What's your dm's most difficult puzzle to date?
Mine was the 8 queens puzzle
Before the party lies a massive chessboard. Eight queens line the sides. I also put traps on the board to make it more interesting while the players moved the pieces to the appropriate locations. It's even more fun when none of the players know chess.
Objective: get all the queens on the board so they don't threaten another queen.
Riddle/poem: Eight are the ladies on the board,
Eight bright ladies crown'd in war,
Each queen safe within her square
And none may threaten another from there.
Or come up with your own. But it took my guys a while to figure out and it was rather interesting.
