Can people please post comics they find enjoyable to read that are updating currently? (Last update earlier than 1995... ;))

If there is already a list, please direct me to it? :)

Don't know of a list.

The ones I check besides this are:

http://www.nuklearpower.com (8-Bit Theater)
http://www.cad-comic.com (Ctrl-Alt-Del)
http://www.vgcats.com (VG Cats)

Squidi is going to be updating AMD soon:

http://www.squidi.net (A Modest Destiny)

There's also:

http://www.pvponline.com
http://www.penny-arcade.com

Though I don't like those as much, they are quite popular.

Ones on my Favorites that haven't been mentioned:

http://thunt.comicgen.com - Goblins: A Fantasy Story of Life Through Their Eyes. A darker, more socially satirical D&D comic than OotS, but still funny when it tries to be. A good read, with great artwork. However, you can count on the comic updating at least two or three days late every time, so don't get your hopes up on punctuality.

http://www.dominic-deegan.com - Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire. The only manga-style comic on the internet I can stand, mostly for the superb characters and (some of the) humor. Been getting overly campy and shock-factor-ish lately, mostly because the author seems to be trying to trump his last "OMG the world is ending" plot arc.

http://www.gigaville.com - The Last Days of FOXHOUND. One of my favorite parodies, the humor and plotting are both hit-or-miss, and the artwork is craptacular, but the author characterizes the insanity of his subjects superbly well. You probably won't know what's going on if you haven't played Metal Gear Solid, but...what am I saying? Go play Metal Gear Solid right now! He also almost never misses an update.

Alright, well the ones I was recently introduced to are Casey & Andy (http://www.galactanet.com/comic) and Irregular Webcomic (http://www.irregularwebcomic.net).

Oh and another one I think some of you may find interesting is Order of the Stick (http://www.giantitp.com/cgi-bin/GiantITP/ootscript). ;)

Bob and George (http://www.bobandgeorge.com) A daily webcomic about Megaman. It ROCKS!

Questionable Content (http://www.questionablecontent.net/) Very clever and witty dialogue mixed with some Indie Rock Humor, not bad...

Press Start to Play (http://www.pressstarttoplay.net/comic.php) Another gaming webcomic, hey, it's still good.

Chugworth Academy (http://www.chugworth.com/comic.php) Hot chicks and hilarity!

No Need for Bushido (http://www.noneedforbushido.com/index.php) For all you samurai fanboys

Least I Could Do (http://www.leasticoulddo.com/) Dirty Humor doesn't get much better, oh yeah, it's daily too!

Dr. McNinja (http://drmcninja.com/index.html) He's a Doctor, He's a Ninja, He's Irish. YESYESYES!

Errant Story (http://www.errantstory.com/) more serious but still really badass fantasy story

Sentimental Horde (http://www.sentimentalhorde.com/index.htm) A D&D Themed webcomic about the evil horde of villainous monsters... kinda...

Ctrl+Alt+Del (http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/comic.php) It's a good gaming comic. it is!

Oh, I read a lot. All of the times are in my time zone, sames as the Giant's, the US Eastern one.

Dominic Deegan, Oracle for Hire (dominic-deegan.com) updates every day at 3 am.

The Tao of Geek (tog.litazia.com) updates every day except Sunday morning.

WTF Comics (wtfcomics.com) updates... I dunno; if there's a regular schedule, I haven't figured it out yet, but then I don't pay much attention anyway and just check it fairly often.

Antihero for Hire (antiheroforhire.com) updates Mon-Wed-Fri.

El Goonish Shive (egscomics.com) updates Mon-Wed-Fri at midnight with occasional Sunday fillers and always a filler if an update is missed. I believe that Darkshive may be taking a short-ish break soon, so updates may be interupted for a while.

Goblins, A Fantasy Webcomic (thunt.comicgen.com) updates Sunday morning, but has been several days late fairly often lately. Only updates once a week, but it's a huge (like several page) comic.

Love Me Not (lovemenot.comicgen.com) updates... when it does. Once a week, usually Thursday.

No Room for Magic (noroomformagic.com) is new-ish, I think, but updates Tuesdays or Thursdays.

Penny and Aggie (pennyandaggie.com) updates Mon-Tues-Thurs-Fri.

Krakow (krakowstudios.com) updates several times a week.

Scandal Sheet (scandalsheet.comicgenesis.com) updates... not sure off the top of my head; several times a week.

Shonen-Ai Kudasai! (kudasai.stripspace.com) updates irregularly, I think. Yes, it is about a gay couple, but no it's not what it sounds like.

Straight Ahead--life's not always like that (straightahead.comicgenesis.com) updates Tuesdays.

The B-Movie Comic (bmoviecomic.com/#) updates Mondays and Thursdays.

Earthsong (earthsongsaga.com) updates regularly, but I'm new to it and can't think of the schedule for it.

There's actually two comics I read at Girl Genius Online Comics (girlgeniusonline.com). At the bottom of the page you'll see links. I believe the comic one's say something like "The Comic" and "The Advanced Class". Both are about the same character, but at different points in her storyline. Both update Mon-Wed-Fri.

Picatrix (picatrix.comicgen.com) is another new one for me, it updates most days.

The Seraph Inn (seraph-inn.com) I don't believe exactly has an exact updating schedule, but the author tells you on that homepage when the next upload will be. It's in the top left corner.

Friendly Hostility (friendlyhostility.com) updates Mon-Wed-Fri. By the same author who drew "Boy Meets Boy", this one's about a homosexual couple too--but unlike some of the ones I posted above you can't tell that by the title, so I thought I'd let ya know.

Yes, I do realize that I have a completely random taste in webcomics. Essentially I like pretty much all of the ones I've seen, and have been known to read them for a while even when I don't. I really do like all of these ones though (but if you asked me why I like "Picatrix" or "Love Me Not"... neither seem like something I would like), and that's every comic I read regularly except for OotS.

PBF. 'Nuff said. http://cheston.com/pbf/archive.html

Another good one is Spamusement
(http://spamusement.com/)

Spamusement doesn't update much anymore, but just between you and me, some of the guest comics in the forums are better than anything the guy who made the site's drawn (which is saying something). PBF is going through some changes, currently, and won't be fixed for a little while, but he has a cache for all of the comics.

Hm, most of the best ones are up already; These are ones I would personally recommend, in my dementia:

The Gods of Arr-kelaan (http://www.drunkduck.com/The_Gods_of_ArrKelaan/)
One of my faves: did a guest strip for this comic once,

Hellbound (http://www.hellboundcomic.com/)

Caveat Lector (Somewhat NSFW) (http://www.caveat-lector.com/comic.php)
Pedantia at it's finest

8-Bit Theater (http://www.nuklearpower.com/latest.php)
One of the best sprite comics

9th Elsewhere (http://www.9thelsewhere.com/)
Great art on this one

Nodwick AND Full Frontal Nerdity (http://archive.gamespy.com/comics/nodwick/index.htm)
Look in the comic section beside OOTS in you Dragon Magazine, you'll see this guy. Good Stuff.

And if you seek a list, Buzzcomix (buzzcomix.net) is good for finding new untapped webcomics.

EDIT: Oops, forgot Slightly Damned (http://www.raizap.com/sdamned/index.htm); thats another of my faves.

Well, two I like are:

www.biggercheese.com - funny as hell, and saying the name 'bigger than cheeses', in a strong brit accent gives off a beatles-FX message.

www.brinkcomic.com - a comic about a divorcing rabbit. Enough said.

http://www.hello-cthulhu.com/-a chibi comic of Cthulhu stuck in the realm of Hello Kitty. Very random update schedule.

http://www.thenoobcomic.com/-parody of MMORPG cliches. Random updates, but generally 1 or 2 a week

http://www.commissionedcomic.com/- comic based upon the musings of a commission-based fantasy artist. Mon through Sat updates.

http://www.dungeoncrawlinc.com/-fantasy comic loosely based in the Forgotten Realms. Started sprite-went drawn. Random weekend updates

http://www.closetgamers.com/-comics based upon the D&D and World of Darkness campaigns of a group of people. Random updates

I just want to plug a second vote for Full Frontal Nerdity (http://archive.gamespy.com/comics/nodwick/ffn/ffn.htm). More crunchy gamer humor than you can shake a stick at.

The most recent comic is also interesting.

http://www.slackerscomic.com/destinydreamers/ Amusing comic set in the FFXI MMO world. Hasn't updated in a long time though.

http://www.instantclassic.net/ Makes fun of various aspects of film genre and it's industry.

http://www.samandfuzzy.com/ Guy lives with a short bear-like creature, and weird things happen.

http://minesbigger.novablade.com/ Comic with lots of bad tower jokes but still amusing.

http://www.pvponline.com - great characters

http://www.penny-arcade.com, of course - it's "The Daily Show" for gamers

http://www.alpha-shade.com - dramatic comic with great art, cool original setting

http://www.garenewing.co.uk/orchid/ - another dramatic (and sometimes really funny) adventure comic set in the 1920s with a very entertaining Jules Verne feel

I keep trying CAD, hoping it would get better, but I can't get over the lazy cut-and-paste "art" (http://www.hockeyzombie.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=930&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start =0 and lowest-hanging-fruit jokes. Ah well.

Unfortunately, two of the three comics I check regularly are (or seem to be) on hiatus. But here they are anyway:

The Noob (http://www.thenoobcomic.com) is current, a bit of MMORPG satire. I'm not clear on what the schedule is, but at least you can see where she's up to with the next comic.

The other two I like mostly for their whimsy, not sure if they'd be to everyone's taste:

Jellaby (http://www.secretfriendsociety.com) is a cute story, well-drawn, about a weird schoolgirl with a creature for a friend. It's been on hiatus for a while - the author is an assistant editor for Flight, a magazine anthology of comics. Don't know when it'll be back. But the fact that it's been on hiatus before - and come back - is probably a good sign.

For beautiful artwork, I look at Copper (http://www.boltcity.com/copper) way too often, even though it only comes out once per month. I'm not sure if he's updating at the moment - the last update was April, and the 'date' on the next one is "July". But it's worth a look.

And the place I found these two comics was the Webcomics Examiner's Best Webcomics of 2005 list (http://webcomicsreview.com/examiner/issue051212/best2005.html). Seemed to be a good place to look.

Enjoy :)

Edit: Oops, got an address wrong. And someone already posted about The Noob.

Most of mine have already been linked above, but for the sake of completeness:

PVP Online - http://www.pvponline.com
Penny Arcade - http://www.penny-arcade.com
Ctrl-Alt-Del - http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com
Full Frontal Nerdity - http://archive.gamespy.com/comics/nodwick/ffn/ffn.htm
Dork Tower - http://archive.gamespy.com/comics/dorktower/

...and, finally, my friend started a new Web comic a few months ago. It has nothing to do with video games or D&D, it's basically just crude observations on life. He hasn't updated in a few weeks because he just moved but I'm sure if enough of you visit and send him an email telling him how much you love/hate his stuff it will motivate him to continue his work towads the betterment of mankind. :P

Outside the Sphere (http://studentweb.eku.edu/james_embry5/), is a webcomic about life, aikido, and video games.

The discontinued A Modest Destiny (http://www.squidi.net/comic/amd/view.php?id=1), funny, made from pixels, but gorey.

Irregular Webcomic! (http://www.irregularwebcomic.net/) is a daily (weird, huh?) webcomic using legos, miniatures, and the author as the medium.

Dork Tower (http://archive.gamespy.com/comics/dorktower/), which is a great comic about gamers. DO NOT SHOW TO PEOPLE BIASED AGAINST GAMING.

Then there's OOTS.

I second ^. I love that little strip. Probably only for people who haven't sold their inner child into slavery, though. But it is more than cute.

Also, The Wotch (http://www.thewotch.com), about a high-school girl with magic. It has been building up to some kind of story of battle against dark powers, but for the most part it's youthful hijinks. Kind of like Buffy if Xander got turned into a girl every episode.

And Errant Story (http://www.errantstory.com), an intriguing fantasy story of power-mad teenage half-elves and assasins and elves. Mature content warning, though.

Psst! There's a stickied thread for this now! Post your webcomics there!

I'd like it to be longer, to be more convenient to forum members to find a webcomic to read (or find a misplaced one). And it's more organized, so it's easier to find what you're looking for.
