So this came up during our recent game session and none of us knew the answer, nor was our googlefu strong enough.
If a creature is grappling a pc, then uses a special ability to polymorph into a new form is the pc still grappled?
If so, why(or why not)?

Unfortunately there's been no official ruling on this yet. I would say that it comes down to a GM call depending on what the player can shift into, e.g. a tiny viper.
RAW they would still be grappled since nothing about polymorph removes or counteracts that condition, yet the Tetori's Form Lock ability suggests to me that polymorphing out of a grapple could at least be a possibility.

Yes. Nothing in the Polymorph spell says that it breaks a grapple, and nothing under the Grapple rules says that it is broken by polymorphing. Thus, grappling continues.

Ah well, that's about what I had figured.
It just feels...unclean? Like there should be a percent chance of maintaining or something like that.
