There's never going to be an answer for any question about Dvati that doesn't end up with "Ask your DM." The two-bodies-one-soul thing is poorly written and leaves a lot ambiguous, and no existing rule nor class nor feat was written with the Dvati in mind. Someone can make a justification for Dvati having two psicrystals because each distinct mind forms a gem, and someone can make a justification for Dvati having one psicrystal because they also have only one pool of power points from any Psionic class and so all psychic things are shared. There is no RAW answer for this.

To answer this question, you should ask yourself the same thing about Leadership and determine if that's how you think it should be run. Because yeah, it's gonna be a DM call. Dvati are not a well-defined race, mechanically.
