(Apologies if this has been asked before.) The "Monsters by CR" PDF lists the XP along with CR. The XP numbers do not match those given in the MM.

It looks like CRs 20-24 were reassigned XP values with the PDF, but CR 30 is (and CRs 0-19 are) the same in both.

Examples (you can check by finding the corresponding Ancient Dragon on pages 87-100 of the MM):

CR 20: 24,500 in MM but 25,000 in PDF (White)
CR 21: 27,500 in MM but 33,000 in PDF (Black)
CR 22: 30,000 in MM but 41,000 in PDF (Green)
CR 23: 32,500 in MM but 50,000 in PDF (Blue)
CR 24: 36,500 in MM but 62,000 in PDF (Red)

CR 30: 155,000 in both... ! ?

Is there any explanation for this discrepancy? And is it fair to say the PDF is correct and the MM is incorrect (because, oddly, the PHB errata says that any discrepancies in stat blocks are resolved by referring to the MM stat block, which would seem to imply that the DMG and PDF are wrong)?

AFB, but from what I remember the ancient dragons' XP in the MM were not the same as in the DMG's XP by CR table.

I guess the PDF is correcting it.

XP for many higher CR monsters especially dragons changed with the MM Errata.

XP for many higher CR monsters especially dragons changed with the MM Errata.

I did a quick search and I didn't find the MM errata. I did find the PHB errata which says: "If in doubt, the Monster Manual version of a creature’s stat block is authoritative." This seems to imply that the MM is correct and the PDF and the DMG are wrong.

I do think you're right though, but that doesn't agree with what I'm reading.
