View Full Version : Pathfinder multiple ray attacks and energy resist

Lets use scorching ray as an example. If I fire 3 rays at someone (and assuming all 3 hit), and the target had fire resist of 10, would it effect each ray?
Since each one is its own separate attack I would assume it would work just like DR would and negate 10 from each ray.

Yes, each ray is it's own separate instance of damage, and Energy resistance is subtraced from each of them.

As Sayt has said, Energy Resistance is applied against each separate attack the three rays are separate attacks even if they come from the same attack roll.

Now that is actually only true for D&D 3.5 and I believe Pathfinder (which you specified). Watch out for anything that is 3.0 because then energy resistance was per round...
