Items for an 8th level shadow adept

Hello playground I am trying to join a game and am making a tiefling wizard at the moment. The starting level is 8, however due to level adjustment I will be at level 7, though with luck being an outsider will have its benefits in this game. The character concept is that Nin (The tiefling wizard) one day grew tired of people looking at him because of his appearance as evil, and so turned to his diabolic powers inside of himself and began to be what people saw him as. Why fight it when people only saw you as a monster. And so with the help of his father he discovered a different source for magic, a much darker and more primal form, the shadow weave. Using the shadow weave he bent things to his will, and weakened all who opposed him. While he wasn't evil, he was sick of people treating him as if he was so those who did he unleashed all of his horrors on, while those who left him alone and treated him as a person he was kind to.

Basically he is a Wizard 3/Master specialist 3/Shadow adept 1 at the moment, I plan on taking a total of 7 levels of master specialist, and all 10 of shadow adept for the end game. He focuses on Enchantment, Illusion, and necromancy spells, with his specialty being illusions (unleashing peoples darkest fears on them). However as I have never built this kind of character before I was wondering with WBL of a 8th level character what should I get for him?
