After what feels like forever the day of your Genin Team Assignment has come. The hours of dry lectures and mind-numbing E-Rank missions with your Team-Of-The-Day are finally over. You have all passed your Practical Assessments and Theoretical Examinations, as well as confirming accreditation in your Supplemental Training, and come out the other side as Elite graduates. The dream of every Academy student: Personal tutelage under a jonin, the most skilled shinobi of Konoha.

Around you others from your graduating class chatter amongst themselves theorizing who they think they'll be teamed up with and who will be teaching them. At one point or another you've met each of these people in the shared torture that is the mandatory E-Rank Mission, though you may or may not have ever spoken more than a dozen words to them during that time.

As the clock on the wall finally ticks over to 10AM the door quietly opens long enough for a familiar chunin, Fire-Specialist Instructor and Sixth Year Mission Overseer Danzako Otabane, to enter. The soft clack as the door closes catches several people's attention and the room quickly grows silent as a wave of anticipation begins to build. Reaching the podium at the front of the briefing room the man sets down a stack of folders and looks around the room to confirm he has everyone's attention.

"Good morning, Genin. Though you have already been informed I would like to personally congratulate you all on not just succeeding but excelling in your Assessment Exams. As of today you are proud shinobi of Konoha and will protect and represent your village on the larger world stage. And, more importantly, you will never again be subjected to the terror that is Tora."

The man smirks at the joke and enjoys the occasional chuckles, and more than one shudder, from his audience. Picking up the first folder he opens it and continues. "Now then, let's get to why you're all here. Genin Team assignments. Team One, under-"

One by one he calls out team and sensei assignments, handing over a folder to each person as he does so. Finally he reaches yours.

"Team Twelve, under Jonin-Sensei Wen Aito. Aburame Hoshi, Sayana Tazakara, Kisada Taichi."

Upon being handed the thin folder you find dossiers on your new team and sensei. Being shinobi the information is understandably sparse, largely a visual aid for identifying your squad mates by the attached picture. The rest of the folder is largely clerical; forms that need to be filled out for things varying from establishing a line of credit with the Mission Reimbursement Office to updating your will.

While you read through the folder the last two teams are called out and with a final congratulations Otabane leaves the room and the jonin begin filtering in one at a time to collect their charges or leave instructions on where and when to meet. After a while the jonin of Team Eleven leaves with his students and your eyes all move to the door as what can only be your sensei, Wen Aito, enters. Somewhat tall and in his mid-twenties, auburn hair slightly conceals the right side of his face. Eschewing the traditional vest he wears a black sleeveless mesh shirt and loose pants. A series of cloth wrappings seem to form a belt and sash before wrapping around his left arm and hand, concealing it entirely.

"Team Twelve: Aburame, Sayana, Kisada." Nodding more to himself than to the named individuals he tosses a scroll to each of you. "We meet at 1PM, be geared as though departing for a three-day mission. Open the scroll and activate the fuin array when you're ready."

You have been given your meeting time. You have a little over two hours before then. If you do something with another player feel free to continue posting with each other until you need my input. Once everyone is ready post that you are activating the scroll.

Taichi

Taichi catches the scroll in one oversized hand and tucks it into a belt pouch. It would take a while to get equipped, and he wanted to learn a bit more about his teammates. He had met them before of course, and knew a bit of their reputation (the Academy was only so big, after all), but it would be a good idea to have an actual talk with the others first. They were going to be a team from now on, and team members needed to be able to trust each other, and know each other's strengths and weaknesses. The ones who made these assignments took such things into consideration, of course, but it was up to the team to make it happen.

Sayana Tazakara was supposed to be some kind of infiltrator, he knew. Taichi could certainly believe it too - she was astoundingly attractive, with a personality to match. Her genjutusu grades were top-notch, unlike Taichi's merely average ones. Unfortunately, she seemed like a one solid punch could take her down. She could take a hit, obviously, but it always seemed like she more rolled with blows rather than Taichi's preferred method of simply absorbing it and hitting back harder. That was probably why they had been assigned to the same team though. She could talk or genjutsu their way through social situations, and Taichi woul dbe able to spring into action when the time for subtlety was over.

Aburame Hoshi, another super-quiet, creepy-as-hell bug boy with a superiority complex. It was likely he was there to provide the stealthy aspect that Taichi and Tazakara lacked. He was at least a bit less fragile than Tazakara, it seemed, though Taichi had never seen him lift anything heavier than a book either. The lowland clans all certainly seemed to have that in common - lots of brainiacs and cunning planners, but not a single one with a serious work ethic or the willingness to put in a day's labor with their hands. Still, it would be nice to have the quiet genius as back-up whenever things went wrong, as they undoubtedly would.

"Tazakara, Aburame. Looks like we'll be together for a time. I'm looking forward to it."

Sayana
With grace and unerring accuracy, she snatches the scroll out of the air and quietly slides it away into a pouch. With a flourish she opens her umbrella and rests it upon her shoulder, then turn to Taichi, every movement seemingly designed to be graceful and delicate, and she fixes him with her gaze, observant and warm. She knew that Taichi probably considered her less than ideal for a fight, while it was known that Hoshi would not like bug jokes. She was going to make a good first impression on them to prove that she is worthy of being on the team, and it would be simply a black mark on her reputation if she didn't know how to do this and start off on the right foot.

She would need to convince them that she was useful and that they could trust her. Best start with a smile, then open with:
"Greetings Kisada-san. I am looking forward to it as well. There is much that can be learned from one another as well as our sensei, and I hope that we can find a way to facilitate that to the best of our abilities. I've heard of your combat ability and hope that it will protect Konoha well."
She was raised proper and therefore always referred to people with honorifics. Others may be informal, but unlike them she made the effort! Why take the risk of causing offense? She smoothly turns to Hoshi, remaining poised all the while
"Greetings to you as well, Aburame-san. You as well as your clan is well known for their tactical acumen. I hope that you live up to their reputation."
She had nothing against him using bugs. It did not matter the weapon a ninja used, only how they used it, and the Aburame were good at using what they had.

Hoshi
Hoshi grabbed the scroll and followed the teammate's example - hid it in some of his numerous pouches. Being himself, he didn't show much emotion concerning the whole Assessment Exams and the long wait. Or maybe, that was just his giant protective glasses, hiding his emotions. Anyway, the guy looked calm, yet somewhat agitated buzzing near him could've give him away - the serenity was only the face, that he wore. He nodded back, when adressed by his companions.
- Kisada-san, Tazahara san. Mine is the pleasure. Compare notes, we should - he continued with the distinctive "Aburame accent" - the twisted word order, short sentences, all that. - " Our Sensei? Familiar anyone?"

OOC: By the way, does Hoshi know anything about our sensei? The routine check for Expertise(whatever relevant) is 19

Most non-ANBU Jonin are well known by reputation if nothing else. Specifics of their strengths and abilities are shrouded in mystery and misdirection, but generalities are known like 'Copycat Kakashi, Ninja of a Thousand Jutsu' and 'Tsunade the Slug Princess, Legendary Sucker and Medical Genius of the Konoha Sannin'. Wen Aito isn't nearly as well known as either of those names but he isn't a complete unknown either. Between the dossier which has some specific(though uninteresting, such as age and height) information and your own overhearing of rumors and stories(some young ninja read bingo book entries of ninja from their own village like celebrity gossip articles) you know the following information:

http://i.imgur.com/sCEjTlS.jpg

Name: Wen Aito
Rank: Jonin
Age: 23
Specialty: Fuinjutsu
Signature Skill: Fuinsho, 'Sealed Palm'. Though none of you have personally seen it demonstrated most stories of Wen Aito in combat involve a fighting style visually similar to the Hyuuga's 'Jyuken', although with wildly different results. The most common thread of these stories involves a series of seemingly ineffective palm strikes, followed moments later by a series of explosions ripping the unfortunate foe apart.

Clan: The Aito clan are survivors of the fall of Uzushiogakure, similar to the Uzumaki clan. Like most prominent clans from that lost village they are known for producing Sealmasters. They are considered a 'moderate' clan within Konoha, respected and with a fair degree of collective wealth but little political power.

Taichi

Taichi shrugs his boulder-shoulders. "I don't know anything more about him than what's in the dossier and some rumors."

He turns his attention to the mission at hand. "We'll need general-purpose gear, I guess. We're probably going to be tested on skills and teamwork, to make sure that we actually make a coherent team."

"Yes, that sounds like a good plan, Taichi-San. For that I suggest we actually work on that and work out how we're going to work together the best we can....for example, callsigns over the radio, passwords to speak in case we suspect anyone is an imposter, who does what, many such things like that. Probably things to work out later, but still, it wouldn't hurt to get a general plan of how we work going and how exactly our individual skills will form into an overall strategy."

Hoshi nodded affirmatively, as he listened to Sayana. - Wise is, what you say, Tazakara-san. - he said, after she finished. - Share the external part of our techings, we should, to be a good team, I also think. Start, I will, if no objections. - he paused for a second or two, and (assuming, nobody interrupted him), continued:
- A Doton user, I am. I use the earth to sneak and to sense, to swim through it and sting unsuspected. Poisons are on my senbon, and some heavy-hitting explosive tags Ia can plant - modified them myself, I did - the last phrase he said with a clear note of pride on his voice. He paused again, as if wondering, should he continue, and finally decided, that he needed to share some more of the information.
- Allies, I have with me. Perceptive they are, much better then we, humans. Stitch you wounds they can with their gooey secretions, and kick you back in the action with a well placed bite where it hurts. - another pause - - Joking, I am. Though my allies can help you, if you get tired - a special drug they produce. Don't overuse it, though. Finished I am. Questions?
