Greeting, fellow gamers. Long time player, first time poster. I am working on my annual Christmas game, a one-shot involving 4-6 lvl 16 characters. My idea for the game is Jack Frost is pissed and has managed to capture The North Pole by crating a bubble where the elemental plane of Ice has encased the North Pole, freezing Santa and his retinue. Everything is pretty solid, but I thought I'd ask for ideas on Jack himself. I'm currently picturing Jack astride an appropriately leveled white dragon, but I haven't decided on what to do with Jack himself. Current thoughts are a leveled frost giant with some innate abilities. He needs to hit hard, be super-ass cold, and have crazy ice skills. Your description made me think of the Xixecal, but that's a bit too high on the CR scale...

Winterhaunt from Frostburn... Uses an Iceheart for entry... Full caster with melee abilities... Look at it and see if you can't make that work for a Jack Frost character.

Ice elementals are in manual of the planes. They're begging to be minions, although probably not what you want for Jack himself to be, unless you hook one up with class levels. Although that could work too, maybe a cold-based sorcerer, warlock, or druid. A jester would be a good play on the naughty fairy tale creature too, it's basically like a bard that debuffs more than buffs. Jester is found in Dragon Annual.

At will: Fog Cloud, Gust of Wind, Coldball, Ice Storm, Wall of Ice. 3/day: Teleport, Chain Lightning, Control Weather. Caster level is 16. Saves are charisma based.

Summon Ice Elemental
Once per day, a Jotun can summon 2d10 small, 2d6 medium or 2d4 large ice paraelementals

Deflection
A Jotun adds its charisma bonus to its AC as a deflection bonus

Not an idea for Jack himself, but. you could modify a devil, change its alignment to LN and bring in Krampus as an ally for the party. After all, Santa and Krampus are partners, with Santa rewarding good children and Krampus punishing thr bad ones. Only makes sense that Krampus. would want to help free Santa so they can continue their work
