One of my players is running an 11th level ranger, that has an Elven Double Bow. He now has the Manyshot Feat. How many arrows can he fire in one round?
I feel that: He gets the standard for having the Manyshot feat, with a +11 BAB, which is 3 attacks as a standard action, at his full attack bonus -6. He can chose to use a Move action to nock an extra arrow on the sting before the first shot. This would make it 4 attacks at his full attack bonus -8.
He feels that: He should get to fire 6 arrows at a - 12, because he's using the bow, he feels that ever shot should get the extra arrow on the second string.
However, as it is a move action to add the extra arrow to the string, no matter what your BAB is, you only ever get to add that once per round, and only if you use the move action first.
Thoughts?
Next level he plans on taking the Greater Manyshot feat from EPH. So, how will the number off arrows/the penalties to attacks work for that?
Thanks for any help in advance.
