The man so obstinately immortal that he actually had to have a website (http://www.abevigoda.com/) confirming his alive status, has finally passed on.

We have lost a great and funny actor. Rest In Peace.

Since it's obvious the man had something on the Grim Reaper, I wouldn't be surprised if he sat up during the funeral, punched out the undertaker and asked if someone made his usual reservation for after a death-hoax.

So apparently he *has* done something other than appear on Conan. Because I never really got why everyone seemed to know the guy.

I think my personal favorite was from Cannaonball Run II, which was heavily influenced by The Godfather.

As a nerdy point of interest, he did play the aging gangster Salvadore in Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.
