Well, Roy's face has been looking strange to me for a while now. Today I finally noticed that he is one of the few characters whose "far eye" is taller than the "close eye". To make what I say understandable, in this emoticon the "far eye" is the one to the left, the "close eye" is the one to the right: :roy: The only other character I found having such eyes was the bodyguard wearing a kilt. I wonder if this eye disposition means a strong bone structure combined with an elongated head (simply because the "long" eye in that position makes the face look longer to me, and both characters sporting it are warriors).

Thog has it too, doesn't he?

I always kinda figured it meant Roy was cross-eyed/had a lazy eye

He didn't have it in the early strips, but at some point it became standard for all characters with Roy's "bulky" body type, including Thog and the male orcs on the island. Eugene also has them. Ironically, Julia doesn't have them despite what Durkon said. (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0353.html)

Huh, you're right.

I think the first appearance of it is here (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0013.html), but it reverts immediately thereafter. I wonder when it started becoming a consistent thing - it seems to be more frequent in the comics after that I checked, but I need to go to bed and can't do a thorough perusal to find out rn.

Nice catch! I never picked up on it consciously, but now that I notice it, it's really easy to see.

I have skimmed though some older pages, and the wights, the Azurite slaves saved by Haley and the Azurite guards all seem to have Roy's eyes. And so do the ogres and the half-ogre.

Also, one of his boots is twice as big as the other one

Does he have his mother's eyes? Like Harry Potter?

That's really morbid, man. Desecration of a corpse is no laughing matter.
