So me and a friend of mine like to challenge eachother.
the curent challenge is acane caster vs arcane caster. (all levels must be an arcane caster level)
so i decided to be a jerk and be a master of dispelling.

I am playing an Illumean (Krau and Nean)
5 Focused wizard (abjuration)/5 Archmage/10 Master Specialist

Any tips on how to improve this badass? what feats or other tricks i should take along
all books availble and web pages too (not homebrew)

With a (Cloistered) Cleric dip plus a way to get +2 caster level you can take Divine Defiance. Then you can just grab additional Turn Undead attempts with items and counterspell your opponents' spells as an immediate action.

CLoistered cleric is not an arcane caster

Nonetheless, a Cleric dip is potentially a great addition to any character (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=2773.0), the loss of a single caster level doesn't really hurt if you still get 9ths and counterspelling as an immediate action is sooo better than having to prepare an action to do it (blowing most of your chances to actually cast anything during your turn) that I simply had to point it out.

Also, the cleric dip can give you the Inquisition domain, which gives +4 to dispel checks.

Rereading the OP I notice that all the levels must be from arcane caster classes. I think you can get around that by dipping Sha'ir (from Dragon Compendium) instead of Cleric, since Sha'ir are both arcane and divine spellcasters.

Whoops, I missed that line too. I still know of a way to get Inquisitor domain for the +4, though.

Take Southern Magician and Arcane Disciple (Inquisitor). This doesn't give you the domain power we're looking for, but it gives you Zone of Truth as a 2nd level spell (which you can make divine using Southern Magician).
With the above, enter the Church Inquisitor prestige class. It advances your casting (since your arcane casting class is also your divine casting class, thanks to Southern Magician). It also gives you the Inquisitor domain fully, complete with its domain power of +4 to dispel checks (and at this point, you can now retrain Arcane Disciple into something more useful, since you actually have the domain now).

Not sure if a similar trick for Competition or Purification domains exists.

Anything that increases your CL would increase your dispel check. So start with an Orange ioun stone, use Consumptive Field powered by SM3 (for a bunch of SM1 creatures), maybe arcane thesis (whatever variant of Dispel you're using), Ring of Arcane Might, Create Magic Tattoo.

Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil feom CArc is very solid at helping your abjurations and saying nope to your opponent's spells.

(If you're both pre-buffing, a Sudden Quickened Kaleidoscopic Doom to open things off could make for an amusingly short end to the duel)

It would be simpler to trade your 5th level bonus feat for domain power (Domain Granted power ACF from Complete Champion).

I would recommend grabbing Precocious Apprentice, dropping 3 level of wizard and 3 levels of Archmage and grabbing 6 levels of Initiate of the Seven Fold Veil. This gives you the wonderful Indigo Veil that stops all magic against you unless they just so happen to have a daylight spell prepared (or if you guys are playing with disjunction, but why any one would is beyond me) which can be activated as an immediate action (4 times per day to boot!). You also get a +4 bonus to dispel abjuration effects (even better for you) and a bonus to resist your abjuration being dispelled in case your opponent decides to try and copy you.

You don't need all the levels in archmage and wizard. If you go wizard 3/master specialist 10/archmage 1, you still get mastery of counterspelling and major school esoterica. However, the major abjuration ability isn't that useful in a duel (unless you're buffing summons or something), so you can go wizard 3/master specialist 7/initiate of the sevenfold veil 7/archmage 1/sacred exorcist 1/church inquisitor 1 (with the Southern Magician trick).

Sacred Exorcist gets you get turn undead, for Divine Defiance. IotSV requirements are fairly steep, but overlap with archmage, and you get them for free from master specialist. Yay for efficiency!

This will get you +7 on dispel checks, and another +4 versus abjurations. In addition, your own abjurations get +7 to resist being dispelled, anything you counter is sent back at the caster, and you can counter or raise a warding as an immediate action.

You can do both. Domain Granted Power for Competition or Purification, listed trick for Inquisitior.

Take the Domain Granted Power ACF from Complete Champion and you can pick up the Inquisitor domain power without having to dip into any other class. The cost is a bonus feat.

The Elven Spell Lore feat (PH2) also gives a +2 bonus on dispel checks.

EDIT: Soultouched Spellcasting from MoI also gives a +1 bonus on dispel checks (more if you have another source of essentia besides the feat).
The 'Silent Method' regional feat from Dragon Magazine 319 (p60) also gives a +2 on dispel checks.
