If I want to bring a recruitment thread on the Finding Players board up to the front page, is there an accepted time frame that you should wait? Like, if there has been no activity on the recruitment page for a week, is it in bad form to bump it if you don't have anything new to add, but you don't want the page to be lost to the ether?

Yes, it is bad. If a thread has not garnered enough interest, the acceptable practice is to let it be. Keeping it in the front page artificially is frowned upon by the mods, both under the double posting and the minor spam rules.

Yours,

Grey WolfSheriff: This exactly. There is a "Currently Seeking Players" thread pinned at the top of the forum, which you can post in to try to garner some interest.
