They are probably the least important characters in the comic. They only count because of their numbers. Their outfits and even their faces show so little diversity that it becomes impossible to tell Hobgoblin Warrior #1 from Hobgoblin Warrior from Strip #433, Panel 3, may he rest in peace. One of them will get their time to shine. This is the Ultimate OOTS Cookie Cutter Nameless Soldier Tournament!

Do I really need to say any more at this point? You know these candidates as well as I do! In fact, while you're voting, why not also share a link to your favorite hobgoblin or wight moment, to help refresh everyone's mind?

Voting happens by embedding the appropriate portrait in your post, or by naming the nameless contestant of your choice. In case of a tie the last vote that was cast before the deadline determines the winner.

This match will run until the night of Friday the 8th upon Saturday the 9th of January, 00:00 GMT. And then we'll finally know who will be crowned the ultimate nobody! Mouhahahahaha!!!

Like their mistress, the wights never had enough brain cells to comprehend that they weren't truly part of the big picture. The hobgoblins at least have that much going for them--they are aware of their mediocrity and not afraid to admit it.

But first...

I tallied the total number of votes cast in every round of the tournament, and this is what the numbers look like:
Pool Phase week 1: 18
Pool Phase week 2: 28
Quarter finals week 1: 17
Quarter finals week 2: 19
Semi-finals: 21
3th place: 21
Finals: 19

All rounds get about the same number of votes, with one clear outlier, the second week of the pool phase. That week was also the only time someone came in to vote for one match without naming a contestant from the other one. Pool B got 27 votes that week, pool D got 28.

The winner of pool D was from there on destined for greatness, and made it to the finals. And there he won with a difference of a single vote, 10-9. The Ultimate OOTS Cookie Cutter Nameless Soldier is...

The wights get a well deserved second place, but they can't help but feel they might have been champions if they had just found the right shoes to stomp the competition with.

For fun and giggles, the total numbers of votes cast on the final four contestants over all rounds:
