I tried to post my "hello" post in the "new members say hello here" thread

I tried posting a thread with pics of an RPG I've semi-created only to get a message stating that I cannot post pics until I've made 10 posts. I tried to post in what I thought was a newcomers posting only to be told to post "hello" posts to the "new members say hello here" thread only to find that thread is closed and I could't post there either. If someone could take a noob under their wing a little here so I can make some posts that would be awesome!

The reason you aren't allowed to post pictures until ten posts is spam is an issue on this forum and it can help deal with spambots. If you want to say hello check this thread here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?407605-Hello-and-Welcome-New-Members-Thread-12).
