How many books will there be?

Hello everyone! I have some questions. How many books will there be in The Order of The Stick? I mean main books e.g. Blood Runs in the Family. Also, about how many more strips will there likely be?

This book plus the final book are remaining. As for the number of strips, Rich has said that it's whatever number he needs to tell the story. Blood Runs in the Family ran pretty long, we might have the same situation with the last two books.

I believe the Giant also has ideas floating around that could wind up being a third prequel book some day, but that is not set in stone at the moment.

Also, about how many more strips will there likely be?

The page-count (including bonus-strips, kickstarter stories, prequels, SSaDT and double/tripe/quadruple pages) alone is currently around 1800 already (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?338549-OOTS-By-Page-Count) - so I predict some 2500 pages worth of comic pages eventually. But as Kris pointed out: Rich will need as much pages as he needs.

And he stated in a Kickstarter interview that it would not be an Order of the Scribble prequel book, as their story is part of the main plot.

So fingers crossed for a Linear Guild prequel.

Just like another famous series, there will be 7 main books and a handful of extra ones for diehard fans.

However, this means that when they turn OOTS into a movie, they'll have to split the last one into 2 parts.
