Time to call on the dark underbelly of the playground for inspiration. The question is this: what might a glabrezu require as payment for wish fulfillment? Assume character alignment ranges from true neutral to neutral evil. The MM entry calls for great and terrible sacrifice/acts so feel free to get diabolical. Thanks in advance.

This would best be answered by the players themselves and good RP. By having a backstory and a strong personality, making the cost something they hold dear (such as killing off a loved one of family member) giving up something related to what they seek (such as a player wishing for a large amount of wealth, but the emotions that ensue with the enjoyment of it are lost) or depending on how much data you have, make the cost something that may not seem like much, but will ultimately cause the player to curse their own decision (Anakin Skywalker is a good example of this one, where he acquired the power he sought, but that very power ended up costing him the things he cared for most of all. The result was all in favor of the one that granted him the power, while little more then a broken husk remained of the one who sought)

Edit: Another idea for ya, If the party member has a good aligned friend (cleric or paladin all the better), the cost could be something very simple to the party member wanting the wish - and that would be simply making that good aligned person make a deal with the devil. If you follow the rules for rituals from BoVD, if you get a powerful good person to fall this way, that is a MAJOR bonus to the roll. As a DM, you could assume they have something of the sort going in the 9 hells, and the power gained from causing a good person to fall would in theory be more then enough for many requests.
