So not to start another argument about bloodlines, but... I'm going to start another argument about bloodlines. So in the text, bloodlines are described thusly:

Include the character's bloodline level when calculating any character ability based on his class levels (such as caster level for spellcasting characters, or save DCs for characters with special abilities whose DCs are based on class level). The character doesn't gain any abilities, spells known, or spells per day from the addition of his bloodline levels, though—only the calculations of his level-based abilities are affected.

If a character has levels in two or more classes in addition to his bloodline levels, each class gains the benefit of adding the bloodline levels when calculating abilities.

For example, a 2nd-level sorcerer with a major bloodline takes a bloodline level when earns enough XP to advance in level. He is treated as a 3rd-level spellcaster for the purpose of spell durations, caster level checks, and so forth. But he doesn't gain a 3rd-level sorcerer's spells per day or spells known.

Similarly, the stunning attacks of a 3rd-level monk with one bloodline level have a save DC equal to 12 (10 + one-half class level) plus her Wisdom modifier, since the bloodline level is treated as if it were a monk class level when calculating the save DC. A 3rd-level monk/3rd-level sorcerer with two bloodline levels would be treated as a 5th-level spellcaster and a 5th-level monk for determining level-based abilities.

So let's say a character has class levels in Rogue, then takes three bloodline levels, and then takes a level in Assassin. Would the bloodline levels add to the Assassin Death Attack DC?
Suppose the character had a level in Assassin before taking the bloodline levels; would it work the same? Suppose this same character had levels in both Assassin and Teflammar Shadowlord. These two classes both have the Death Attack feature and stack to determine the DC. Would the bloodline levels increase the DC for both classes, essentially giving +2 to the DC for each bloodline level?
Suppose the character also had a level in Black Flame Zealot. Would the bloodline levels increase the DC by 3 each?

1. Yes, it would be treated as having 4 levels in Assassin for the DC
2. Yes, if it had a level in Assassin and Shadowlord, it would treat them as if they were both level 4, stacking appropriately
3. Yes, see above.

Agreed with the above.

Yeah, one of the... Dumb things about Bloodlines is how a Wizard 3/Master Specialist 2/Divine Oracle 1/Mindbender 1/Olin Girsir 1/ Loremaster 1/Mage of the Arcane Order 1/Fatespinner 1 with a Minor Bloodline who takes his Bloodline level at this point has a Caster level of 19 for his spells at ECL 11 or 12, depending on how you interpret the rules for bloodlines. (Obviously you can do it better with a Cleric who does the same thing, but doesn't even have to pull shenanigans to add Holy Word to his spell list).

Almost like bloodlines are a poorly thought out extremely slapdash variant shoveled out in a book full of poorly thought out extremely slapdash variants.

The rule about bloodlines adding to all class levels for purposes of features which calculate anything based on class level doesn't say anything about having to have the classes before you take the level. So yes, your Rogue 1/Bloodline 3/Assassin 1 counts as Assassin 4 for all assassin-related calculations of class feature numbers.
