For any Beatles fans around, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, a sentimental album for many (including myself) was released forty years ago today (01 June 2007). In the 37 minutes since it has been 01 June, I have been listening to the album non-stop.

Yay Sgt. Pepper! I'll listen to it tomorrow, as it is still the 31st where I live.

Well, then!

Paul is Dead

Personally, I think we should honor their magnum opus by not butchering it with bad covers. I'm looking at you American Idol, BBC and their
tribute 40th anniversary' album.

Paul is turning over in his grave. :smallwink:

Aye. I suppose Mark David Chapman is having seizures in his straitjacket, then, too.

*shrug* No one cares. He's a moron with bad taste in books. :smallamused:

Come, now, Salinger isn't that bad.

We're Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, we hoped you have enjoyed the show!

Great album, but I always thought the White Album was their magnum opus?
Not that I like it better, it's just what Rolling Stone tells me ...

So now it was sixty years ago today, that Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play. :smallamused: Happy birthday to the one and only Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band!

What about Shatner's version of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"? Can I listen to that?

The girl....with....kaleidoscope...eyes.

(Whoa...spelled kaleidoscope correctly on the first try!)

*sings*

I read the news today, oh boy...

My personal favorite is Rubber Soul. Sgt. Pepper is up there, though.

William Shatner made a cover of "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds?"
*Glee*
*realizes it probably sucks*
*sad*
But I must say, "A Day In The Life" is awesome, as is the rest of the album.

Generally, I'll put A Day in the Life on repeat and listen to it while I do mundane things like video games and web-surfing. It's like background music to me.

Actually, it's really funny.

But yeah, Sgt. Pepper's probably my favorite Beatles album. I've gotta listen to that later.

Woo hoo! Spread the Beatles cheer!
