"Turn Wood", undefined ability of monster from Fiend Folio?

The Octopus Tree from Fiend Folio p. 130 has a spell-like ability called "Turn Wood", but neither its stat-block or any other resource I scoured defines what this does? Is my copy wrong? Is it a known typo? Is there any mention of an ability of this name anywhere?

As best I can tell, that's supposed to be repel wood. The spell named is actually extant as a 1st edition druid spell that, as far as I can tell, does the exact same thing as repel wood. I'd go with that.
