Blue Slaad's a similar problem to Werewolves/Vampires?

Blue Slaads have their attacks coated in Chaos Phage. Which turns an afflicted target into a Red/Green slaad over a period of days. There's nothing to imply the character is dead or loses any capabilities it had in life.

Is this just an oversight? Or am I reading too much into it?

You become a Green/Red Slaad
You set your previous character sheet on fire
Get the monster block for Green/Red Slaad
That is now your character

(Then you use Wish to bring your character sheet back from the fire)













or you know, you use a Cure Disease before it happens
