So our group just finished the Iron Gods AP and we've made the sublime choice to keep playing where no character has gone before. We'll be cracking open the Outer Worlds book and homebrewing expansions to the Technology Guide in our quest beyond the stars.
All this sword&sorcery in space has my wondering though, how many of the neat tricks our most iconic fictional spacefaring craft can perform can be replicated with MAGIC?!?

Teleporters, communicators, warp drive, shields, shuttles, phasers? Lightsabers, Force pushes, Death Star planet destroying beams, and their natural enemy the targeting system? Stuff that's not from these two iconic franchises that's just as cool?
Ultimately I'll be leaning more towards Trek than Wars for ideas for our game but let it not be said that I didn't give ear to all spells as replacements for scifi suggestions equally.

So Playground, can we build ourselves a Starship Enterprise, Millenium Falcon, Deep Space Nine, or even a Death Star using magic in place of fictional technology?

Greater Teleport powered Transporter pads, Divination powered sensors, Wonderous items of Hero's Feast makes a good Replicator and major Image makes a really good holodeck. Weapon wise Nothing really works well to replicate Capitol ship Phasers and Photon torpodeos both of which have hundreds of thousands of Kilometers worth of range but the hand held ones work a lot like Disintigrate spells.

On the note of teleporters, doesn't the Teleport line of spells require a familiarity/view/memory of the place to be Teleported to?

Additionally, wouldn't a Magic Trap, or Magic Item of Teleport send the subject to wherever the original spell cast into the trap/item when it was created would/have sent them?

These (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?423026-Manapunk-Items) might help. Most of it is based around an item I made called Wonder Tomes, where I used low-level spells to make computers with perfect graphics, instant processing and infinite storage space.

Thanks, and your prosthetics section reminded me of this recent thread about a character compose almost entirely of spells (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?476553-The-Artificial-Man).

To address this first question, the spaceship in our campaign uses interplanetary teleport (http://www.archivesofnethys.com/SpellDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Interplanetary%20Telepo rt) as the basis of its arcane ftl engine. Requires nothing but a good idea of where you want to go.
