Casting Wish from Magic Items: Lose it Forever?

Does someone who casts Wish from the Luck Blade or Ring of Three Wishes potentially lose the chance to use those items for the effect again? Like could I roll badly for the first wish on my ring and then lose the chance to use the next two wishes?

I would rule that it is the item and not you casting the spell. No risk to you. This is why they are so coveted, even by wizards with the spell.

A few items explicitly state they use your spellcasting ability, so I agree that the rest should not interact with that ability.
