How would you adjudicate this as a DM, in your game?

Sassy the 150# (68kg) sniper is hiding alone in a tree at full leafage, 45' away from the enemy and 30' up. The enemy, having taken fire from Sassy, responds by closing the distance sufficiently to cast Web, centered as closely as possible around Sassy's location within the tree. Sassy succeeds in the REF save and wishes to jump down to the ground, accepting the possibility of some falling damage.

What happens? How many STR checks, or Escape Artist checks, would you require? Can Sassy's plan succeed at all?

Entangled characters can act just fine, even move(with a hell of a penalty though), so just let her fall normally.

Reviewed the spell, I'd assume a person in that situation would only really be considered falling once she left the area, so make the tests, if she manages to leave, she takes the damage only from the area outside the spell, as the web stops the gravity momentum.

RAW a REF save doesn't move your character from its original square. Sassy is still entangled as per Web's spell description. He could move down through the web half speed, can't run or charge. Once he gets to the edge of the area of effect he can drop or fall down the last 10', or move to another branch with a climb check.
