BASED ON Pathfinder rules, I'm interested in starting a think-tank regarding the combination of 2 - 4 monsters of different types to produce a ... to start with, CR 6 encounter. These monsters must have a reason to be working mutually or at least commensally without preying on each other.
The interaction between the monsters and PCs Doesnt need to end in bloodshed ... but it still must represent a challenge. The combined might of the creatures should hopefully reflect a challenge greater than the CR 6 their theoretical combination represents. Environmental complexities are more than welcome and this indeed may justify why the monsters are met at the same time.
This may become a very useful imagination tool for all DMs out there. Each combo can be discussed.
