I have a level two necromancer specialist with a skeletal minion in a arena gladiator player vs player type game. So he will gets to fight against crazy powerful jumping 4 attack totemists, flying invisible caster's, and other types of powerful player vs player builds, like tiny impossible to hit crossbow wielding reptiles and invisible barbarians, and tough dwarf clerics.
I can retrain just about anything about him. We get 32 point buy, and the the main restrictions we have is that it's E6, and items creation feats are banned. Also, I want him to be a srd only character. So that restricts his options somewhat. For a complete list of the rules see here (https://www.rpgcrossing.com/showthread.php?t=152381).

I feel like one of his main advantages is that his access to spells and scrolls gives him a lot of flexibility and unpredictability when preparing to fight a specific combatant.

So far color spray has been my most powerful weapon, but of course some may be immune to it, and at level 6 it won't be so useful.

Any suggestions, feats, items or spells ideas?

Well web is also kind of awesome until people have items of freedom of movement.(and you get it at level 3)
The nauseating cloud is also pretty good (fog+ nausea) and needs another specific magic item to counter partially.
One other good thing is if you succeed in making a zombie use a magic item for having one more spell in a battle.

Well, if you can make an opponent fail a save to a 1st level spell, here's some 2nd and 3rds:
Web, Glitterdust, Stinking Cloud.

Of note is that your skeletal minion is immune to Stinking Cloud, and Glitterdust only blinds those caught in it when it goes off (plus it has a small area).

You should consider template stacking, as in E6 it just lowers the amount of points you get.

A good example would be a half-dragon gray elf, you get +6 str, +2 dex +4 int +2 cha and 10 points, which you can use to pump your base int to 16 and thus get these final stats: Str 14 dex 12 con 8 wis 8 int 20 cha 10. In addition, you have NA 4, great for E6, bite and claws, immunity to an element, as well as to poison and sleep, alter self cheese(do it moderately, though), and the panic button 6d8 breath, which is obnoxiously strong at E6, where having high health is not so easy, so it'll probably take 40% of a common warrior-type's health at level 6.

Edit: Just a tip, if you go out of D&D, add effigy and incarnate construct before adding any other templates over it, that makes it a -1 LA for anything that is put later.

No templates, No Effigie, No lycanthropy allowed.

That's a problem then, necromancers who focus on minions have a hard time on SRD only, if at least you could get dread necromancer, it would be a lot better than the standard wizard.

An e6 wizard doesn't even get animate dead does it? Pretty sad necromancer.

Well, SRD only cuts out Fell Drain for no-save killing. Maybe get a scroll of PAO and turn your minion into a skeletal titan? Runs into E6 spell restrictions though, need to call a midguard dwarf to craft it for you, still, wizard 6, it's within your ability to do.

The best bet I think you have are scrolls. An artificer can make a scroll of Enervation and you can hold a metamagic rod. That's 1d4*1.5, so 1-6 negative levels. Still not a kill shot.

Yeah, I am thinking stacked explosive runes. Have a disposable minion run up to the enemy with them and read.

Call it the Achmed strategy. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gZ6-6RbSEg)

Keep in mind that Color Spray has the [Pattern] tag, so it affects all who SEE the cone, not just those who are in it. Also keep in mind that Undead are immune to Color Spray, so you don't have to tell them to cover their eyes.
