Magic assassin build

I want a assassin that use magic for attacking. I was thinking of going rouge assassin with eldritch blast or fire bolt. But I what to see if you fine people or the playground has any better builds for this kind of concept. The build has to be on line by 6 to 10. We roll for stats and we rerouting 1's. This character is going to be for the new ravanloft adventure so I don't know how high of lv we will get.

If you want ranged then a warlock 2 dip for eldritch blast is probably going to be your best bet. Do remember you can't apply sneak attack to ranged spell attacks though.

I know but the assassin's auto crit can be apply ed to any attack damage I do.
