Yendor noticed and translated the dwarven runes (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=20482144&postcount=57) surrounding the "Circle of Truth" in #1026.

THIS IS A CIRCLE OF TRUTH WHITCH (sic) IS LIKE A ZONE OF TRUTH ONLY IT WORKS FOR NARRATIVE REASONS. TRUE DAT.

This makes me wonder about the clearly visible scroll text visible on the scroll that Blacking uses to defeat the summoned rats in #1020 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots1020.html)

I can't find any translation of it in the comment thread on #1020, or in the Transcription thread.

Has anyone attempted this? I'm desperately curious, but clueless as to where to begin.

There were more examples of this, such as the hallucination-inducing runes on the wall in Girards pyramid and the symbols around Vaarusvius when he went soul-spliced.

One of the cases I remember best was when a bunch of people were trying to figure out if the scribbles on the end of Vaarsuvius' cloak meant anything. It took a while, I believe, until the general conclusion was "no".

I don't know if it counts or not, but the weird language Zzdtri's devil used while dismissed was also translated. It said something to the effect of "Well if the boss is gone I'm leaving"
