So, me and a couple friends managed to listen to the Hamilton soundtrack, and now we want to make a campaign where some characters want to do the whole revolution thing in an established campaign setting. So I need help:

-Which setting? I'm leaning towards Eberron, but Greyhawk is always nice.
-Who should they be revolting against? What specific governments?
-Where should they be?

At this point it's mostly a thought exercise, but any help that you can give is nice.

You might consider looking into an adaptation of the Birthright campaign setting, which involves the PCs in much larger-scale political maneuverings.

Can't answer your question directly, but as an aside: look up the Black Flag anarchy options. Fun info and even some feats and things for exactly this kind of campaign.

It's pathfinder, but the whole last adventure path was a revolution.

Also in the Pathfinder Campaign Setting, Galt is a country that is plagued by repetitive revolutions. You'd have to be crazy to rule Galt though, before you know it, it's your turn at the guillotine!
