OK, I've got a conjurer wizard5/darkfire adept (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/prestige-classes/other-paizo/c-d/darkfire-adept)4 character. I knew I would be taking a 1 caster level hit, but I liked the standard action summons from Sacred Summons (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/sacred-summons)(character is LE), as well as the spammable Unholy Blight+. I like Breaching, but losing another caster level/spell level was making me seriously question going any further, but I digress.

The question is, should I just change him to Arcanist (Occultist Archetype). DM is cool with it if I want to.

The archetype, for those who do not know, allows a standard action Summon Monster X SLA at 1 Arcane Reservoir pool point per spell level to the max of the highest level spell you can cast. This gives at least 4 standard action summons of my highest level when combined with Consume Spells.

I would change the way I get standard action summons, and lose:
a few rounds a day off of my summons,
a useless acid attack,
change the way I get standard action summons,
and not get the Unholy Blight+ effect,
I have have slightly less spells per day, but that is largely made up for by Summoners Focus, and
The Big One, and only reason I haven't happily jumped on board the Arcanist train and never looked back, I would have less potential spells prepared (7/6/6/4 with Wizard and 5/4/3/2 with Arcanist) with the real kicker being that at every new spell level I only get 1 spell prepared of that spell level. Now Summoner's Focus will help that a bit, as I don't need to prep my highest level summon, and need to prep less summons in general, but I'm not sure if that's enough.

I am planning on taking the quick study exploit, so I can swap with a full round action at the cost of a pool point, and extra reservoir feat since this build is so arcane reservoir intensive

I can also get a few more spells prepared with feats, but that would get expensive fast in terms of feat consumption.

I gain the tactical flexibility of the Arcanist, and the coolness of the various exploits, as well as the ability to use the standard action summon ability on a wider range of targets.

Which build would all of you use? If you need or want further build info I can give it, but I figured I would just outline the main points.

Secondary Question: How does Planned Spontaneity (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/planned-spontaneity) work with Arcanist? I have it now, but I'm not sure how it would work with Arcanist. Would it allow me to simply prep 3 spells extra a day, since consumed slots are different from prepared slots for Arcanist? If so, wow, that's good.
