Assuming this weapon is sized for a medium character, it does 2d8 as per the heavy weapon rules from Magic of Faerun (p. 179). Crit is 19-20x4 (due to keen). A steel greatsword weighs 17 pounds, so a platinum version would weigh double that: 34 pounds.

If you have the money, you're probably better off getting a pair of Strongarm Bracers (6000 GP, MIC) and a large-sized mercurial platinum greatsword with the same abilities. Large-sized greatsword would be 3d6, heavy metal makes this 3d8/19-20x4. It would weigh 68 pounds.
