I want to see how broken I can make an illusionist in a 3.5 game.

Regulations:
Must be from published Wizards books
6th level character
Gestalt (not affecting the 6th level)
OP as possible

Any assistance is appreciated.
Thank you.

This begs for the application of Beguiler, Ultimate Magus, and Shadowcraft Mage.

Is Dragon Magazine allowed?

It's ridiculously sketchy and will probably get vetoed, but since you want broken, you could try to argue for using all uses of Metamagic Spell Focus at once on Net of Shadows to heighten it to a 4th level Shadow spell so you can enter Shadowcraft Mage at level 2. Take anything that gets you Hide and Bluff on the other side (I recommend Beguiler).

So,

Arcane Gnome(Dragon 291) Illusionist 1//Anything with Hide and Bluff 1, Spell Focus (Illusion), Metamagic Spell Focus (Illusion (Flaw), Heighten Spell (Flaw), Swap familiar for Illusion School Mastery (+10% Shadow reality) (Dragon 357) followed by Shadowcraft Mage all the way to 6, and whatever you want on the other side.

Also, read this. (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=16433.0)

Unfortunately the most OP build given your parameters is Pun-Pun. I say unfortunately, because this is not a helpful answer. Perhaps if you gave us an idea of your limitations.

^ This. Pun-Pun won't likely be allowed in games, though, so maybe this (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?414318-The-Might-of-Mystra-Spontaneous-At-Will-Practically-Infinite-CL-Miracles-at-Level-6) works best? At will Miracle by level 5 (or 4, if Cleric is on the gestalt side), and you are free to fill the other side mostly with anything.

Play a Gnome (Focused) Specialist Illusionist 3 / Master Specialist 3 // Incarnate 2 / X 3. Take the feats Shadow Weave Magic, Spell Focus (Illusion), Mastery of Dreams, Sacred Vow and Vow of Nonviolence (possibly drop these if the alignment restriction is too much) and gain Skill Focus (Spellcraft) and Greater Spell Focus (Illusion) for free. Take the Chains of Disbelief (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/specialistWizardVariants.htm#chainsofDisbelief) ACF to cause further difficulties in getting through your spells and the Gnome Illusionist substitution level for lower levelled illusion spells. Shape the Illusion Veil Soulmeld.

You have +10 DC to the saves of all nondamaging illusion spells. (+1 SWM, +1 MoD, +1 SF, +1 GSF, +1 IV, +1 gnome, +4 VoN). Pick spells to taste and start from there. I'd recommend Curse of the Putrid Husk but that clashes with the exalted feats.

Shadow Trickster increases illusion dcs by two. It is a feat in TOB which requires you to have a shadow hand stance and a shadow hand strike, it is designed to provide synergy for the classes that multiclass a swordsage with an illusion specialist.

Tattoo Focus Feat if you do a human who specializes as a wizard in illusions.

Mastery of Twisted Shadow is a feat that gives you free concealment whenever you cast an illusion spell (players guide to eberron)

Do not forget darkstalker and mindsight from lord of madness while they are not technically illusion based they work well for an illusionist who hides from his enemies. Same with invisible spell if you do choose any spells with visual manifestations (ask if you can make a metamagic rod)

One level dip in swashbuckler with arcane stunt (blur) is a great addition.

Gestalt question: if illusionist gets +1 bab at level two, if you put a +0 bab class dip at level two, does the illusionist's BAB increase?
Example:
level 1: illusionist 1//swashbuckler 1 (BAB +1 from swashbuckler)
Level 2: illusionist 2// cleric 1 (BAB +2 from illusionist)

The most broken you could get is a level 1 Human Expert with Skill Focus and Nymph Kissed. They can act an infinite number of rounds per round, with time stop, or 10 per round without, and can cast every spell in the game at max caster level(let's just say 40 for ease of use). They also have access to NI divine rank.

But if you were wanting something a little less book-throwy, disregard the above.
