I am currently working on an E6 campaign with some significant overhauls. One of the concepts I am introducing is an archetype which acts like a prestige class or a second class. These are meant to balance the issues between combat styles and allow players to create iconic characters without relying on the grab bag which is D&D.

As a note, the campaign rules are in the first spoiler and the archetypes I have so far are in the second. What I am looking for is iconic archetypes and what general abilities you think they should get. (You don't need to look at the campaign rules, but they help to show the balance point of the game).

Erasa is a campaign setting built within the E6 D&D setting, but with additional restrictions. The only available classes are the Tier 4 classes, and the game eliminates prestige classes. The available classes are the Elementalist (Warmage with some changes), Mage (Dragonfire Adept and Warlock Invocations pooled, choose either one at start), Ranger (Adds Bane property to weapons attacking favored enemies), Barbarian, Paladin (1d4 round recharge on smite, smite usable on any attack), Rogue (gets SA feats for free), Marshal (gets Dragon Shaman auras) and Hexblade (Curses are per encounter instead of per day).

Each player picks an archetype at level 1, which grants benefits through level 6.

The only playable race is Human, as there are no other sentient species native to the world. Humans can use their extra feat at level 1 to become a mutant (D20 future), starting with a single mutation point and gaining an additional mutation point at each level. At epic levels they can gain 3 mutation points use a feat, and they can always gain mutation points by picking negative mutations.
