Hey Folks!

A Friend of mine is having a shot at running his first game, and asked me to be a player in it. The group has 1 other experienced players and 2 new players. I was originally going to play a monk, but, we seem to lack a arcane caster and a healer. Instead I am thinking a Favored Soul Sorcerer, taking life domain. Would this be enough healing? My other plan would be Arcane Cleric, but, cleric doesn't fit the character concept much at all so would have to re-design the character.

Thanks for the input!

Twinned Cure Wounds. Enough said.

The only thing you miss out on in terms of healing is prayer of healing. Which is probably fine in a smaller party where the twinned cures can make up for that easily enough.

Excellent, I thought it would be viable. Seems to have as much healing as non specialised bards, and druids

I play one in a game I play in.

The group has a wizard, fighter, bard and my self.

I have been more then enough healing. I usually only spend about 1-3 spells per fight on healing. We are low level though, we just hit 3rd.

I mean, as long as you have a decent control wizard or sorcerer, you don't need any kind of healer at all. So yes.

I'm in a party of 8 and with nothing but one bard and one paladin for healing, and I (the bard) have only really used healing word very occasionally and the paladin has only ever used her lay on hands.

That said, we just fought a dragon turtle the other day and I was very glad I had a staff of healing. We probably could have beaten it without the staff and without any deaths, but it would have been close.
