I think i just had an evilgasm.

I believe we call those calvigasms and I just had two of them.

OH...side note. Can anyone read Frazz (http://comics.com/comics/frazz/) and seriously tell me that Bill Watterson's not directly involved in some way?

It's a cool resource, but I have all the books already, and the online thing appears to be incomplete (at any rate, I failed to find some of my favorites, though it's possible they're still building the library, since most of the ones I saw were older).

Hmmm, Think that their would be enough support for a silly games thread? As so as I devise a mechanism for it, I'll make one Anyway!
Done! Overcomplicated..... Check it out anyway. Suggestions are appreciated!

Sorry. I'd join you, but I'm too busy bothering Rosalyn. :)

This is so cool...

Now I can finally find every incidence of napalm!

He has some repeats from the sabbaticals. Look up "nuclear." The first and last ones.

Of course, I have all the books, too. lol

JazzManJim - "Frazz" has always struck me as an attempt to create a sort of "older, reformed Calvin." I do think that the strip is heavily inspired by C&H.

And now, for some blatant fanboyism: Bill Waterson is my hero, and "Calvin & Hobbes" is the greatest comic strip of all time (Yes, I do mean "is."). Augh! Amzing, wonderful, fantastic! Genius!

Honestly, my eyes get all watery everytime I read the last strip, in "It's a Magical World." What a perfect, beautiful ending. Anyone else have that experience?

Wow, it doesn't get much cooler than that.

We bought my dad that anthology book for Christmas. Now I'm thinking maybe we should've saved the cash and just given him this website. :P

If only Bill Waterson discovered the joy of the webcomic....

Oh, baby. It's like a holiday gift basket full of sweet, sweet, Calviny goodness. The strip is one of my favorites--one of the last few actually decent newspaper strips every published, along with the Far Side--and I give Watterson mad pr0pz (forgive me) for his stance on refusing to let his work be reproduced for marketing purposes. If only he would revise his stance on comic books, he and I could live in peace forever...

Holy Hannah, there's strips in there I actually haven't seen yet! I thought I knew all there was to know...man, I want that complete edition so bad...lousy money...

Yay for comics with fine endings, I still have the final strips from Bloom County and Peanuts stored away in a scrapbook, awaiting the day I have a den or study worthy of putting them, framed, on the wall. What can I say, I'm a comics geek.

Now with music.

That music is oddly appropriate... :'( Maybe it's the whole "Short Person Finally Done With Great Trials" theme that fits. (Rosalyn?)

Mr. Waterson, [i]thank you!

[Edit: Ok I've been staring at the strip for about five minutes now. The chills haven't ceased. My eyes are fighting a losing battle with my eyelids, but I can't (or rather, I don't want to) move away from the computer.

Most any music enhances most any image or film, they say. I believe it.]
