Switching Energy Resistance type around?

Hey Playgrounders,

Anyone know a way (3.X not PF) to switch one type of energy resistance to a different type, temporarily or permanently? No third party, Dragon Magazine, or Dragon Compendium please.

I'm not sure there is a way to swap the type of an existing Energy Resistance but the Spellthief from the Complete Adventurer can steal an opponent's Energy Resistance at 3rd level. Generally opponents have resistance to the type of energy damage they deal so it would be effective during that fight.

This will not help, probably, but if you are unable to swap between different energy resistence amulets and the kind, warlocks have an invocation that grants any energy resistance equal to his warlock caster level, switchable at will. Ignore the pyre, if it can help... ^^

An eternal wand of Resist Energy gives you a 30 min. resistance 10 from acid, cold, electricity, fire, or sonic, twice per day. Add some metamagic reduction shenanigans with the feat Metamagic Spell Trigger, and you could even cast it swifted.

A little more farfetched option would be something involving the class Chameleon and his ability to swap feats at start of the day, the feat Inured to Energy and some way to gain energy resistance.
