Hel is not a graceful loser?

Ok so based on what Durkula said about theology, each of the gods is still a master of their own aspects but their clerics get limited access to others... Thor couldnt stop Durkula from controlling the weather because then Hel could use plagues, and Thor would be in trouble with the other northern gods.
Well, Hel has already kind of angered the other Northern gods.. So what if she just decides to use her plagues on the Dwarves now anyways? Unless they specifically have a God/Goddess of Healing, then the other gods couldnt stop them anymore than Hel could stop Thors storms. And then her ranks and power would still swell, and the other gods couldnt do much to stop it, aside from attacking Hel before she got too strong, but could/would they kill one of their own?
Just an interesting thought, last ditch effort.

i suppose those people who are ill could curse thor and be struck down by lightning that the priests of hel weren't able to stop. they died challenging a god, which is honorable, so they would all go to valhalla. also, hel would become a pariah among the other gods.

I don't see how Hel breaking the rules would benefit her at all. The gods seem to all be bound by the rules they set for the pantheon (even Loki just expresses regret at proposing one of the rules, not a real desire to break it), and Hel's plan works within the rules, so the gods' hands are tied.

If she breaks them, nothing stops the other gods from doing the same, and that includes the rules that define which afterlife each soul goes to, so the manner of death of the dwarves ceases to have any meaning. And next thing you know, there would be an all-out war in the northern pantheon, and possibly a brand new Snarl as each god breaks reality in their favour.

And even if a new Snarl isn't made, the gods will possibly be so fearful of the possibility that they'll all agree to get rid of Hel just to keep the conflict to a minimum, so it would be her against a bunch of equaly or more powerful beings.
