Note: Intelligent Items (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/intelligentItems.htm) are not, in fact, an objects, but Constructs
This by itself make them qualify for some templates
But, if you will cast Greater Humanoid Essence on them, their type will change to Humanoid (even if just temporarily), and Humanoids are qualify for huge number of templates
