore and aching. He comes back with a brew for you and a makeshift ice pack for him- he's still wrapping ice he put in a ziploc bag in a dishrag before holding it to his most badly bruised places to quell the swelling. With the ice pack strapped to his face, he drinks the water- but not too quickly, he doesn't want to cause cramps. He downs the whole bottle with a refreshed 'ahh,' and wipes the excess from his lip with his arm. "What next sir?" He asks. (If the man who named walkie talkies named icepacks, they'd be swell-quellers.)

Lee- Your students give halfhearted smiles, and the hawk interrupts with a screech before flying off. You hear scuffling in the hallway, and two students yelling at each other. Your class rushes to the door to eavesdrop as a fight breaks out between two senior boys as one slams the other into the lockers, leaving a sizable dent. They both sport letter jackets. The one who did the slamming is a varsity basketball player while the other is a member of the soccer (futbol/football, for those of you not from the states) team.

Haruka- You hear the white noise around you, of the other passengers, grow more and more distorted until it has warped into a single, familiar voice. "Haruka.." it calls, patronizingly.. "Haruka.. " It knows you're there, it knows you can hear it.. "Join me...." Your vision begins to change, you see auras- you're developing a migraine, you can feel it... the voice only gets louder and louder. "Join me Haruka.."

Yume- The call drops a few seconds later, as she pulls into her parking space at work. She considers what to do, and is about to just call in a day off to go collect her sister from the next station, but a police officer approaches her car. "Are you Dr. Tsukino?" He asks, rapping gently on the glass of her window. With the engine still running, Yume lowers the window. "Yes.. is there a problem officer?" Yume says with some concern- cops don't usually come talk to her at her car at work.. "I'm afraid ma'am that there's an incident in the building and that you may be in danger." He says. "Please step out of the car and come with me." Yume doesn't immediately comply. "Wait, what kind of danger? If I'm in danger, wouldn't I be safer in my car?" Her voice wavers with a hint of fear. "No ma'am, I'll explain on the way, I need you to come with me." At the officer's insistence, Yume rolls up the window and retrieves the key from the ignition. She collects her purse and exits the vehicle, looking around with great unease and following the cop. It is shortly explained to her that the Hospital has received several threats specifically aimed at its doctors. Dr. Nigel Banks, who worked the night shift, was found unconscious in a laundry hamper about an hour ago. Yume was lead to a room acting as a base of operations for the police who were investigating the threats and told that she- and a gaggle of other doctors- were not leaving until they could find the assailant.

He walked over and picked up a pair of flat gloves, designed for taking punches. "Alright kid, let's see if we can work a little on your god-awful punching technique for a while. Then I think we'll finish up today's session with a 20 minute sparring bout, instead of the usual 5." He continued with a wicked smile, which only grew wider as the kid realised the hell he was about to go through.
"That's what ye get for calling me "sir", boy. See, I may be getting up there, but no one likes bein' reminded of it. Besides, I'm like a good cheese. Liam- The kid's grin fades a bit. "I didn't mean you were old.. my mama says that sirs a sign of respect... aww man..." He puts on the gloves and climbs into the ring thinking that it'd at least be over in 20, maybe even 10.

Haruka- "Are you okay?" The sound pierces through the voices in your head, and when you look up you see a very colorful, distorted image of 3 copies of the same person- a well dressed business woman looming over you in heels with her hair in a neat bun. "Are you okay?" She repeats. You realize slowly that you're on the floor, and everyone in the car is watching you. You also have a migraine, making every sound reverberate in your skull quite painfully.

Sasha- "Hello Casey" calls a voice on the other end. "Mm.. One second and I'll look that up for you." The sound of keyboard clacking is all you hear for several seconds, until the voice responds once more. "Oh yes, they are staying in rooms 211 and 212. Why do you need the writers? Did you lose your script?"

Lee- Your class finds you terrifying when angry and complies readily, parking their keisters in their seats. The two fighters' faces are red with rage, and they keep yelling at each other. A hall monitor comes jogging over and barks "if you two don't want to be expelled, you'll come with me NOW." The boys act like gorillas- puffing up their chests and looking as macho as they possibly can before giving in to their collective desires to not piss their parents off -that- much. They growl obscenities at each other and sulk off to the office with the hall monitor. The hall monitor turns around briefly "sorry they disturbed your class Mr. Lee." So much time was taken up with distractions that the bell rings dismissing the classes.

Liam pushed the boy hard during the next few minutes, squeezing every last ounce of energy out of him. He switched between mocking him and encouraging him, pressing him to try as hard as he could to get through Liam's guard. Of course, even if he'd been full of energy, that would have been a tall order against the seasoned fighter. Nevertheless, everytime the kid relaxed his posture, or lowered his arms even a little, one of Liam's flat gloves would whip out and cuff him on the side of the head.
"Come on, kid, at least try! I've seen lepers with more control of their arms than you! Punch me, dammit! Or maybe you ain't got what it takes after all! Fer christ's sake, I've trained a girl who had more upper body strength than you. And she was 13!" He sneered, goading the boy relentlessly. He knew that people always had a little more to give. You just had to get them riled up.

A few minutes later, with the boy thoroughly burnt out and wheezing for air, Liam took the gloves of, and wiped the few drops of sweat on his brow away with his shirt. "Alright kid, that'll be all fer today. I'd take you through the ringer once more, but I'd send you straight to the hospital if i so much as jabbed at you in yer current condition. I want you to work on yer cardio from now on. Start running every day. Since you don't have a body naturally suited fer fighting, and little to no actual talent, the only way to make you a good fighter is to get you in peak physical condition. You'll need to be faster, stronger and tougher than everyone else."
Liam paused, and glanced over at the boy. Gauging him.
"It's like this kid. You ain't got no talent. You ain't got no above average physical attributes. What you do seem to have in spades, is chutzpa. I like that. it makes it less boring for me if you're not easy to train. But if I'm gonna do that, you gotta commit. So I want you to think about whether or not you actually wanna fight for real, in the ring, or you're just doing it as a... sport." He continued, spitting out the word sport like it tasted foul. "Think it over until next week. But for now, here's three clear rules:
1, If you don't give your all, you're done. Finished.
2, If you whine, you're out. You can complain, but there damn well better be a good reason involved. Or a broken limb.
3, You do what I say, when I say, and how I say. No questions. I know better. Period."

Liam then walked out of the room, gathered the kids clothes, and re-entered. He tossed the clothes at him, and sat down on one of his weight lifting benches. "Anyway, take some time to think about it, and get back to me about it next time. Now get yer clothes on and get the hell out of my house."
He finished, getting up and heading towards the stair to the living room. When he got to the stair he turned his head, looking back.
"Oh, and kid? You better be damn sure about your answer by next week. Because if you decide to commit, I'm gonna put you through my own training regimen. You're gonna feel like you're in hell... Because you will be." He then walked up the stairs, and out of the room

I still see the grocery bills on company dime, you know.."

Lee- To your surprise, the hawk is back. It watches you, peering deep into your soul. It's a few minutes before most students come slinking in. A few of them come early, and they admire the hawk. One of them, a girl from a rich family, asks "Mr. Lee, why is there an eagle on the window sill?" Another, a usually quiet boy, has seated himself at the window nearest the bird, and is watching it with great excitement. "How close to birds are people biologically? Could we ever fly?" He's absolutely fascinated by it.

Liam- The kid is absolutely exhausted as he pours out copious amounts of sweat, which he sops with a towel he bummed off you. He changes clothes, throws yours and the towel in the wash, and thanks you for having him. Every fiber of his being begs him to consider quitting, but he doesn't breathe a word of that, and repeats your rules back to you before leaving. As he bikes away, you hear him exclaim "this is going to be so awesome!" before hearing him cry out in pain- he's too worn out to peddle home. He dismounts, calls a cab, and sits in the rain waiting on it. His now dry clothes are soaked again, but it seems refreshing to him this time around.

Yume- Yume calls Haruka to tell her what's going on, leaving her a voicemail when she has no service. Frustrated, she turns to the officer. "If all of the doctors are here, who are tending patients? Who is treating Nigel? I think having all of the targets in one place is a terrible idea, and I for one-" ... but as her words trail on, the voice calls to her.. the same voice she's been hearing. "Yume.. come to me.. come to me Yume.." ...She stops speaking and just stares blankly for several seconds, her vacant expression being of some concern to the gaggle of doctors present. One of the doctors wastes no time in shining a medical flashlight in her eyes. "..I .. I'm fine, I just .. I'm worried about my sister, I can't get ahold of her..I don't know what I'd do if I lost her.." The doctors are sympathetic. The police officer is overworked and has been yelled at much too much today. He slips away to do his job, communicating over the radio.

"I wouldn't say pigging out..." Sasha replies softly. "Just, um, getting that sugar boost for all the days on the road." She bites her bottom lip. "Anyway, thank you, I'll remind them. ...bye." She ends the call, then sends a text to the Sesame Street Players that reads "Found out. Come meet me; it only works when all of us are there".

Rolling tighter in a ball, "Leave me alone, pain go away....hate this, can't take it.....I need out of here." Haruka lashed out at anyone who tried to touch her. Finally, she uncurled and looked for a way off the train.

"Crazy punk..." Liam muttered, but a small smile betrayed his true opinion. God I hope he decides to carry on with this. it'd be wonderful to have something remotely interesting to pass time with again. Too much freetime ain't good fer me... He thought, some of his good humor disappearing as soon as his mind went down that path. Going back inside, He resolved to beat himself up until he was burnt out, and then drink himself to sleep. The more beat he was, the less risk of the dream coming back.
As he started on his routine of viciously assaulting the sand bag again, Liam became a bit introspective, thinking back on that night that had defined his life. Everything about it was still crystal clear in his mind. The hulking, ape-like form. The disgusting green skin, stretched taut over impossibly large, bulging muscles. The slobbering mouth, with it's diseased, vicious tusks. But most clearly he remembered the eyes. The evil, bloodshot pig-eyes, brimming with violence and unending hatred...
Liam didn't realise that he'd started pushing himself and punching harder and faster until he hit the sand bag with a raw, primal roar, tearing the bag itself and knocking it clean of the rope, sending it skidding across the floor in a spray of sand.

Panting hard, he hungrily took a series of deep gulps of air, trying to get himself under control. A few moments later his breath settled slightly, and he sat down on the floor, his head resting on his arms.
"When?" He whispered hoarsely. "When are you coming for me? I'm as ready as I'll ever be. I fought and fought. There's nothing in my life except the fight. I did it all for you... To face. You!" He continued, his voice rising steadily as he talked.
He got up, anger in his eyes, and looked upwards. "I'm ready for you, Beast! Come get me! When are you coming? Wheeeen?!" He roared at the top of his lungs.
Of course, only silence and the slight echo of his own words answered him. His shoulders sank, and with a weary sigh he walked out of the training room. In the kitchen he got a six-pack of beer and a bottle of whisky, which he took with him into the living room. collapsing onto the couch, he resolved to drink himself into a deep, dreamless sleep. He had nothing to do until the kid returned next week anyway.
"Heh. A typical monday, indeed..." He muttered with a bitter smile, and put the first can to his lips.

Mr. Lee watches the hawk a moment longer before moving on. Well hawks are birds, and bird came from dinosaurs, which came from reptiles. We are mammals, which came from reptiles. So if we go back far enough we can find a common ancestor. As for flying, it won't happen to us personally. I would suggest getting a pilots license or going sky diving.

Mr. Lee walks back to the front of the class. Okay guys the bell has rung, what should you be doing. The answer of coarse being the warm up.

Sasha- the troupe quickly assembles with expressions of concern and hope. It is in this moment that you realize they now see you as a leader, not just a comrade. Your script, and what you say, will change their destiny. For a brief moment, you feel what they feel.. you see their anxiousness, their hopes, and how assembling before you offers comfort to quell their nerves. You see their emotions upon their persons in a swirl of colors.
When the bellhop passes your group, you see his emotions as well- you see how frustrated he feels, and how much his heart fills with hate when he looks at the receptionist. The receptionist, in turn, is brimming with loathing hidden behind a placid smile. It's like the ability won't shut off, and though it has happened before, it has never happened like this. Lastly, you exude a sense of confidence that you've never felt before. You know that your words will carry more weight than they normally would, even if you don't know how or why. You can do this- those writers will listen to you. They will use your script. You are going to move your career and those of your friends down a successful path. You feel great, for the moment at least. (your empathy and enhanced diplomacy are both active.)

Haruka- The voice of the conductor overlaps with the voice in your head for a brief period, announcing that the train will continue to the next station. As the train begins to move again, the people are slightly jarred and you feel your whole body quivering uncontrollably. You don't fully know how you got to the station, or how you got off the train.. but the next thing you're consciously aware of is the police officer who is escorting you out of the building and talking about how it's okay to be claustrophobic. He yammers on and on, droning about how he has a nephew who is claustrophobic and it's alright to have a panic attack. You're not being arrested, he just wants to make sure you're okay. He takes you to a coffee shop and buys you tea. He sits outside with you, in the open, and pushes the cup into your hands with a smile. "Drink, you'll feel better. It's peppermint- always makes my nephew feel better." He's a nice cop.. and the voice does recede. You start to recover. Your phone alerts you that you have a new voicemail.

Liam- you drink yourself into a stupor, eventually falling asleep. Your dreams start out with you training in the ring.. the kid joins you.. but his head is covered. You punch him in his stupid face for covering it with a hood. You get mad and pull the hood off.. it's..it's not the kid. The beast glares back at you. You prepare to fight- but you jolt awake suddenly. There are kids playing loudly outside.. and one of them just smashed one of your windows with a baseball. You hear them cursing. "Oh ****, run!"

Yume- Soon, a young FBI agent comes in flashing a badge and takes charge of the situation. "I'm Agent Carter, my partner is outside, she is Agent Quinn. The problem has been dealt with. You're all free to return to work. It seems that a former patient was unhappy about being resuscitated after an attempted suicide and took it upon themselves to make all of the people responsible suffer as they did. They have been aprehended, and the unconscious doctor, while in a coma, is expected to awaken within the week. It is safe now, you're welcome." As the doctors all file out and return to work, Yume debates going to look for her sister, but she gets pulled into a consultation. Dr. Wu (the name of my doctor from the UK- good doctor!) gestures towards a patient staring between them and hands her a patient file. "Dr. Yume, this is Charles Dennington. This is the 5th time I've seen him. He can only sleep in 30 minute bursts, and I've ruled out all of the most likely causes. You're an expert on sleep. He did a sleep study at St. Hope's Hospital, the results are in the file. What do you think?" Yume took a moment to read it over. He was certainly an interesting case.. "Dr. Wu, I think we should book him for our own sleep study. This one was performed by technicians, and it's possible they made a mistake. I would need to do it personally to be sure of their results. I can schedule him for tomorrow night, as Frank canceled his appointment. In the meantime give him meds to help him sleep."

Joao- Hannah thanks you. You have a nice rest of the day, until night falls. When you try to sleep, you can't get the book out of your head. It really should have been in Old English- so why wasn't it? and it said 500 years.. it's been 499. What does it mean? Is it just silliness- or did someone know something you don't? Is there a secret organization out there? Why use multiple languages? There are so many questions, and you can't get them out of your head.

Lee- The class grumbles a bit, some people already started to do the warmup- Jenny and Craig, specifically- while others lag a bit behind. Vince bums a pencil off his friend and finally starts on it, but he looks lost on what the answers might be. By the time the allotted warm up time is over, about a quarter of the class hasn't finished. While they're working on it, you notice the hawk now has a canister attached to his fetters.. a thing he didn't have before. You know that those canisters used to be worn by carrier pigeons and contain messages. The hawk pecks the glass- it seems incredibly intelligent. Since the last class already dismissed, the recipient must be you, but why would someone send you a message by carrier hawk? Why not take it to the front desk? It doesn't make sense.. and the hawk is a bit of a distraction.

(Sorry guys, would have posted yesterday but the site was down for most of it on my end)

Butterflies scatter in Sasha's stomach as soon as she passes through the doors of the hotel. Her first concern is the script tucked into her bag, a tool that could help her traveling companions and the career of a guy she hasn't even met, and the weight of all their hopes are resting on her slight shoulders. She's barely even written anything before, and now she's got to waltz up to professional (In salary, if not in quality) writers and offer them an entire story. Second is the fans, the kind who lurk around at hotels and airports at two in the morning for signatures and pictures; she'd learned how to dodge them and how to deal with them, but it's a vulnerability she doesn't need. At least there don't seem to be any at this hotel; whoever booked the rooms must have done it discreetly this time.

Then a new sensation washes over her. Hope from her companions, their uneasily-beating hearts, the people basking in luxury just a few floors above, the hate from the receptionist...it sweeps her up like a vortex of fire and ice. It's new and it's strange, but similar to something she's felt before. Like when she's on the stage as Blackhat, and the pulse of the crowd beats in time with her own. The cheers as they hit a high spot, the jeers at the heel as they slam her face into a chair, the hope when a leg is hooked and the despair when their hero is beaten and bloody on the apron. She's not in costume, there isn't a crowd, and she's standing in a sanitized hotel reception...but right now, she's Sasha Starr.

A smirk tugs at the corner of her lips as she strides over to the receptionist. She leans against the desk and shoots a theatrical dagger in the back of the bellboy, making sure the young woman sees her glare. "Urgh." She comments softly, then turns her head to the receptionist and smiles. "Sasha Starr." She won't waste her time; nobody wants to be waiting on people this late at night, and a name is all she needs to get her room key.

Growling with frustration and anger, Liam lept out of bed, pulling on his pants and running to the window. He swore viciously as he stepped on a piece of glass, but continued to the window nonetheless. He just managed to see the kids round a corner, and as luck would have it, he recognized one of the little cretins. The italian kid from down the road... Marco. Yeah, Marco, that's his name.
Taking a deep breath, Liam walked to his front door, and stepped out on the porch. He then roared at the top of his lungs.
"Marco, ye little pissant. I saw ye and yer friends. I know where ye live, and I know yer basterd friends' faces. Now, ye woke me up, and broke me window! I am very annoyed right now!" He yelled, his irish accent becoming much more pronounced when he was worked up"Now, Imma give ye a choice. Come back right now, and we'll talk this out, and ye'll make up fer the window. Or ye can keep runnin', and I'll come find ye on me own tomorrow. I'll be havin' words with yer old man then. An' yer lives will be much, much worse'n iffen ye'd just come to me immediately."
Taking another deep breath, he stepped back to his door, pointedly ignoring his throbbing foot, and any neighbours who might've come out to see what the noise was about.
"Ye have foive minutes, ye little fekkin' ****e! Iffen I have tae look for ye, I will be mighty pissed. An' ye all won' like tha'!" He finished, then walked inside, slamming the door behind him.
Sitting down on the sofa, he tore a random t-shirt apart, poured some very, strong unnamed booze on his bleeding foot, and bound the wound crudely with the linen strips from his shirt. Then he waited for the boys, come for their reckoning.

Mr. Lee Smith looks at the hawk in disbelief. In his tenure as a teacher he has encountered every possible class disruption... except for this one. A persistent hawk trying to deliver a message is more the stuff of Harry Potter then reality. He walks over to the window. He looks at the hawk and says to it If you would like to deliver a message please use the front door. He points to the main entrance of the classroom. Being on the second floor but in the science wing, Mr. Lee was one of two teachers that had an outside opening door. It always made him nervous in a hard lock down because he only had one line of security. In this case however it gave the hawk a real opportunity to deliver the message.

Today kids we will be learning about macro molecules. He opened the slide show and began his lesson.

Sasha- The receptionist looks up, flashes a practiced smile, and types your name into the computer. Seconds later, she hands you your key, and hands the group theirs as well. She says "Have a nice stay!" and though the words are said with some charisma, she's already returned her attention- and her thoughts- to her own matters. You check into your own rooms and find them to be in a suitable condition- they're spacious enough, they don't smell or anything, and the view is decent. There's a TV in each room, and a nice menu for room service. There's even a mint on each pillow.

Liam- Although most of kids keep running, the least gutsy of them (and probably not the one who threw the ball) ambles back and nervously rings your doorbell. He looks pale as a sheet when you look at him. "...s..sorry sir.. " It's Marco's younger brother, Lance. "..my brother and his friends were just playing.. and.. Carlos didn't catch the ball...please don't be mad.." Lance is much scrawnier than Marco, but he still idolizes him since Marco is considered to be 'so cool' by the neighborhood kids.

Lee- Your students giggle at your talking to the hawk. To everyone's surprise however, the hawk seems to fly off. After the students have calmed down and begun to pay some attention to macro molecules instead of birds of prey, one student- John- inquires if macro molecules repeat something or work in any way similarly to macros on computers. Before he can finish articulating his question, the hawk may be heard rapping on the door with his beak while presumably balancing on the door handle. ".. I.. Mr. Lee, I think it's knocking!..should we answer it?" asks Isabelle, who is seated nearest the door.

Joao- You find that even the Romans believed in dragons, as Latin is the origin of Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, and Romanian. All you can find when looking into this angle, however, is a conspiracy theorist website that tells you that everything that's ever been imagined, or ever conceived exists in some alternate reality. Everything from Pixies, Dragons, Tribbles, Vampires that disintegrate in the sun, Vampires that sparkle in the sun.. there exists some alternate reality to accommodate these things. It suggests that as old as the universe is, there is nothing new to be created, imagined, or devised. Instead these things find there way through the veil in the weakest possible way- as an idea, a minor imprint on a sentient mind; usually one that is sleeping. This, the website explains, is the origin of inspiration. The website suggests that the dragon mentioned is very real, and that it will die in its respective universe and that somehow that affects this side. It seems utterly ridiculous, but it's the only lead you can find.

Sasha places her luggage in her room itself and slips the mint into the pocket of her hoodie, then leads the group to the writer's room and raps rhythmically on the door once the SSPs are behind her. No anxiousness, no worries about what might come - just confidence that she's about to get her companions the push they deserve.

As soon as the door opens, Sasha greets the writers with a smile. "Good evening! What're you doing in there?" She peers into the room over the writer's shoulder and into the room. "Oh, we simply must join you!" She says, as she welcomes herself and the SSPs into the room by walking in and falling into a nearby chair. "Y'know what I think? Now's a good time for some pizza and beer. Who's up for some pizza and beer?" She asks, snatching the room service phone out of its port.

To make 'em friendly to us.

Taking 10, for 17, so unless any of the writers have 16+ Charisma, it should be enough to go from Indifferent to Friendly. And I'm thinking the pizza and beer bribe might help. :3

Then we can be gods. *I begin to build up a wizard character, imagined in the same universe of the dragon, with the ability to Gate between worlds easily and a disposition to do so. I flesh him out in terms of creation, describing him and his inclinations, Chaotic Good, a Wizard with 20 levels, intent on bringing magic to our world. Very good observation. Macromolecules and Macros for your game control must have something in common to share macro in the name. As it turns out macro means large. Macro molcules are very large indeed, some contains thusands or more atoms. That said they are very small, and can still fit inside a single cell. Lee Smith turns to the tapping at the door window. Right there is the hawk.

Hearing Issabelle's question Mr. Lee replies with No, I think I best answer. Mr. Lee opens the door, steps outside and reaches for the letter. If allowed to take it he will thank the bird, and tip him a dollar before returning to his classroom.

Sasha- As soon as the door is opened, one of the writers, Ben, is quite flustered at your intrusion. You don't let him get a word in edgewise. He tries to interject "what are you doin-" but by the time he's gotten the words out, you and your comrades have already made yourselves at home. The other writers are as stunned as Ben- but they do quickly perk up at the notion of pizza and beer. "Well, it has been a long day.." They elect not to make too much of a fuss as you order it for them all, and once your order is placed, they relax a bit. "We've been working on several different story lines coming up.. but the head executives are trying to shove more and more new blood down our throats- no offense" he says to the crew accompanying you. "It's just that they're worried Stephano is going to kick the bucket, and as you know, Quake has cancer.." There's scrambling to find what sticks with an audience to replace them without losing much. So we've been pretty stressed... pizza and beer is good..What brings you here anyway?"

Liam- The kid recovers some facial coloration, and seems really uneasy with this plan. He's a decent kid, honestly. "You want me to tell my dad what happened and have him come over here tomorrow to agree that my brother pays off the window.. and you want me to tell my brother and his friends that they're going to pay for your window." he says, obviously dreading the prospect. "I'll tell them.. er.. um.. how much does a window cost?"

Joao- As this character of yours starts to develop, you get the feeling that it'd have a stronger sense of reality if you adventured with it somehow.. or wrote a story about it. Almost like the more people who know about it, the closer the reality is to your own. You happen to recall a flyer for a DnD group that you saw at the restaurant. It had a website listed. There are also several websites for DnD, as well as several for story writing. There's a local creative writing group. (What do you want to do?)

Lee- Your students get somewhat excited- they didn't expect it to be that easy. Macro means large- that's easy to remember! Several kids feel like they might do well on the next test. When the hawk knocks, they're all shocked- and begin whispering amongst themselves. "Does anyone know who that hawk belongs to?" Of course, none of them knows. Isabelle is briefly disappointed, but enjoys having the best view when you do answer the door. The hawk lets you take the message, which is on rolled handmade paper and sealed with red wax. The hawk allows you to tip him, and finally flies off for good. The scroll is small, but well made. The wax seal depicts a coat of arms (roll knowledge(nobility) ).

"Can't we hang out with the people whose penmanship will dictate the course of our careers?" Sasha asks, flashing her most winning smile at Ben and the collective writers after ordering the food. "But, now that we're here, we see how much of a struggle it has you've been having. It must be such a burden on your shoulders, having to balance the demands of the executives with the unfortunate circumstances of some of our fellow talent..." She gives a sympathetic look to the gathered men and women.

"It just so happens that, well, we might be in a position to help. As we all know, long roads in cramped conditions can get dreadfully dull, and, while traveling, we thought it might be fun to bounce some ideas around after reading the truly inspired work you've all been doing with our scripts." She smoothly explains, as she reaches into her pack and slowly retrieves the script she's written. "So we jotted a few of our ideas down. Just a small collection of our thoughts on how we'd like to work with Prince Fieri - and you know how much we all admire Heyman's Harpers." She looks to the SSPs, nodding at them and expecting nods to confirm her comment.

"And, well, if it'd help take some stress away on these long nights, perhaps our thoughts might help?" She asks, holding the script out to Ben. "It's nothing special, obviously, nothing compared to what you guys manage every week, but with a little editing, it might make your jobs that much easier!"

Again, taking 10 for 17. If the last one upped them to Friendly, and this counts as Long or Complicated aid, I believe this should bea tthe DC.

[roll0] int roll to remember the seal.
[roll1] knowledge roll to see what Lee knows.

After looking at the school for a while he puts it into his pocket for later.

Bad news guys, Hogwarts isn't hiring. Oh actually I guess that is good news if you like me. Mr Lee places the scroll into his cabinet and locks it.

Okay so our first macromolecule is something you have all heard of. Carbohydrates, I like these guys because they tell you what they are made of right in the name.

Sasha- As much as people would like to claim that flattery won't get you anywhere, they're wrong. The writers- especially Ben- are receptive to your praise. As your comrades nod enthusiastically in agreement, this only furthers the effect. Ben reads the script you hand him, and his eyes slowly widen in response to it- it's good, very good, and he can't deny that. "This is.. very good. I think we could.. polish it up a bit, make it better... how quickly could you all learn this script? and.. we'll need to talk to Fieri- he's in room 109.. hm.." He passes the script to the others who read it over with mild surprise. They just finish reading it as there's a knock on the door. "Room service!" - It's a tall man dressed as a proper butler bearing a rather large silver tray on which items have been carefully stacked and covered. You see his name is James from a nametag on his lapel. "Good evening, if you should need anything else, please give us a ring." He sets the tray upon a large table within the room, bows slightly, and takes his leave. The food smells delicious and warms the writers up even more to the notion of your assistance.

Haruka- The voicemail is indeed from your sister. It explains what's been going on at the hospital but also shows concern for you, she asks you call her back as soon as you get it.

Liam- The kid agrees once more and scampers on home. He does tell his father, who in a fit of rage at Marco, begins collecting his consoles and games with every intention of pawning them to pay for the window. Marco is grounded, and punches his brother for being a snitch, leaving him with a black eye. His father is less than pleased. At any rate, the next day, Marco and his dad show up. The dad takes a look at the damage from the street and barks for his kid to stay in the car. He knocks on your door.

Joao- You quickly begin getting comments. Some people think level 20 is a bit too high, and while they like the concept, would like a lower level version for their games. Some people praise the concept, and suggest ways to min max his damage output- asking what method you used for stat generation and what sources were used for his creation. Some people quibble about the choice of familiar, but most ultimately try to be helpful. As a story, people comment on how creative it is, and when they find out you're a translator, ask you to translate it to other languages. As a conspiracy, some people dismiss it- calling it ridiculous not only because magic is obviously not real, but because if such a person existed, they'd already know. Some people gobble it up, however, adding onto all the "proof" that it must be possible- explaining how Atlantis must have gone to a separate dimension, and how architecture across the world must have come from elsewhere. (Roll a luck check)

Lee- Your class is disappointed about your Hogwarts comment, as several students had hoped that that was exactly the nature of this hawk's visit. Macromolecules just aren't that great of a consolation prize, but you reign in their attention regardless. The rest of the class goes by without any more distractions, with you actually finishing the lesson. When class ends, Coach Laramy walks in. "Hey, do you have a minute? I have a few athletes in your class who say they can't do their assigned homework next week. We're going to a series of competitions, they simply won't have time- they'll be crammed in a bus for hours, and then they have warm ups and all of the event stuff going on. Any way you can wave their homework?"

"We can learn as quickly as we need to." Sasha assures the writers as they read through the script, then gets to her feet when the butler enters the room and reaches for her cash. Just before James leaves, she gives him a tip. Once gone, she silently ponders how they managed to get a hotel with proper butlers for once, then uncovers the tray to get a good look at the delicious treats it bears.

edit: see OOC.

I am guessing they put you up to this. I know your new to teaching and coaching, so let me explain what I can and cannot do. I can not waive any class work assignment, or homework assignment for an athlete. It would get me fired and probably you fired. Furthermore it would harm the school, that is the law. Furthermore when you stop and consider it, not doing the work isn't really in the students best interest. Finally if the student competes while ineligible we would automiaticly need to forfeit any game the student competed in, even if we clearly won. Mr. Lee feels for the new coach and teacher thinking back to his first years.

Any how I wouldn't worry to much. I am very relaxed when it comes to grading, the student can choose not to do it, and take the zero for now. They can then make it up until progress reports, I usually stop taking late work earlier in the week of progress reports and report cards, so I can finish grades. I'll have the date posted on the board for a week or two before hand.

Now, as far as eligibility is concerned he should be able to still play. Even if he or she has an F in class, that only puts them on probation. They will have a week to get their grade back up to at least a D. I will be here for at least 2 hours after school each day unless I have a doctors appointment and if a student is working in my class I am willing to stay even longer.

You know I can't do that. Each student athlete or not gets the same chance, and if a student gets an F in my class it means they are not trying. I will take any late work they turn in, and if they get an F for the week they have the next week to get there grade up while on probation. They could still even play in the game its just when they get back they need to work hard and make it up. Furthermore I am not sure what homework they want waived, most of my students can finish the work during class hours.

Lee stops and considers if he should tell Mr. Franks the athletic director.

Mr. Lee was looking forward to the end of the day, he was going to take a picture of the wax seal with his phone and see what the internet turned up, he also wanted to know what the well tipped hawk had been wanting to tell him so badly.

When Marco's dad knocked, Liam went out and opened the door. He looked at him for a second, before nodding back towards his living room, gesturing for the man to step inside. He sat down in a chair, and held out a hand toward the sofa. When the man was situated, Liam began speaking.
"Okay, Imma cut to the chase here. I understand that this was an accident. Accidents happen. But I won't tolerate him trying to run of after screwin' up. If I'd a done that as a kid, I would have been beaten so I couldn't walk right fer a week. So I want the kid to learn a lesson. The little guy's of the hook, which he probably told you. He ame back and owned up to it. But Marcoand his friends are gonna pay for the repairs. And I want it to be paid from their own pockets, not by you or anyone else. I don't care if they work for the money, sell their toys and comic's or steal it. I just want them to carry the full responsibility every step of the way. That something you can agree with?" Liam said, although he knew the fathers agreement was really a formality. This was how he wanted things to happen, so this is how they would happen.

Joao- By the next day, your theories are going viral. Major news publications, while not publishing anything in print, and responding and talking about your theory on social media. You get supporters from unexpected places all over the world. You get a lot of hate, too, and your inbox is being flooded with insults and requests for more information. As soon as it's in English, the web just eats it up. You're an internet celebrity. You even get invitations to join other internet celebrities on their podcasts to talk about your theory. It's almost overwhelming. On the plus side, you do get a LOT of requests to translate things for clientele you'd normally never come in contact with.

Sasha- Once inebriated, one of the writers, Carlton, informs you that he was surprised they ended up at this hotel. "It's a funny story actually.. you see the original hotel we were all supposed to be at received a failed inspection notice and has had to close down for repairs. This came as somewhat of a shock because even though we're usually scheduled to be in cheaper hotels, the Venetian Hotel was actually on the nicer end of the cheap hotel spectrum.. it seems they have had a bed bug infestation. Unfortunate business that... well.." He is a rather talkative man once alcohol loosens his tongue. "We had to be put in a different hotel, and we needed a number of rooms..well, this was the only one with enough vacancies! I suspect the change in venue may be why the fans haven't tracked any of you lot down... I suppose they must have been assuming cheaper venues too.. it's nice to get a break, fans are so loud..and crafty... that reminds me of a story once.. you see.." He drones on about how a fan once pretended to be room service to makes off with a pair of The Shield's boxers. The writers mostly roll their eyes at his yammering, and ultimately tell you how pleased they are with the script you wrote. Ben even tells you you could have had a career in writing. Your companions are just happy to be eating such wonderful food.. it goes against their diets, but they really don't care.

Lee- The coach shrugs. "Well, I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.. I'll tell them to just do it when they get back.. they won't be in class next week, that's why they wanted it waived.." The notion that his athletes would still get to play regardless was enough to make him relax, they'd just have to do it when they got back. That was surely good enough. He thanks you and walks off, leaving you to your next class. Eventually you do get through the day. (Roll luck check and Knowledge Nobility with a +10 from Google).

Liam- Marco's dad follows you in, sits on the couch, and hears your spiel. The dad leaned forward, with his hands clasped and his elbows resting on his knees. "I understand that my boy screwed the pooch on this one.. to start with, I brought a broom in case you hadn't swept up- I'll make him do that, and I'll make him clean your kitchen if you want. We don't have much money, and he's too young to legally get a job so he'll have to sell his consoles and games. I'm also pretty upset with him for giving his brother a black eye last night for being a snitch. I'd like to take a few measurements and see how much it'll cost if you don't mind.. in the meantime, do you have any jobs you need done? I can drop Marco off here after school if you need anything he'd be capable of doing. I'll make him pay for it somehow.. I think the lesson would be good for him.

Haruka- You find the overly-helpful police officer escorts you to work, though you arrive without further incident. It's a fairly quiet day. Your boss asks you about why you were late, but the police officer explains all about the train delay and your having had a claustrophobic reaction. Your boss is sympathetic, and the cop finally leaves.

Yume- Finally getting a response from her sister and therefor knowing she's safe, Yume sighs with relief before getting back to her job. She goes to help out in the clinic because it's quiet during daylight hours for her. It's pretty routine stuff at first- the flu, overly-worried pregnant women, teenagers who are convinced they can't be pregnant because *insert reason* but whose pregnancy tests say otherwise.. Standard stuff. That is, until a man comes in. "Hello, I'm Dr. Tsukino, what seems to be troubling you?" Yume gives her spiel. "Hello, my name is Shiro Tagana. I need you to teach me how to survive being shot. I'm going to be shot tomorrow." Yume gives him a look. She must not have heard that correctly.. "You're going to be.. shot tomorrow? Have you informed the police?" She asks. "Yes, but they would not listen" he replies, very frankly. "Why would you be shot tomorrow?" Yume asks. "Oh, it's just what is fated to happen." Yume has a raised brow, and begins to think this may be a psychological problem, not a medical one. Good thing she's a psychiatrist, then.. but as she pries for more information, the man has a bizarre response. "You see, my family is cursed. My elder brother was shot when he turned 42.. as was my father, my grandfather, and my uncle on my father's side. All were shot on their birthday. It can't be avoided- as I turn 42 tomorrow. " Yume wonders for the briefest moment if that could at all be true.. knowing it must surely be imagined. "Can you prove that?" she inquires, expecting not. The man brandishes newspaper clippings, magazine articles, death certificates, and a small glass box.. containing 3 bullets that have obviously been removed from someone. The stories seem to suggest that his family really does have a problem of people being shot when they turn 42.. "As you do not have a medical problem, I'm going to vouch for you to the police- they should be able to help you, but I'm afraid I cannot." She calls them, insists that he's shown her proof and requests that they send someone immediately- Haruka's friendly officer received this particular job.. and Yume goes back to work, wondering to herself if it really is a curse.. like how she and her twin hear voices.. She pops back in the room. "Uh.. if the police won't help you, then uh.. then come see me in my office, and wait for me if I'm not there." ... On the off chance that it WAS a curse.. she could at least admit him to the hospital.. where he'd be most likely to survive.. and on some level, she just had to know..

"Hmm, that sounds pretty fair... Tell ya what, give his games and stuff to me." Liam said after a moments thought. "Then he'll come over here every day after school and do errands for me until he's worked of the repair cost. Then he'll have to make choice: Work of some of the money, and pay the rest with his console. Or, work of ALL the money, and get his stuff back. seeing it lying around here might entice him to work harder. Also, it'll give me something to do. Haven't played a video game in years. Anyway, if that sounds good to you, You don't need to do anything other than make sure he gets over here every day. Of course, I can make exceptions for when he's got somethin' important to do for school or at home. That arrangement seemd suitably harsh but fair to me... Now, with that out of the way!"
Liam rose from his seat, and walked into the kitchen, returning a moment later with a beer in each hand.
"Whaddya say we drink to the deal, and let the kid stew a bit longer in yer car before ye go back, eh?" He said with a smile. Marco might be a little brat, but both his brother and father had turned out to be decent enough. No reason not to be civil.

He lays out the scroll and captures the light before taking a photo and uploading it to the computer, he uploads it the first site he finds on google searching "identify this crest forum".

Afterward he starts looking based on the clues he has. What crest has this animal, what about how the shield is layed out?

Eventully he decides he has the picture and opens the scroll any ways.

Throughout their stay in the hotel room, Sasha declines to eat any of the pizza or drink any of the beer herself - it's never really been her kind of food. She keeps a bottle opened beside her, and listens to the loosened tongues of the various writers. Including the tale about somebody making off with one of The Shield's boxers, which explains how Renee met Dean. She spends the time basking in the compliments and helping the gang enjoy themselves, before deciding that enough's enough and her body, at least, demands some rest. With a quick farewell, she departs the writers' room for her own and looks around once she's locked the door.

(Sorry, went shopping the other day and got utterly lost- slept a lot after.. and luck rolls are straight up d20 rolls)

Joao- You can't find a way for him to come over, but you do get a brief vision.. you see his image.. and it's strange, because it's as if you're looking at him through a mesmerizing haze, or perhaps through a portal. The foreground of your vision is very clearly the city you're in it.. but the background is completely foreign, with him standing in front of a spiral-topped stone tower. When the vivid vision fades, you find yourself on a page that you hadn't seen before because it had stuck to another page. When you translate it, it speaks of the Hands of Time and Space.. as though they were objects that were tangible. There's even an image. The "Hands" are wands that look like very stylized, black hands for a clock.. only round- they're wands! The longer of the two is the labeled "Time," and its brother bears the name "Space." The book seems to suggest that the Hands were in some way misplaced.. that they left the plane of their initial existence. When you google for them, they are not there. No image site shows wands like these. Perhaps someone has them already..

Liam- The tired man chuckles and accepts the beer. "Oh, alright. Patience might do that boy some good. Thanks for the beer. The consoles are in the car already; I'll make Marco bring them in when we call for him." As he allows himself to relax a bit, he divulges a bit. "I'm a mechanic by trade. If it has a motor, I can fix it. It's hard work- and I wanted to share it with the boys, but Marco doesn't have the patience for it and his brother hasn't any interest in cars. What do you do for a living?"

Lee- The crest dates back to the 15th Century England, to King Rose whose reign included the end of the Middle Ages. The shield is split into quarters, and the sides are marked by two golden roses, blooming "towards" each other, with very long, wavy stems that follow the length of the shield. The roses act as the supporters of the shield. A gelded coronet with three points sits atop the shield, itself bearing a golden knight's helm (with the visor down). The crest rises from the helm with a golden stem, extending fully from the top complete with thorns and leaves and blooming into a red rose as the crest. You're not sure what all of the symbols mean in heraldry, but it becomes obvious from your research that the Rose family took the name after adopting the imagery, not the other way around.. Historically, in fact, you find that the different colored roses involved in it once belonged to other families which the Rose family in someway defeated and adopted thereafter. The quarters into which the shield, below the Field, has been split are filled with 5 each of the suits from playing cards, with diamonds on top left, hearts on bottom right, spades on bottom left, and clubs on top right. The motto translates to "This is the Rose that blooms in winter" - the internet informs you that this is because the women of the Rose line tended to give birth in winter, which was unusual for the time. The scroll itself is written in Latin. Due to your knowledge of French and Spanish, you can recognize some of it, but what's odd is that.. it seems to glow. You realize that you're in some way seeing an aura.. something that isn't really there. It's so strange, it's multicolored.. and it specifically traces the letters of the words on the scroll, not the paper itself.

Sasha- The room is nice, there's a television, an in-room thermostat, a mini-fridge stocked with expensive goodies plus a bottle of complimentary, free lemonade. The curtains are drawn, but when you peak, your room overlooks the pool. There are two people in it right now- but there's also a hot tub, and no one is in that. The bed is soft and inviting, complete with a warm comforter. The bathroom is the most surprising part, though: it has a jacuzzi bathtub bedecked with hotel soap bottles and origami-shell folded towels.

Haruka- You have a rather slow day, but you keep getting texts from Yume as new things develop. ~Have a patient, claims he's cursed. Thoughts?~ You also get an elderly lady who comes in complaining about how her leg hurts, but she refuses to see a doctor and just wants you to give her medicine. "No, not aspirin dear, that doesn't work. No dear, not tylenol. I am sure in a lot of pain, don't you have any of that Vicodin?" This sort of thing happens often, just not usually from people old enough to be your grandmother.

Sasha lets out a soft sigh as she enters her room, instinctively locking the door behind her and placing the bag containing most of her personal effects on the center of the bed. She shrugs off her hoodie, folding it up beside the bed before strolling over to the window and catching sight of the two people in the pool. Alone. At night. She pushes open her window and whistles down to them. "Oi! No funny business, you two! I'll be keeping an ear out!" She warns them gleefully, does the "I see you gesture", then closes her window again and draws the curtains. With a night of peaceful sleep all but guaranteed, she has a quick bath and turns in for a night of going to sleep while reading comic books.

Sasha's dreams go far more pleasantly than she'd have expected, although the fact that she's not on a thin mattress or a bumpy RV couldn't have hurt. She was at peace in her bed when suddenly, there came a tapping, as of some one gently rapping at her chamber door. A mysterious voice follows, as she shifts into a sitting position in her bed and tries to understand what's happening. As soon as she slips a leg out of the bed, the sensations of last night return, and a playful smirk comes to her lips.

"Oh, that's a bold claim!" She replies through the door, as she pulls on some casual clothing and pops a piece of chewing gum into her mouth. "Let's see it put to the test, hmm? If you're my biggest fan, you'd know...who my first tag-team partner was, back in All-Star Wrestling?" She asks, as she opens the pack that contains her ring gear.

Joao- It occurs to you that there are a lot of specialty shops run by people who are so unfamiliar with modern technology that there's no way they'd have put their stock online. As your stories continue going viral, you eventually get an offer from a publisher who wants you to publish an actual book series- not just a single book, but a trilogy focused around this one wizard. Their pitch aims at being for teens/young adults. They're offering a decent sum of money.. 200,430.00 Real ($50,000 usd) per book, with the expectation that it take a year per book. The catch is that they want it in English.

Lee- When you get home and put it in google, it tells you: "Descendant of the Falconer, Meet me at sunset where the Phoenix and the Dragon collide. Come alone. ~P. G. Falkner." Upon reflection, you realize that the Phoenix and the Dragon refer to rival casinos positioned near eachother, separated only by the hugely successful Fire Pit Grill and Bar. The grill is notorious for its fire dancers, who provide a show for its patrons.

Haruka- The old woman's eyes gleam and she slips you cash and saunters out with a heartfelt thank you. The workday ends soon enough, and you're free to go home. Yume texts you around the time you're off work. "Remember I'm here. Love ya sis. ~Yume"

Yume- After texting you, Yume catches a 20 minute nap before dinner, and takes a longer dinner than normal in order to get a bit more sleep before the sleep study. It's going to be a long night..

Knowing she could get a hold of Yume and relaxed now from her little cocktail, though she had a refresher in her purse if she needed it, Haruka decided that getting home, instead of taking the train, she would instead take a taxi home. It would be a bit more expensive, but a lot less claustrophobic if something went wrong. She texted her sister that she was heading home and wished her luck in her sleep study.

*I gladly accept and begin witing. I also go visit said specialty shops asking, ostensively, for suggestions about my book. My focus right now is on trying to alter reality, not trying to make money, but I gladly attempt to do both. Plus writing in English is easy for me.*

Hey honey! Lee calls upstairs to his wife. I am going to the strip for a while, I'll be back soon. This was the most asinine thing Lee had ever done but his curiosity could not be contained at this point. He gets back inside his car and heads to the fire pit. If he hurries he could reach it by sunset.

Liam- (sorry to have missed you!) The man's eyes widen, realizing he never gave his name. "Ah, dang.. I'm sorry. Name's Dan.. and you know, I don't really know many people outside of work.. If you need a part time job.. I can teach you to be a mechanic. You'd work 4 hours a day 6 days a week, and it'd pay $14 an hour. I'd be willing to teach you for free.. or if you're the sort that needs to do something for it, well.. Lance could stand learning to fight. He's scrawny and he doesn't stick up for himself. Marco walks all over him." Dan glanced out the window to make sure Marco was still in the car.. he wasn't. "Oh you have got to be kidding me..Marco ran for it." He runs out of the house to track the kid down. It isn't particularly difficult for him to find Marco, who had only just managed to crawl into a neighbor's boat. Dan grabs him by the ankles and hoists him back out of it before dragging him back to Liam's. "You are in so much trouble Marco, thinking you can just run away? What the hell were you thinking? Do you know how dangerous it is out there? You wanna get shot? Stabbed? Mugged? Kidnapped and half starved? This has to be the stupidest thing you've ever done.. and I'm so sick of your screw ups."

Haruka- The taxi ride home is pleasant. It's quiet, you even see a collection of people dressed as anime characters hosting a car wash for a charity that supports kids with leukemia. When you get home, the cats curl up with you and purr contentedly. Yours in particular kneads your legs affectionately. They welcome you home, but they do start complaining about their half-empty food bowls shortly after the welcome party has disbanded. They jump down from the couch, proceed to the kitchen, and mew as though they were starving. Ah, cats. Gotta love them.

Joao- One shop keeper in particular delights in giving suggestions. He takes you on a tour of the shop, pointing out antiques and leading you to a case full of gemstones and crystal wands/balls/statuettes/etc. It's a lovely display, and a few items do catch your eye- there's a pair of crystal goblets made of smoky quartz. They are beautifully carved such that the cups appear to be round gems held by a dragon's claw. There are things here you'd expect to find in a DnD game, honestly. There are all manner of crystal wands and rune-inscribed talismans. There are singing bowls, mortars and pestles, and even ornate hand-woven dream catchers. The thing in the store that stands out most to you, even more than the cups, is a beautiful tapestry that seems to depict the cosmos themselves. It's made of all manner of blues and purples, with specks of other colors and silver-white stars. It's absolutely stunning.. and its price reflects that, because it's 4,000 Real (~$1,000 USD).

Sasha- You see a well dressed man in his early 20's holding a breakfast-in-bed-style tray on one arm, complete with covered plates of food and a cup of Starbucks coffee. He is holding a vase of red roses in the other hand. He seems to think that he can score a date with you, based on the flowers and how he is dressed. He does appear to be alone. "Sasha Starr? Are you going to let me in? I'm sorry I don't know that -one- thing, but I'd love to learn! and I promise I'd never forget! I have an eidetic memory, I never forget anything!"

Lee- Your wife calls down to you "The strip? What are you going there for? ... well, okay, see you when you get home- can you bring me some curly fries from Danno's ? Thanks, be safe dear- I love you!" She was a tad concerned about the kind of young, flaunting women that could be found on the strip.. but she trusted her husband. It was probably a school event or perhaps a parent-teacher conference. When you get to the fire pit, the sun has just started its descent. It's beautiful, really, watching the sky glow pinkish-orange. Interestingly, when you go into the establishment, a waitress greets you. "We've been expecting you. This way." She leads you through a side door, and into a private room. There's a catwalk-style stage running down the center of the room from the opposite wall, and there's several tables around it- all empty save for one. A man, dressed in a very expensive Armani suit with a blue rose bud boutonničre rises to greet you. As he turns to face you, you can see that he has a falconer's glove on his left hand- along with the hawk you met earlier. "Good evening, Mr. Lee., I am Perry Falkner." He extends his right hand to shake. He has the firm grip of a businessman. "Please join me for dinner- it's on me this evening. I'm sure you remember Henry, he's a harris's hawk." Perry sits back down and gestures to the chair across from him. "I'm sure you have lots of questions. Feel free to have a look at the menu first, if you wish."

(Quite alright. Happens to the best of us.)

"Hmm, that just might be worth looking into... God knows I've nothing better to do, other than beat some skill into my one stubborn student every monday..." Liam said, scratching his jaw in thought.
When Dan discovered that Marco had bolted, and subsequently found his hiding spot, Liam followed him at a more leasurely pace, still grasping his beer.
He looked carefully at Marco, giving the uppity little brat a good long stare, knowing full well how uncomfortable that made even grown men.
"Huh, I dunno Dan. I just might take you up on the job thing, tho I would have to have mondays of, since I have a prior obligation to my one student there. But this guy..." He said, favoring Marco with an obviously skeptical look. The kid was lean, scrawny really, with no redeeming qualities as far as Liam was concerned. He did however have all the obvious rebelliousness and defiant will that one would expect from a barely teenage boy.

"I don't think I could teach him much of anything. I mean he obviously has a problem with taking orders, and just look at him. He's a wimp, that's what he is! I don't really see why his kid brother looks up to him. I mean, at least that boy had the decency to come back and take responsibility, which by the way, Marco here punched him for from what I hear. So I don't really know if this wimpy little pseudo-bully has what it takes to learn any REAL discipline, much less real fighting." He went on, casually grabbing Dan by the shoulder and turning away so the kid couldn't see their faces. He gave Dan a knowing wink as he talked, pointedly ignoring the indignant faces the boy was no doubt making as he was thoroughly emasculated. If the kid had any balls at all, he would never let such a challenge to his ego stand, and would go into his work and possible training with the fiery determination of wanting to prove Liam wrong. If he didn't rise to the bait, well, then he wasn't worth Liam's time anyway. Liam did think that mentioning the boys brother was a stroke of genius, however. Being turned down in favor of his younger brother? No boy could ever take something like that lying down. Liam knew that from personal experience, being the youngest of five boys.

Lee decides to multitask. He begins by opening he menu. Lets talk about your hawk. I must say he is a supremely intelligent animal, followed directions very well even with a window in the way. Henry I seldom find customer service of your caliber these days. I hope you didn't need to split the tip with the other hawks. Lee turns to the hawk as he is addressing him. Soon after he returns his gaze to the menu. They always put a sauce on the steak here, meat should taste like meat.

Quickly finding a moderately priced rib-eye Lee sets down the menu. He didn't want to feel that he owed this man any favors, after all this was Las Vegas and one can never truly forget its mob history. So shall we talk about the matter at hand? Why did you interrupt my classes?

Liam- Marco stands half scathing, half pouting- as though the combination of either will somehow get him out of this situation. As you humiliate him, his face contorts into all manner of vile configurations- all of them laced with sour disbelief. Dan flashes a supportive grin to Liam when Marco can't see. "Well, you could have Mondays off easily enough.. and I guess you're right. Lance deserves to learn to fight, Marco here hasn't earned it. Oh Marco, you didn't know? Liam here's a fighter. He'll teach your brother to kick your ass. I'm going to give you a choice. You're either going to come back to Liam's where you'll then clean his kitchen, sweep up his floor, and comply with the rest of your punishment- or I can get a second job just so I can ship you to a military school. Oh, and believe me, I'll pick the one you'll hate most. So which will it be?" Marco can see that his dad is actually serious..and that scares him a little.. he'd really work a second job just to send him to military school? ... sweeping the floor didn't sound that bad.. "...sweep.." he says begrudgingly before being forced to sweep.. but if he's not going to military school, he wants to learn to fight. Lance wouldn't be as good at it as him, so how does he get the mean guy to teach him.. He starts by doing a surprisingly good job of sweeping. When he's told he has to give away his consoles and games- TO Liam- and hand them over personally, he stares with his mouth agape. His eyes narrow into a glare, but he'll show them.. he marches- although escorted- to the car and returns with the box they're all in. He hands them, defiantly of course, to Liam. When his punishment doesn't end there, he looks at both men with an incredulous expression. "..what do you mean I have to come here everyday after school?!" Dan smirks a bit, almost sadistically- he's never seen Marco so upset about a punishment, and given how little the brat's learned from his previous punishments, that meant this was getting through to him a bit. "Son, if you had come back and owned up that you'd broken the window.. then this would have been the end of it. But you didn't- you ran away. You need to learn you can't shirk responsibility, so I'm giving you more responsibilities. Learn to be responsible. "

Lee- Perry chuckles. "Ah, yes, Henry is incredibly smart. He showed great promise when he was a chick- I hand raised him. I think he is capable of understanding a lot of what we say." Henry, meanwhile, gazes deep into your eyes with a sentient look. He stand proudly- he ruffles his feathers and begins to preen. You suspect he didn't have to share his tip." The moderately priced items are of course harder to find on the menu. "mm, that's true.. I think I'll have a porterhouse nonetheless." The waitress comes and takes your order before collecting the menus and leaving. When she returns with drinks, Perry pours red wine into two glasses and offers you one before sipping it. "My apologies for interrupting your classes- I didn't know your home address and I'm not sure your wife would have understood or appreciated a home visit. I also doubt the secretaries in the office of your school would have taken kindly to Henry hanging around- they may well have just called animal control. So you see, I had no choice. First I had to make sure it was you.." He holds up a picture, which Henry must have recognized you from. Smart bird indeed.. He slides it over- it's an enlarged version of your faculty picture. "Then I had to deliver my message..thank you for receiving it. You see, there are some strange things happening in the world.. and I believe you're familiar with some of them." It's only then that you realize.. there's a faint aura of color over Perry and Henry.. and he seems to know you can see it.

Sasha- The man walks with you with a grin. "Actually, no I don't.. but my brother does he's the bellhop! Is there anything I can do for you? This is such an honor.. I'm Carter." You hear him, but for a moment he seems far away. You instead hear other sounds... running horses, lots of them. You feel gradually colder until you feel as though snow were landing on you- and then it stops. You're in the hallway with Carter.. he's looking at you with concern. "Miss Starr, are you alright?"

Joao- The shopkeeper is very pleased with this turn of events and carefully wraps it for you. As you're leaving, you have a brief vision. You see a fabric veil drop from the sky, separating dragons and wizards on one side from ordinary soldiers on the other. You are firmly planted on the side of the soldiers, facing this veil. You see a clock, its translucent hands turn quickly.. until the veil tears in the center.. and a hand reaches through. You find yourself back in your car at home.. but you don't remember ever getting in the car, much less driving.

Haruka- You manage to catch a shiny Butterfree. The cats are appreciative of attention- and more importantly- food! The doorbell rings unexpectedly. A postman delivers a package you have to sign for.. it's addressed to both of you. It's a small and fairly heavy package, wrapped in plain brown paper and tied with twine. It features a rather large parchment tag with the words "For the Tsukino Sisters" in hand written calligraphy. If you open it, as opposed to waiting for Yume, it reveals a small chest- much like a pirate's chest, only the size of a square shoebox. It features a hefty black iron lock and matching key. Inside is otherworldly treasure- thick golden coins and a selection of gleaming gems. There's a note... "Fit for a dragon, don't you think? You- and your friends- shall need this. Do not spend it, and keep it to yourselves. Await further deliveries. Sincerely, a friend.

Liam- Dan shakes your hand and shares the sentiment that some good came of it. "I'll be free Wednesday. Why don't I come pick you up on my lunch break and take you to the shop for 3 hours to discuss it then?" He and Marco leave. Dan locks Marco in his room, and welds bars to his window so he can't sneak out.

Lee- Perry smiles. "I'm here to tell you that there's a place where a lot of animals are as smart as Henry. I'm here to tell you that.. there's a divider between this world and another, and that they used to be one. For centuries people have depicted strange phenomenon all over the world- dragons where cultures never interacted. How could this be? If one culture devised the idea, how did another come to do the same? There are old paintings featuring what seem to be UFOs, there is supposedly a UFO in Area 51.. there are sightings of ghosts and monsters every year, but nothing can be proven. I'm here to discuss with you what you believe on the matter... and to share what I know. What I want from you is for you to hear me out.

Joao- Weird things keep happening to you. When you go to a shop, certain items stand out to you for some reason. You have the most vivid dreams. You start to see a strange overlay on the world around you.. like you're looking at the same place but in a different time.. seeing both at once. It flickers in and out of seeing, but it strange nonetheless. You swear a girl in the coffee shop has elf ears.. but only you seem to see them. You get the strange feeling that magic is.. getting stronger.. closer to real. It's insane, it defies logic..everything you have ever known. But still, it does seem that way..

Sasha- Carter frowns with concern. "Of course, miss, allow me to help you.. " He takes it upon himself to escort you to the WWE doctor who thoroughly checks you over. He draws blood and runs several tests- some of which will yield results quickly, some of which have to be sent to a lab. He also gives you a physical. "You seem to be in good health, Sasha. I can't find anything truly wrong.. it may just be that you're suffering from a mild deficiency. I'm prescribing this tablet and think you should take it easy for the rest of the day. I will not prohibit you from fighting, but if the symptoms recur then you should consider not doing so. I'll priority-ship these to the lab, and call you when I have results." Carter, meanwhile, acts the perfect gentleman as he opens doors for you. He's very attentive.

Multiple cultures had dragons because multiple cultures remembered our instinctual fear of reptiles a predator for our long ago small mammal ancestors, or so discovery channel once claimed.

He decided to stay sober for his appointments with the kid on Monday, and with Dan on Wednesday. Sasha sits through the doctor's examinations with nothing so much as boredom at the fact that she wasn't doing anything. There's no audience when you're sitting in a sterile room, nobody to even play tricks on! Because that would be silly, playing tricks on somebody who's examining her when she just had some kind of hallucination. For a moment, she was concerned about some kind of delayed-effect concussion, but a deficiency is just fine. Nobody ever died of a deficiency; only things with long, scary names like aortic necrosis.

"And...I'm okay!" Sasha declares, as she emerges from the office with a pill in her pocket and Carter at her beck and call. "Thank you for the escort. Lee- The man smiles as he gently places a napkin in his lap in anticipation of his own meal. "Of course, it'll be our secret.. now I know it's a lot to take in, and it must certainly sound absurd.. but listen. The UFO in area 51 is real, but it is not a UFO as they believe.. it is the hollow shell of a construct from what is referred to as 'the other side.' The objects in the historic paintings are also constructs. Dragon skeletons have never been found because they do not die of old age- they must be killed- and anyone who does so does not just leave a dragon corpse laying around. Every part of a dragon- blood, scales, bones- all of it.. is valuable. It will have been crafted into armor, weapons, etc. The people of today would find the bones indistinguishable from dinosaurs in their current form.. The remnants of their magical nature will have been quashed by the antimagic field that encompasses this plane. Science has already found evidence pointing to another plane. To be honest, black holes are portals to Limbo, which is itself another plane. I know you think I'm full of it..I knew you wouldn't accept mere words.. there are a -few- relics unaffected by the antimagic field I mentioned.. and I happen to have one." He procures a whistle from his pocket. "Watch.." He blows the whistle- which seems silent- perhaps a dog whistle? ..when all of a sudden a small burst of light appears in a bright spiral.. and a falcon flies through it. While it's present, you see a distant- and vastly different land. There are birds of all sorts visible there.. and when the falcon enters, you realize that one of them was the size of a whale. Upon inspection, there are no projectors in the room- nothing to explain the optical illusion you just witnessed.. and certainly nothing to explain the falcon, which now resides on Perry's shoulder. "This is a family heirloom.. supposedly from a time before the veil. It's quite old. It predates the supposed invention of the whistle, in fact.. do you believe me now?"

Joao- You fall asleep. You see a beautiful elven woman in a flowing gown decked in lights as bright as stars. You realize then that they -are- stars- she's wearing shimmering constellations, and it's absolutely beautiful. She looks upon you, and beckons you forward. "I am Lady Estella- I am the Goddess of the Stars. Soon, your world and mine will come together. You should direct your efforts not to this goal's fruition, but to what you shall do when it happens, for it will happen soon- such fate is written in the stars." She glows brighter and brighter, until all is white- and you wake up as though nothing had happened.

Haruka- Yume texts you back. It's rather boring doing this particular sleep study- there's absolutely nothing wrong with the man's health. It's obviously an environmental factor of some kind at his own home. She lets you know she'll be on her way home soon. 30 minutes later, she lets you know she is on her way, and another 30 minutes later she pulls into the driveway. "Haruka, I'm home- are you alright? What trouble did you get in today?" Her first priority is making sure you're alright, despite being curious about the package.

Liam- You get used to this routine. Your original student comes back- he gives it his all. Marco works hard to impress you, Lance tries to learn to fight and does a little better than you thought he would despite being so scrawny, and Dan gives you a part time job and teaches you the basics of being a mechanic. At first, you're just directed to do simple tasks, but eventually you understand more than just how to unscrew things. As a result of your job, sometimes you get invited to go drinking with some of the guys in the evenings after work. Sometimes you manage to go, keeping all of your appointments.. you have friends now. It's a nice change... until Dan is offered a much higher paying job halfway across the country.

Sasha- Carter is gives a sigh of relief at hearing that you're alright. "I am glad that you're alright" he says. "Actually, Sasha Starr, in truth I already have your autograph. Actually, I'd like to ask you something... Miss Starr, may I have the pleasure and honor of your company on a date with me?"

"Oh hey, Yume" Haruka replied, stroking one of the cats. "Well the train ride was rather scary but after that, it was actually kind of quiet. It only required a couple tranquilizers to relax myself. Sounds like your night was even more boring than mine. You want to open this package with me? I have no idea what it is." Haruka put the cat down and then lifted up the package. "It's addressed to both of us so I figured I'd wait until you returned before it was opened so we could both see what it was." She then gave her sister a small welcome home hug.

The brim of Sasha's hat lowered as Carter revealed his curious purpose and she let out a soft chuckle. She walked a few steps further with the young gentleman, in what had temporarily become a courtyard of all the WWE's trucks during their travelling, and finds a shadowy side of a trailer to lean against. "If you're looking for a date with me, Carter, I'm afraid of got some bad news..." The tiny performer looked up from from beneath her black hat. "Blackhat favors the fairer sex."

Somewhere deep inside her, Casey Gough's expression could only be read as "???".

*I begin researching news on strange events and such so as to try and figure out WHEN is "soon", also deciding to worship this goddess so she may gain a foothold here - internally though it may be... And wondering, admittedly, if she's single, as she's beautiful, elven and a goddess, which means, me being crazy, there is at least ONE thing I'd love to do after magic comes to the world...*

Well you came to the right town to do magic. What I believe... What I am willing to believe aside. You have yet to tell me why I am here. What do you want from me, I teach science and raise a family that is all. And if I am being honest with myself I could probably do both a little better.

So tell me what is your plan, and what do you need me for?

At first Liam was shocked at this new turn of events. Why did this have to happen, now that he finally had something he liked doing? When he finally had something of worth in his daily life?
Although it took all his willpower, Liam managed to keep his raging feelings in check at work, congratulating Dan on the new job opportunity. Dan had been good to him, and few people deserved a lucky break more than this honest, hardworking man. Liam was determined not to stomp all over Dan's kindness with his own issues.
When he got home, however, he had no reason to keep a lid on his emotions anymore. He barely managed to get into his training room before hs anger was set loose, and he proceeded to attack his sandbag with ferocious abandon.
Why? He thought, as he punched and kicked mindlessly at the bag, every attack accompanied by an animalistic snarl. Why can't I have anything good in my life? Why can't I have something more than the waiting, and the preparation for the Beast?

After a while a loud ripping noise told him that yet another sandbag had buckled under the pressure of his rage. Liam was not yet done, though. And since he did not have the patience to put up a new bag, he simply walked over to the nearest wall and started punching it. With his training gloves on the pain of punching the wall was dulled, and the outer panel of drywall soon gave way to his fists, and Liam was now punching the concrete underneath instead.
It wasn't until his lungs burned too much for him to breathe properly, and his legs could no longer bear his weight that Liam stopped punching. He noticed the dull ache in his hands and turned his hands around, only to see that he had ripped clean through the padding of his gloves, and his knuckles were soaked in blood.
Too tired and spent to care, he simply laid down on his back and stared up at the ceiling.
What... Do I do now?

Haruka/Yume- Yume hugs you back and sits on the couch with you. "I wonder what it is... alright, on 3.. 1.. 2.. 3.." at the end of her count she begins tearing away the wrapping to reveal the chest inside. "huh.." A small pirate-like chest of similar size and proportion to a square shoebox is revealed. A hefty black iron lock with a matching key attached keeps the lid firmly sealed. Yume removes the key and offers it to Haruka. When you open the chest, you see that the inside is lined with otherworldly golden coins and gleaming gems. Half buried in the glittering treasure is a note that reads "Fit for a dragon, don't you think? You- and your friends- shall need this. Do not spend it, and keep it to yourselves. Await further deliveries. Sincerely, a friend." Yume stares for a long while, idly running her fingers through the coins and gems. She is speechless and doesn't know how to respond- whatever she was expecting, it was most certainly not that.

Sasha- Carter seems slightly embarrassed. "Oh, I had no idea.. I am sorry, then.. perhaps.. we could yet be friends?" His blushing face betrays his disappointment, but he is yet a gentleman. ~How did I miss that?~ He wonders, as though that were a piece of trivia readily accessible to your fan base. At this moment, you find yourself back in the strange place enveloped in winter. This time, you see a snowy landscape decked with horse tracks. You see a pedestal standing amidst the snow atop which a strange statue is perched. It depicts a beautiful maiden with a thick fur coat with her hands cupped, holding a shimmering silver liquid. Your thought-sense corrects you- it is not a statue that you see, it is a shrine. A shrine to whom you are not sure, but the liquid in her hands is most certainly holy and otherworldly. After several moments, a voice speaks to you.. "Soon you shall go where fame will not follow, where your name is unknown and where all that you know is not but a distant dream. Be ready." You find yourself back in reality, as though no time has passed.

Joao- All manner of news reaches you. An eager DM contacts you, ready to play a game with your wizard. He sets up a high level campaign with a few other people who all believe that you're right. They each have their own desires for what to make real- and together it makes a full party. The group must first go on a quest halfway across their own material plane, leaving their planet to find the very center of the universe. They find, there, a relic of time- The loom upon which the tapestry was supposedly spun. They defeat the crystal guardians- constructs that take the form of mythological creatures crafted of a particular crystal with powers thematic to it. For example, a Ruby Phoenix. You feel in your core that you are closer to magic. You feel exhilarated by this ever-present and ever-growing feeling.

Lee- "Oh, I don't need anything of you. I just thought you'd like to make arrangements for your family before you end up in the place these birds come from. I had this meeting to make sure I am correct.. and I believe I am. You are spoken of in a prophecy I came to read, brought tome by one of these birds years ago. There are several people, scattered across the world.. these people will actually go to the other side. The catch, however, is that these people will be the only ones in existence on this side or on that that can change what is fated to occur. If magic is allowed to be fully unleashed here on Earth, it would be devastating for many. The very openings that let the prophesied few through must again be sealed, and noone on either side knows how to do that. You unfortunately don't have a choice, it is your fate to end up there, and soon.. Do think about what you will do, friend. Magic is real- and the events are already set in motion." He pays for the meal and walks out without answering any other questions.

Liam- Having destroyed the wall, and as if to answer you, something lands on your chest. It's a small envelope. Inside is a tarnished silver ring set with a garnet stone. The band is thick and masculine, and the stone is small and round. You have no idea where it came from or why it was hidden in the wall. Perhaps the construction crew who built the house had dropped it before the drywall went up. Who knows, but what you DO know is that for some reason, you REALLY like this ring.

Lee heads home with out finishing his food. The man was nuts, that was the logical explanation. And Lee was nuts for meeting a stranger with a hawk.

Once home Lee looks up life insurance. His district gave him 100 grand for teaching, but he took the time to look around supplement it with a new policy. It was a hollow gesture however, the family had money. What they needed was each other. He went to his sons room and woke him up. He told him he loved him, asked about his day, what he learned at school, told him to always surround himself with good people. A strange thing to say to a five year old.

He then went to bed. Woke his wife, told her he loved her and that he was looking forward to their new child. Asked how her day was and then tried to fall asleep. It wasn't a restful night.

Sitting up, he put it on, testing if it fit. After admiring it on his hand for a moment, he got up with a grunt.
Walking into the kitchen, he grabbed a six-pack of beer and sat down on the couch.
"Well then. I guess I'm back where I started... Nothing to do but drink and prepare for the Beast. At least now I'll meet it with a swag ring. That's something, I guess..." He observed to no one in particular, before resigning himself to the mists of alcohol once more.

Sasha remains leaning against the truck, perfectly content to smile as Carter fumbles over his thoughts, until she feels her footing shift and her mind slips into a different place. A statue standing sentinel over snow, a chill for her bones, and a warning that contains the least helpful advice in the world. And her fame? It's not the kind of thing that can be lost in a day. If she wills it, they will come.

Then she's back beside Carter. "Tell you what; give me some way to contact you and we'll call ourselves acquaintances." She raises her hat and raises a ginger eyebrow. "Sound good to you?"

Lee found himself awake early the next mourning. The bags were visible under his eyes, it was four am and he fell asleep between 11 and midnight, or at least the last time he looked at a clock was just after 11. He found himself in his garage pulling out his old backpack from boy scouts. He kept feeling paranoid by the mans warning, he was going to journey away soon. If that was the case he wanted to be prepared. He opened the pack and checked the supplies, the ten essentials should be in it still.

First he had a map of the surrounding areas and Las Vegas, a little less useful since he got a smart phone. Next he had a campus to find magnetic north and orient the maps. His maps even adjusted for the difference between true north and magnetic north. After that he had sunscreen, he checked the bottle it was old but still good spf 45, although Lee usually could get a tan if he used lower spf. Next came the flashlight, it was a head mounted led light. The batteries and bulbs lasted much longer then the traditional hand held, which is why he purchased this years ago. Unfortunately the switch had started to become temperamental, perhaps he would buy a new one. Next to that was a set of spare batteries, not one of the ten but worth while to have. He had a small first aid kit next, tweezers bandages, alcohol wipes, and even chap-stick were inside. It wouldn't help a broken leg but a scratch wouldn't become infected either. After that he had a flint and steel and a set of waterproof matches. Flint and steel could always work, but for Lee it usally didn't. The matches however always worked, but there was ten years since they were last used and sometimes matches stop working as well with age. Next he had a nalgene water container and a platypus pack. Both were empty but easy to fill, given that he had iodine tablets. The tablets made water taste awful but it was clean. He opened a side pouch, inside were some old granola bars, some hot chocolate mix to help with the bad tasting water, some soup broth mix and some jolly rancher hard candies.

That left only 2 items, extra clothing which here was limited to a nice poncho. Lee would have to stock it with a spare set of everything in order to be fully satisfied with his paranoia, not that he would wake his wife for this. It was bad enough that he was losing sleep already. The last item is traditionally a pocket knife. Lee had 3, a swiss army brand single blade knife he won in a contest his last name was engraved on the back. A second much larger and more complete swiss army knife containing two blades, a saw, a bottle and can opener, both types of screw drivers, tweezers and even a toothpick. He received this knife when he joined boyscouts and it was very dear to him. Finally he had a leather-man multi-tool. All three knives were from his time as a boy scout so the largest blade was about 3.5 inches.

He picked up the second blade, it was in a leather case he made years ago. He picked it up and opened the blade, it was still sharp the way he always kept it. He smiled and began to put it back but at the last minute he put it into his pocket instead. He checked the time, looks like he wasn't going to eat breakfast at home after all. Lee Smith tosses his bag into the backseat of the car and heads to work. He should just barely make it there on time.

Haruka/Yume- Yume's eyes refocus on her twin. Snapping back to reality, she speaks. "I.. I'm fine.. Don't be scared.. They must be... our kind of people. You know- people who hear voices like we do.. maybe it's all been real? I don't know why someone would send such things, and I've never seen such treasure as this. It must be worth a fortune." Yume tries to look up the value of their little hoard, but can't seem to find coins like those online. In sheer gold worth, it's a small fortune.

Joao- Portal becomes a thriving magical city, your character chances upon a rare magical node that emits a pulse that reduces the metamagic costs of spells cast in its vicinity. This enables you to build a pretty spectacular city. Casters from all over flock to your city to reap the benefits of cheaper casting, and they in turn assist with its construction. It's a pretty sweet deal.

Liam- You drink so much that you pass out. You seem to wake up in your mind. As far as you can see, you wake in a strange grey-walled building. It is dull, like a prison, but open, like a warehouse. Its walls are much thicker than modern construction, and its roof lower. There is a single row of light in the center of the room which give off a dim, orange-tinted glow. You seem alone. You are able to explore a little before waking for real- and finding yourself in a hospital. You receive a diagnosis of alcohol poisoning, but they've been filtering your blood- you have to stay for a few days for observation but are otherwise ok. The nurses tell you that you almost died. That evening, Dan shows up to visit with his kids, and the guys from work. He tells you that he went by your house to say goodbye and saw what he thought was a sign of a break in where you broke the wall. He went in to check on you and found you unconscious, so he called an ambulance.

Sasha- Carter manages a smile, certain that in time he'll become more than an acquaintance. "That sounds perfect." He seems about to say more, but his phone rings. He frowns, reading the caller ID. "I have to take this.. I'm sorry. It was wonderful to see you.." He walks a few steps away and answers "This is Carter, what is it?" (Roll a perception check if you want to hear the rest of his conversation). After the call, he dashes off in a hurry. Shortly after his departure, someone runs up to you. "Sasha, you're needed inside.. they think you all should rehearse the new script, given that it was changed so close to show..been looking for you all over, glad you're here. They're in room 3."

Lee- You make it just in time, and the students assume you simply went to the bathroom- they are none the wiser. There are no interruptions today, aside from people who keep gluing their eyes to the windows in hope of the hawk's return. The day passes smoothly, aside from a feeling in your gut that gnaws at you.

Everyone- Your lives continue on mostly as normal but getting increasingly weird. Yume and Haruka hear voices more frequently and keep receiving strange packages. Joao's DnD game approaches the point of his ultimate test- whether or not he can somehow bring magic to Earth, and as he approaches that time a feeling wells up within him. Sometimes he swears that his tapestry has changed. Liam spends a few bittersweet days getting to talk to his friends- and exchanges contact information while being told by the nurses that he can't have alcohol while in the hospital (much to his frustration). His dreams are full of the Beast, to the point of his having to be sedated and restrained when he sleep. Sasha's rewritten script becomes a massive success, bolstering her own fame in a seeming contradiction to what she was told would occur, as well as elevating her new friends to the ranks of celebrities. Carter hangs around, seeming to follow you all over the country but seeming to have taken it upon himself to keep other fans from plaguing your social life. Her 'black out' visions become more common. Lee's life continues on the same trajectory for some time, never seeing the hawk again with nothing but a strong sense of anxiety to indicate he ever met at all.

Then one day, about a year later, while Joao is playing DnD his DM tells him that the "Old Dragon" died. Shortly after, news reporters all over the world report strange sightings of a visual phenomenon. It seems that vertical sheets of an unidentified liquid have started to descend from the clouds- in your home towns. You all have an overwhelming urge to gather what's important to you, which you do, and find yourselves... on the other side.

To Joao's surprise, this other side is not in Portal, but instead in a cottage-strewn country-esque city. There is a small wooden keep on the other end of town, visible from any point in the city, but not as impressive as even the castles of the United Kingdom. You are all standing near each other- and even Yume and Haruka's cats made the trip. (You may bring a pet.) For the moment, you are all still human, though if you are not remaining so then you feel strange.

"Whaaat the **** is going on here!?" Liam exclaimed, looking around frantically. He was wearing his everyday clothes with his new ring on his right hand, the other one holding a half empty bottle of beer. As he spotted the others standing around, he stomped over to the nearest of them, some gangly mexican dude. "Hey you!" He snarled, grabbing the guy by the shirt and pulling him up to eye level. "You wanna tell me what the **** this is? where the hell am I?"
He vaguely noticed the others standing around too, but dismissed them immediately. Three women and another scrawny-ass guy. no threat.

In case there's any doubt, Joao is the lucky winner of Liam's attention. I know he ain't mexican, but that's just Liam's first impression.

Sasha blinks as she suddenly finds herself not, in fact, preparing to leave a tour bus in her stylish new roaming outfit, but standing in some kind of hamlet. Or, considering its scope, perhaps something more. Really, it reminds her of her home in Wales, or at least how it might have looked a few centuries ago. With roughly the same smell, as well. And she realizes there's more, not that she could help it, when she hears a particularly angry man yelling at a scrawnier man. Is it Monday already?

She clears her throat and steps up to the scrabbling pair, her longcoat flowing behind her as she slips past the two tiny Japanese girls. "I know what's going on," She says, loudly and clearly, as she narrows her eyes at the man. Oh yes, she thinks she recognizes him. "Liam Morris."

Lee grabs his back pack and puts it on. He still has his old knife in his pocket, he put a few sets socks and underwear into the pack, an old set of pants that become shorts with a zipper and a spare t-shirt into it. Up until now he wouldn't allow himself to do more, what with the irrational fear being the only reason he did this much. What I do now, I do for my children and wife. On those thoughts the portal takes him.

You ever touch something so cold it feels hot, or something so hot it feels cold. The portal was like that, except it was either so bright it made his ear's hurt or so loud it blinded him. The trip lasted for perhaps a second but all of existence seemed to stretch out between where he started and where he ended.

As he comes to a stop in a new existence he leans forward for a moment. Standing upright his vision unblurs and he takes in the sights, two boys and 3 girls. We seem to be in a town, stone and wood buildings. We have a wood fort off in the distance. This location seems safe, at that moment people began to move and talk.

A man holding a half empty bottle grabs the second one who begins to laugh. A girl says she knows whats going on, while laugher goes into monologue "You! Did you come here through a watery pillar? One that drew the attention of the entire world? I DID IT!!! Portal will one day be a reality! The Golden Age! THE GOLDEN AGE!! HAHAHAHA!!! I didn't kidnap you and I don't know where we are, but we teleported! MAGIC! THE GOLDEN AGE! MAGITECH!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!"

Well I seem to of found the idiot that opened the thing. Maybe closing it will be as simple as asking him to undo what ever it was he did. Lee walks to the side of the grapple ready to intercede if it becomes needed. However for now he was content to see how each person acts and reacts, as long as no one gets hurt.

At that point in time Lee notices a pair of cats with them.

Liam just stared at the wide-eyed Joao for a moment, then threw him on his ass with a grunt. "Friggin lunatic." He muttered.
He then turned to Sasha. although he kept a wary eye on Joao, in case the latino-leprechaun tried anything.
"We know each other?" He asked the girl.

*I, not really caring about Liam, look around, smiling, speaking upwards* Okay... Lady Estella, I am at your service! If we set up a gate, you could get access to a world with billions of people and mass media! Gods need prayer in this world, right? You get power by having worshippers, right? *Smiling like a lunatic... I then pause a moment and look to Liam, though too psyched to care if he's paying attention* Okay, I know I sound crazy, but I promise I'll explain it to you later! I really didn't bring us here, but this is magnificent! We've seen magic! OUR WORLD's seen magic! Think of magic and technology mixed together! Can you IMAGINE? Cancer and AIDS, healed by a Cure Disease! Create Food and Water solving hunger! Gates between cities to solve transport! Gates to the Inner Planes to prevent wars by preventing scarcity! A mix of magic and technology, telekinesis and magnets, for instance, generating free, clean and unexpendable power! Do you have any idea what this means???

Liam spared another withering look for Joao, that very clearly expressed what Liam thought of the manic idiots sanity.
"I swear to god, if you get any of whatever crazy's infectin' you on me, I'll punch you so fekkin hard in the nads your great-grandfather will retro-actively become a eunuch. Hell, now it just might be physically possible," He said, his calm, acidic tone promising many and violent futures.

Looking over at her sister before glancing at the strange people around her, Haruka in Japanese says to her sister "Who are these strange people? That short guy is really making me nervous." Barking out a laugh, he gave her a smile and then looked up at the keep. "Sure, why the hell not?" He said.

Liam then cast a glance over at the two other guys, and the two asian chicks. With a shrug he started walking towards the keep. "Say..." He remarked to Sasha after a moment. "You do look a bit familiar. Ain't you some chick wrestler, or somethin'?"

Yume was convinced she was dreaming, and largely ignored everyone except for her sister. She'd stayed up too late.. she had clearly fallen asleep at her desk.. and what a dream this was! She didn't want to wake up, it was the most interesting one she'd ever had.. Perhaps if she remained quiet..it would continue. So she analyzed these conjurations of her mind. They say your brain can't invent a face, but for the life of her she'd never seen any of these people before- and two wrestlers? She had no interest in wrestling.. maybe someone had turned the TV on to a wrestling station and she was subconsciously rolling with it? The maniac was harder to explain.. and the voice, which she'd assume should be speaking given his propensity for magical utterance.. was strangely silent. She held her sisters hand when she was scared, and per her own cat gently. She had no real opinion on whether to go to the keep. It was a dream, afterall, so she wasn't particularly scared. When introduced, she bows politely.
"Good to meet you all." Taking note of Sasha's invitation, she glances at her sister and smiles, then begins to follow. ~This should be interesting.~

Those going to the keep: When you approach, you see it is guarded by 4 armed soldiers. Each soldier was clad in identical breastplates, helmets, greaves, and tunics. Each man had a longsword at his side, and a pear-shaped shield on their left arm. The tunics were colors forest green and white and featured a white gryphon on a green background. "Halt!" the guards say in practiced tones. "Please state your business." They seem surprised to see you, but are quite disciplined. Their faces still betray them- they can't imagine why you're all dressed that way and assume you must all be strange, foreign mages.

Liam studied the guards for a second, noting the way they carried themselves, the subtle confidence that was the universal sign of a trained soldier. Hmm, I guess some things don't change. Good.

Straightening his back, he gave the guard who adressed them a brisk nod. "Afternoon, soldier. We've come hoping to have a meeting with your commanding officer." He said smartly, betting on them recognizing the same traits in him that he saw in them. He kept his tone firm and clear. As a former marine sergeant, he knew the voice that privates listened to.

Further more his ally that seemed a bit crazy seemed to of slipped into this language with out even noticing or maybe he had and didn't realize it.

Lee did his best to stand alert and ready and not look confused, put off, or scared. He wasn't afraid to fight, but against armed trained soldiers fleeing was a much better option.

The guards glance at each other, whisper something (Perception check dc 15 to hear), and turn back to the party. "You'll have to wait in the main foyer.. it's just inside on the left. Don't go anywhere else, someone will come find you."

They stand aside to let you in. When you enter, you see that the inside, while still somewhat plain, has been decorated with well crafted portraits and an assortment of decorative tapestries. Someone obviously made the effort to make it seem as lavish as was feasible for that community.

The foyer is spacious. Sturdy oaken furniture is strewn about with soft, rich colored cloth cushions. There are two large windows, both with large, drawn green curtains and golden rope ties.

Shortly after your arrival, a small-framed woman wearing a plain brown dress with a white apron and matching bonnet walks in with a tray of assorted beverages- tea, water, milk, and coffee. We thank you kindly for your hospitality. We do wish to speak to, well, any of the local leaders, and, since you are a lady of this place, we are in luck, plus we are in a need to get our bearings, since the transporting was to an yet-unknown place. However, rest assured that, since the local nobility is clearly so kind and hospitable, we are ever wishing to learn about your fine domains. A map of this world might help, too, I admit... I wonder if beer's even been invented yet in this place... He thought idly. He did glance around occasionally, in case some guy with a sword, or a spear or something decided to jump them.

Haruka has never been comfortable talking to strangers and she was getting very agitated. She wanted a fix and she wanted it now. She knew she had the stuff but she was worried about replacing it once she used it. So for the moment, she just drank the tea, and huddled near her sister clutching her cat tightly.

Lee- You couldn't make out what the guards were saying. To be fair, noone seems to be aware of the open gates except for your party, and even some of them seem convinced they're in a dream.

Sasha- The young woman listens patiently, showing increased interest at your quite unexpected story. Whatever she thought when she walked in obviously doesn't line up with your explanation. She was bred and raised for social grace, however, and any faltering formerly evident in her facial expression vanishes with a soft clearing of her throat. She smiles sympathetically. "I am quite shocked to hear of your circumstances, and very sorry- it must be quite disconcerting to be in your position." She eyes the group appraisingly. "I do not know of anyone or anything that could have brought this fate about for you all.. we've never seen anything like it. Perhaps my father will know more."

John- To you, the young woman turns next. "I speak for the entire city when I say that is certainly good news that you all hold us in such high regard. I'm grateful for your respectful natures." She says, glancing back at Sasha with a warm smile. "I will try to help you get an audience with my father. Please wait here." She then leaves.

Liam- It's extraordinarily calm in this place. Not supernaturally, or anything, it just seems to be without danger. There are now 2 guards posted just outside the room, but they seem relaxed. In fact, you manage to catch a few words of what they are casually discussing. "Tavern later?" They must have some kind of alcohol if there's a tavern.

Haruka- You hear a voice. It's louder than it has ever been, and pulls in.. a specific direction, as if it were on the same plane. "Haruka..." It calls.. but it is not scary. It's calm, patient. For a brief second, you feel something more than human.

Yume- Yume turns to Lee "Oh, I don't have a plan really.. I want to see where this goes. It's a fascinating dream." But just when Yume goes to comfort her dear sister, she hears the same voice and experiences the same strange feeling.

*I, softly but firmly - and oddly sanely - in English, to Lee* Yeah, I like Descartes, but that's not something that's going to happen. We aren't hallucinations. This isn't a dream. We are on the cusp of something immense and magnificent and we are the ones about to bring it to the worlds and create it. Whoever it is you have back there, they will understand once we open permanent gates and change the history of mankind for the better forever. Regardless, unless we lucked out majorly involving a powerful Wizard, we don't have easy, quick fixes to go back home. And don't think this is your standard hero's journey, where the hero gets back changed to his unchanged home. We'll change our home too once we get back. This is it, Lee, magic. Everything and anything being possible. This is the greatest moment of our lives, the greatest moment of everyone's lives, this is what we all were born to do. This is us changing everything for everyone, forever. And it is real, and it is not a dream. This is reality. This. Is. IT.

"Thank you kindly." Sasha replies to the noblewoman, watching briefly as she departs. She listens to the conversations of the people with her, not acknowledging of the fact that she's been speaking another language - either is as natural as the other, at the moment.

I'm not going to bother with it, because it'd require a natural 20.

*I, in English, managing to miss the point with style, grace and panache* Narnia. Hey, that's actually a great point. Maybe other universes exist... From actual fiction. If that's so... We could meet anyone. BUT... Then again some places have a lot of pretty bad threats... Still that holds a lot of opportunity. Thanks, Liam! You've been very helpful! Oh, and thanks, I loved "Great Magical Revolution", I'll use it for the history books. *I smile in a genuinely nice and friendly way*

Lee shakes his head at John. The entire point of referencing to Descartes was to explain I wasn't a dream or figment of Yume's imagination. It didn't really matter however, as John was very excitable it would seem. Liam on the other hand was very irritable and nearly as loud as John, unfortunately John didn't seem aware of those qualities.

I personally liked "A Horse and His Boy", it was the only portion of "The Chronicle's of Narnia" to take place entirely in Narnia. John, I believe I am here, and maybe your right. Magic can lead to a golden age, however all new developments pose a risk as well. You and I are likely the most vulnerable we have ever been in our lives. Any magic can come over to me and turn me into a green frog when ever they want. That scares me, but ultimately I am still alive. It is all the spells that don't leave us alive that we must worry about. edit: still in English.

*I, either wildly optimistically, insanely stupidly or mysteriously knowingly, always in English* "Oh, that! Yeah, that may be an issue at some point, but I doubt it will. You don't think we were brought here by accident, do you? Well, whoever brought us here will likely protect us or at least give us means to defend ourselves. They changed our languages, that requires specific effort. I'm betting we won't encounter anything we can't deal with. Plus I'm an RPG player. Scrap that, a BRAZILIAN RPG player. *I smile a Ford Prefect-like smile, once described by the late, great Douglas Adams as a smile that would send any sane man running up the nearest tree* You see. We have combatants. An RPG player, however, brings something incredibly valuable to the table. We understand these scenarios. I know how to navigate the uncanny, the weird, the impossible. As for being Brazilian... Suffice to say we are known for being pretty crafty when needed. I don't need to do stabbity things and I don't need to run. But if you see me running and if you see me saying we should not go into a cave or open a chest or whatever... Then, my friend, you'd best heed my advice... Incidentally, what did you do? *I smile* We do! But, well, translator, so that is the highest compliment you can pay me. If my English ISN'T good, I don't eat. Now. Biology, anatomy and physiology. You're basically a doctor in several aspects, you likely know how to make penicilin, just for one example. You could save people here, important people. You could help us all with your skills, tell "yummy" from "poisonous" when we're in the forest and so on. Because when I crash down, I'm pretty sure the fighters won't patch me up. When the fighter gets a snake bite, I'll be useless unless someone tells me what to do. Liam and Sasha can go beat people up for us while I valiantly hide behind them. I can provide info on how the world works based on years of games. But none of it is any good if we don't have someone to help us survive. So stop selling yourself short. You're qualified. Everyone here is qualified. I'm the man with the plan. But the man with the plan needs to live to see the plan through. So trust me, you're good enough.

Lee- It was in this moment, as Yume considered Lee's words and quietly listened to the conversation that was unfurling before her that she began to consider the possibility that she wasn't dreaming, as she had never read some of those works of literature.. she loved to read, she simply hadn't had time.

Liam- You notice that Haruka and Yume are both a little shorter than they were minutes ago. You normally wouldn't have notice, but there's a faint mark on the wall that you had noticed when you walked in, and suddenly, their twin heads fall short of it when they didn't before.

Haruka- Yume smiles with you when you giggle. The two of you feel even closer than you did before, for unexplained reasons.

After John's talk of roles and previous occupations, Yume speaks up. "I am a medical doctor. I'm a psychiatrist, and I specialize in sleep medicine. If I haven't fallen asleep during someone's sleep study, then I'm prepared to heal any wounds you may acquire..." Yume glances at Haruka for a moment, giving her a long look before returning her gaze to the others. "My sister and I have.. experienced odd things, long before we wound up here. We heard voices noone else could hear. We both heard it. Did.. any of you hear voices?" She tightens her grip on Haruka's hand. She knows it makes them vulnerable, but noone is in any position to think them crazy given present events. If they also heard it... well, then that's something worth knowing.

*I* Okay. I saw beautiful elf woman in a flowing gown decked in lights as bright as stars. I realized then that they were stars- she was wearing shimmering constellations, and she was very beautiful, I really wanna meet her for a cup of coffee or something. Anyways. She looked at me and called me forward, then went "I am Lady Estella- I am the Goddess of the Stars. Soon, your world and mine will come together. You should direct your efforts not to this goal's fruition, but to what you shall do when it happens, for it will happen soon - such fate is written in the stars." Sasha idly listens to the conversation, flashing a smile if a look is sent her way, but otherwise doesn't comment yet. The Japanese girls have been quiet so far, but they seem nervous to an extent that she doesn't really want to push them. Her only experience with Japanese culture has been the occassional performance there. It was fantastic, aside from getting streamers tangled up in her poofy hair.

The real concern is that at least two of these people seem to think that being a pro-wrestler gives her actual fighting ability. Well, it would help, considering she's in top physical shape and has had to learn a great deal of real wrestling to be able to fake it well. But, she's not going to spoil it for poor Lee. He glanced between them and the mark he used as comparison for a few moments, only half listening to their conversation.

After another moment, with no remorse whatsoever about disrupting their stupid talk about dreams, which he was not at all interested in thinking too much about, He stood up and walked over to the closest of the girls. Measuring her approximate height compared to himself with a hand, he then walked over to the mark on the wall.

*I look at them* ...Huh... Okay. This isn't an effect from here. This is magic, of course, but if it were an effect from here, we all would be shrinking. This isn't hostile because D&D has a boatload of better ways to cut people off their oxygen habit. This isn't a ransom for the same reason. I say we make sure the guards watch us so they don't get all surprised when you two are hobbits or whatnot. Polymorph is quicker, Shrink Person is quicker... Let's all discreetly check any differences in ourselves, shall we? *I do begin to check*

"It's like...you have a clear picture of what's going on in your head. But you're handing it out in puzzle pieces, and all of it at once - and instead of a picture on the box, we have you yelling what the picture should be. It's making some of us stressed, and that means we won't be listening when you share a piece that helps tie it altogether. Does that make sense?" She asks, coolly. "Take it slow, make one point at a time, and we'll come out of this smelling like roses. Keep doing what you're doing and, well...there might not be anybody left to listen to you at all."

*I* Okay. See, now, this is why I'm a translator rather than teaching. I suck at teaching. That's on me, not on you. Cool hat! Ahem.

Situation one: We are dealing with a magical transformation after being magically transported here. None of us are wizards. It means we need to consult one on just what is happening, why and how. One is likely available around here in this world. Kay?

Now. Situation two: We may well be in this world for some sort of long haul. And we have some items with us. These items may or not be magical in nature. We need to see what, if any, items are magical in nature. We need to find out what they do if they are magical in nature. And we need to sell those we cannot use so we can get money to obtain supplies to facilitate our survival against whatever threats we may find here. Kay?

Now, if I still lost you guys at some point, tell me and I'll break it down for ya.

"Finding a wizard works." Sasha nods, putting the brim of her hat back down. "But we don't need to worry about selling off our stuff any time soon. We're at the mercy of of the local lords, and we should hold off planning anything else until we're sure where we stand."

*I* Okay. They seem, so far, nice and reasonable. The guards seem relaxed, which is good. I don't think we're walking out of here with our personal fiefdoms and a bunch of sexy elven maidens each, but they seem to be quite content with at least letting us go our merry way and at most offering some actual help. So, yeah, the situation seems to be rather comfy regarding them. "Seems" being the key word, but nevertheless.

*I pour myself some more tea* Wonderful brew. Really wanna get to know the cuisine around here...

Lee turns to the nearest guard and politely asks in common, My companions seem to be shrinking, this has us a bit alarmed to say the least. Do you by chance have a wizard or other magic user that could look them over for us?

(The hostess already left the room, she isn't there right now. I'll let you change your post and then will respond.)

The younger of the two guards posted outside the room steps in and stammers. "..er..well.. shrinking??" He seems a bit.. concerned about that. "..I don't know any mages sir.. I uh.. I know a ranger..he has some magic.. good buddy of mine, he manages the stable? Very good with horses, he is.. but I don't know no mages.. you'd have to go to Dragon's Bluff for that.. or maybe even Ametrine City? They have a mage school over there.. turns out apprentices for the three Wizard lords over in Chalkney.. "

*I, politely and sanely, in Common* Thank you kindly for your help. How far and in what direction is Dragon's Bluff and how far and in what direction is Ametrine, my good man?

"And do you know the direction of a good brothel? Perhaps a blacksmith, as well, because we'll need one of those. Are there any latrines available for free use? We'll need a map of all the inns over the country, as well, so we have somewhere to stay. And a list of the local bandits, as well as their activities. A pet store, the tenets of the local religion, a collection of the recent histories, dining etiquette, the fashions, a tailor, a tanner, a sailor, scribe a butcher, a bailiff, a fletcher, a farmer, bowyer, a barber, a carpenter, and a candlestick maker."

*I, calmly and helpfully* Okay. You know what a brothel is, congrats! A blacksmith makes, among other things, weapons, which we'll need. Latrines are, well, where we go answer nature's calls. Bandits are muggers, rapists, killers and so on. The tenets of the local religion are good to have so we don't offend anyone by accident. Think of how an Indian would feel if you invited him to your BBQ. Fashions so we blend in. Etiquette ditto. Tailor so we get clothes. Tanners deal with leather and hides, stuff we'll need for saddles for horses and such. Sailors, well, sail. Scribes can write and frequently are near books and filled with info. Butchers for food. Bailiff so we know the local law. Fletchers make arrows, in case you want to shoot one through my head. Farmers for food. Bowyers make bows so you can shoot that arrow you wanted through my head. Barbers so we fit in, carpenter for us to build houses or work for and candlestick makers so... Yeah, I don't know why.

"Ok." Liam said, rising from his chair. "I warned you, asswipe."

He walked briskly over to John, and before the smaller man could form an answer Liam's fist connected with his jaw with a dull thud, knocking him out cold. Liam calmly cracked his knuckles as John slumped to the floor, looking at him with little emotion.
"Friggin idiot can't take a hint until it hits him in the face..." he muttered, before stalking back to his chair and sitting down heavily. He let out a sigh, then closed his eyes and tried to will his headache away.

Haruka was so happy that the noisy man was silent that she suddenly hugged Liam and thanked him over and over in multiple languages. She then talked with Yume in Japanese telling her about the soothing imagery she had seen.

Yume frowned a bit. She didn't like that the situation had devolved into violence. "Haruka" she said gently, "what exactly did you take?" She comforted her sister just as the guard, who had left to get paper to write all of that stuff down along with some other useful resources returned with a surprised expression. The other guard didn't react.

"Hey.." he said "what..what happened here? why'd you do that? is he ok? ...do I need to restrain anybody?" He wasn't sure how to handle a conflict within the group, his training had never prepared him for that. "..I uh.. brought paper and a local map.." he waves it in front of him, emphasizing it while unsure to whom he ought to hand it off.

His expression changes suddenly as his face contorts in shock and horror, staring at Lee. "...you..you're changing!" he exclaims as Lee's body expands and his face changes. Lee's change is much more evident than the twins' was- he's quite obviously endowed with tusks and his skin has changed tones.

(At this time, everyone whose race is going to change.. it changes. Let me know if you are -not- staying human and I haven't mentioned you.)

(Just fyi, I took the almost human trait. So small tusks and only sorta green.)

Lee paused for a moment after watching John get decked. Liam may of hit him in the face but Lee's jaw was very sore. He reaches out to take the map, he had been out in the wilderness enough to feel comfortable navigating.

The guards screams sent Lee into a panic he looked about the room to see if he was shrinking but the room seemed to stay the same size. That is when he noticed the green pigment on his arm, it was a surreal experience. He didn't feel like it could be his arm but it moved to his will. He forced himself to reach out and take the map and paper.

Thank you.

His jaw was killing him, and he reached a green hand up to touch it and found his teeth had grown. His teeth had grown a lot, he had an under bite and very prominent teeth if they could be so called. As Lee was in the quest of self discovery he began to notice how his pack and shifted on his frame, it was tighter and perhaps lighter.

"Just a tranquilizer. I needed to calm down before I did what the other guy did to yappy guy." She frowned slightly as she never liked it when her sister was upset with her, and was wondering why Yume was staring at her hair all of the sudden. "What's wrong with my hair?"

Liam was too surprised to say anything at first when the teensy asian chick suddenly hugged him and started gabbing at him in a slew of languages, of which he understood exactly one. His knee-jerk reaction was to simply push her away, but luckily her sister pulled her of, and they started chattering japanese at each other. Liam relaxed slightly in his chair again, ignoring the guards reaction to the downed mexican. He didn't give a rat's ass about what they thought. He opened one eye when they started screaming about people changing, though. What he saw made every muscle in his body tense up like steel cords.

I don't believe it... He thought in shock. There, right in front of him, the teacher dude was turning green and growing tusks!
Liam immediately recognized the features. But no, it couldn't be him... Even with the tusks and skin, he looked nothing like the Beast. But he'd been hiding that he was one of those things all along... He had to know where Liam could find him...
With the slow, deliberate motions of a large hunting cat, Liam rose from his chair, never taking his eyes of Lee. His body was coiled like a spring, ready to jump at any moment. With a long fluid step he closed in on the greenskin. Lee was bulking up to Liam's size with the change, but he hardly noted it.
"Where is he?" He said, his voice cold and oozing of restrained violence.

Intimidation. Oooh yes, so much intimidation at Lee.

"Don't play ****ing stupid, freak!" Liam snarled.
He then grabbed Lee by the scruff of his neck, and lifted him slightly of the ground pulling him in close to his face. "I've waited too long, so stop it with yer games!" His voice rose as he started to lose what little control he had left, his temper flaring. "WHERE. IS. HE?" He roared.

Lee shrugs off the hand gripping the back of his neck and steps back. We don't know if I am contagous why would you touch me. If its not obvious already, I am kind of freaking out about turning green already and your insanity isn't helping this situation so just back off and get a grip on yourself! Lee turns his gaze at the singer, is she telling me he is about to knock me out. He takes another step back.
