My IRL playgroup and I are playing through an AP and our DM is endlessly frustrated that none of the spellbooks we're collecting as loot have any details about what spells are in them.
So everytime we sit to tally up loot there's at least one or two spellbooks he's got to stat out for us.

Made me wonder, what would the average wizard's spellbook look like at each level? Certainly with allt he auto-include spells in the game we could approximate what spells every wizard would need in their spellbook to be effective at a given level.

So maybe we make a list for each level of auto include spells for a basic wizard of that level so we know the bare minimum that wizard required to make it at that level.
(It occurs to me that the spellbooks we'll find are of dead wizards who didn't make it. In which case maybe we use the spellbook of a previous level, the level that wizard obviously survived to, and add dumb useless spells for the level the wizard died at.)

There were some prebuilt spellbooks in Ultimate Magic (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/spellbooks).
