I have not bought the book yet, but are the new archetypes like Swashbuckler street legal (ie legal in AL games?)

From what I have read in the official statement, it seems like it is, but I wanted to get confirmation here.

Yep, but can't stack all the different extra ressources/books.

What do you mean stack them? Like take a background from one book and an archetype from another?

You can't be a Swashbuckler AND be a Water Genasi. You can't be a Storm Sorcerer and take spells from the Elemental Evil spell list expansions.

Ah, I see. So if I want to do Swashbuckler, I have to stick to Sword Coast and the PHB, no using other sources. I understand. Thanks! I was worried it meant I couldn't take PHB feats or something.

There's a work-around for wizards to bypass the stacking restriction. If you find an EE spell in an adventure, you can spend the requisite downtime and gold to scribe it into your spellbook. It just can't be one you choose when you level up.
